The more Owen watched Curt via surveillance cameras, the less he understood how he ever thought he was in love with such a man.

Curt was reckless, careless, and selfish to the very end. He was a coward who thought himself a hero and a fool who thought himself the world’s greatest intelligence operative. What a fucking joke.

It was sickening, watching Curt drink himself sick or have one night stands with strange men in bars and break down crying as soon as they were gone.

If this was America’s best and brightest, Owen was damn glad to be English.
