"Wil, I can't do this anymore. You, me, us. It needs to stop."

Wil's easy smile falls, replaced by confusion. "You can't mean that. What about these past two years? We've been together since I started freshman year."

"I'm seeing someone else, Wilson. A girl, the way it's meant to be."

Wil's eyes fill with tears, staring at Bran in disbelief. "So you're just going to throw these last two years away like what? Like I was just your experiment? Like I just exist for you to kiss a dude when you feel like it?"

"Yes, Wil! Because this—" Bran gestures between the two of them emphatically—"is a sin!"

"It's that brunette girl, isn't it? The one who looks just like me? Heather? God, you're pathetic. Don't come crawling back when she sees how shitty you are. Goodbye, Bran." Wil scoffs, his tears drying as he walks away.

Somehow a part of him had always known it would end this way.
Another part of him knows that is doesn't have to end this way.
So he vows to himself that he will get out of this town by any means necessary. He'll pay for it with his songs. People always underestimate the power of music.
