Chapter Text

Some stories aren't written with ink. Some are recorded in the quiet moments we don't realize will become memories.

Award-winning film director Mikha Lim built a career that taught the world how to tell unforgettable stories. The only story she couldn't save... was her own. Three years after a painful divorce, Mikha spends every chance she gets with her six-year-old daughter, Maria Lucienne "Mili" Arceta-Lim, a bright little girl who believes Star Wars can fix almost anything, hugs her Naynay like a koala, and carries an old camcorder everywhere she goes.

Unknown to everyone, Mili has been filming her own life. Tiny interviews. Funny adventures with her Yoda plush. Messages for Naynay and Mommy. Little moments that seem ordinary enough to forget.

While Mikha learns to navigate single parenthood and a career that never slows down, Dr. Aiah Arceta begins building a new life in Amsterdam, where a new love, a new home, and an upcoming wedding promise the fresh start she has long convinced herself she deserves.

Separated by oceans, time zones, and years of unspoken words, Mikha and Aiah find themselves connected only by the one person who never stopped believing they were still a family.

Mili.
The little girl who never asks for impossible things. Only bedtime stories, pancakes on Sunday mornings. Movie nights with Naynay. Video calls with Mommy. And one day...A family picture where no one has to stand apart.

As forgotten recordings slowly begin to resurface, old memories are replayed, unfinished conversations refuse to stay buried, and two mothers are forced to confront the question they have spent years avoiding:
Can love ever truly disappear... Or does it simply wait for someone brave enough to press play?

Press Record, Mili is a story about family, forgiveness, the quiet beauty of ordinary days, and the tiny moments that become the greatest memories of our lives. Because sometimes... The most important person in a story isn't the one telling it. It's the little girl who quietly recorded it all.
