Work Text:
It was bright.
The child wasn't aware of the sight he hadn't even heard of, but the moonlit sky was brighter than any other sight he had witnessed.
An explosion rang in the distance.
But the child stared ahead, overhead, marking the array of stars and eternity in his blue, unperturbed eyes.
It was the sky he had never thought he would wish to see.
Something cold soaked his body.
But it was a necessity, an inevitable end.
The stardust, the explosion, his own shattering body—it was all inevitable.
Still, there remained a wish.
If life was as torturous he believed death would be moral.
After all, who would ever show such a mesmerising sight to a four year old dragon, who couldn't even learn how to use his mana properly?
