Ok, now I've seen it all

Summary:

It was a normal day at camp for Percy. Until it wasn't...

Notes:

Thank you for reading! I most likely won't be able to update for a long time so instead of posting the whole thing at once like I originally planned, I decided to give you all the first few chapters.

Chapter 1: Percy argues over sea gods' names

Chapter Text

Percy was in his cabin, he had a schedule to make. For himself since he was the only camper who is a son of Poseidon, except for Tyson. He had put it off for way too long now. Annabeth was showing fresh campers in the Athena Cabin sword fighting. Percy begged her to let him help but she insisted he finished the scheduling.

This or going on another quest because of some prophecy? He asked himself.

Quests sound better. His very bored brain replied.

Do you wanna do sword fighting with Annabeth or not? He thought.

You’ve gone through 2 prophecies, Jackson! His brain reminded him.

“OK, I am going nuts! Seriously though, if I had a nickel for every time I was the child of some great prophecy, I’d have 2 nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird it happened twice.”

He was thinking about all that he and Annabeth had been through all those years when he noticed something swirling in front of him. Out came two people. They looked a few years older than Percy. Probably somewhere towards 20.

“What in Hades-”

The boy drew out his sword,

“Where are we?! Tell us who you are!”

Percy took a step back, ready to use his own sword if needed,

“I’m Percy,” he said slowly, “Percy Jackson…Son of Poseidon.”

The boy seemed to be caught off guard by how Percy handled the situation.

“So…what’s your name?”

“Hiccup… Son of Stoick.” The last part seemed to be rather hard for Hiccup to say.

“Who in Odin’s name is Poseidon?” The girl asked.

“The God of the Sea obviously!” Percy answered.

“No, he isn’t” The girl shot back, “The God of the Sea is Njörðr. And how in Thor’s hammer are you a child of some god?”

“1)Because my mom is the best woman ever! And 2) WHAT?! What in Hades is Njörðr? ” Percy asked.

Just then, Annabeth came through the cabin door.

“Seaweed Brain? What is happening?”

“Annabeth…” Percy said slowly, “These are our guests Hiccup and-”

“Astrid.” The girl said.

“Hiccup and Astrid who don’t know that Poseidon is the god of the sea. Not-”

“Njörðr.” Hiccup answered wearily.

“Oh!” Annabeth chirped, very intrigued, “I’ve read about this! Percy, you and I are the children of the Greek Gods. Njörðr is the Norse god of the sea! Basically, you’re both right!”

“Finally! Someone who gets it!” Astrid exclaimed. Annabeth looked at both of them with narrow eyes. Then her eyes widened in shock.

“Wait! I recognize you!” Just then, she put her hands on her mouth as if scared she’ll say a tabooed word.

“You do?” Hiccup asked, suspicious.

“You’re from Berk, aren’t you?”

The words sat there like a bomb with a potential that  everyone except Percy knew.

Wherever Berk was, it was far away…
