Chapter Text

Mt. Mikami, Summer Camp 2010…

An elementary school girl with wavy light brown hair tied back in a high ponytail with a yellow hairband wandered about the hokora just outside the summer camp.

Strands of her hair served as the framework for her face, and she sported a western-style dress with a buttoned poncho and fringes at the bottom. It also came with a dark brown belt and golden belt buckle, and she had on pink loose socks with brown and white boots. Her most standout feature is her pink cowgirl hat held by a white drawstring.

Name: Mimi Tachikawa

Age: 11

Grade: Fifth Grade

Birthdate: April 19th, 1999

"Why didn't any of my friends want to come to summer camp this year? I thought we had this all planned out and everything!" Mimi complained, while stomping the ground and kicking up some dirt.

Amidst her frustration, she heard the slight sounds of someone inside the hokora shrine, and she cautiously approached the door to open it.

"Hello...?" Mimi uttered, now worried there might be a ghost inside the shrine.

However, inside, she saw a shorter elementary school boy staring down at his Toshiba laptop. He had light skin, short, spiky red hair, thick eyebrows and dark eyes. He sported an orange, buttoned up shirt with rolled sleeves, olive green shorts, light yellow gloves, light green socks and purple and gray shoes with a yellow lightning motif.

Name: Koushiro Izumi

Age: 11

Grade: Fifth Grade

Birthdate: March 25th, 1999

"Isn't that the geek from my class? What's he doing here?" Mimi thought to herself as she cautiously approached him.

"Dang... There's no internet connection here either. Now how am I gonna get in communication with my chatroom friends?" Izumi asked himself, not knowing someone else was present.

"Excuse me?" Mimi asked, but she received no answer from the boy who looked through the apps on his computer to help pass the time. "Hello?"

When he had booted up Minesweeper on his computer and started playing the game, Mimi became even more fed up when he was blatantly ignoring her.

"Hey! I'm talking to you!" Mimi shouted, looking like she finally got his attention.

"Nobody really talks to me. Nobody really likes me anyway. I'll just keep to myself if you don't mind." Izumi replied, not taking his eyes off the game.

She then became fed up with him and got in his face, startling him.

"Who're you calling a nobody!?" Mimi demanded.

He paused his game and immediately adopted a stiff posture before bowing his head.

"Please! Forgive me. I didn't mean to insult you. I'll go someplace else!" Izumi replied, visibly shaking in fear.

"What? You aren't gonna argue with me about this?" Mimi asked, surprised by how timid the redhead appeared to be when given a stern tone.

"Why should I...? There's not really a point to arguments... I'd rather just avoid any and all confrontation if that's all right with you." Izumi answered, now looking down at himself in shame.

"And what's with that 'nobody likes you' nonsense? As the famous 40s ‘King of Cool’ Dean Martin once said 'everybody loves somebody somewhere.'" Mimi questioned, puzzled by why anyone would ever say that about themselves.

"That was so obscure, I don't think anyone but myself would've gotten that." Izumi commented, surprised that anyone actually knew somebody from so long ago.

"My grandpa would come over every now and again and listen to that song. When I'd get sad, he would tell me that the meaning behind that song means that someone loves you." Mimi explained.

"You must be lucky... At least you have parents..." Izumi lamented as he sat down now curled up into himself.

Mimi felt a wave of sadness start to take her as she saw how truly miserable this poor boy was.

"Well, I'm not going anywhere if you wanna talk." Mimi declared, sitting next to Izumi.

"Why would you care about me? I'm just the geek of our class. I'll just go if you want." Izumi replied, but then felt Mimi grasping his hand.

"...I know I can be selfish. I just wanted to hang out with my friends... But, they decided they had different plans. I don't have anyone else to hang out with. So... If I get to choose who I hang out with, it might well be someone I can cheer up." Mimi answered.

Koushiro was genuinely surprised by the fact that someone actually cared to want to listen to him. Even if the reasoning was somewhat selfish.

"...Okay... I'm... Koushiro Izumi..." Koushiro nervously introduced himself.

"Mind if I call you Izzy?" Mimi asked cautiously, hoping the nickname wouldn’t offend him. "I'm Mimi Tachikawa."

"...Sure. I don't mind. Well... The truth is... I have parents, but... They're not my parents..." Izumi shyly explained.

"So... You're adopted?" Mimi asked innocently.

"Yes... And... I just... I don't even think they, or my real parents even loved me... So... I ended up making the logical conclusion that... I wasn't to be loved." Izumi answered somberly.

"Izumi..." Mimi uttered, as she felt tears threatening to escape her eyes as she listened to her new friend's story.

"That's why... I just want to be left alone. Plus... Not like I'd be missed anyway..." Izzy added, but then he heard sniffling from her. "Mimi? Are you... Crying?"

He looked to see Mimi sniffling and sobbing at the story that he had told her.

"I didn't mean to make you cry, Mimi. I'm really sorry!" Izumi apologized, but then felt Mimi hold his head in her hands as she hugged him.

"Koushiro Izumi! Please don't ever say that again! Please..." Mimi begged as she continued to cry.

"Mimi..." Izzy uttered, before he returned the affection. "I promise... I won't make you cry... Never again..."

The two held each other for some time inside the shrine. It got to the point where eventually the two ended up falling asleep inside the shrine.

Unbeknownst to them, someone had come up to check the hokora to find anyone inside, but the minute they saw them, they closed the door.

The first of the two was a young, lightly tanned girl with orange colored hair and maroon eyes. She sported a yellow sleeveless turtlenecked shirt with a white collar and triangle under it and ruff on the bottom.

She also had on a pair of red gloves, blue jeans with a pink belt and pouch, dark gray sneakers with crimson highlights and lightning bolts on the soles and a blue beanie with a cyan brim and straps.

Name: Sora Takenouchi

Age: 11

Grade: Fifth Grade

Birthdate: May 17th, 1999

The other was a boy of similar age who had tanned skin, chocolate brown eyes and brown hair spiked in three distinct triangles. He sported a pair of light gray goggles with a black strap over a blue headband on his forehead.

He also had on a blue t-shirt with orange stars on the sleeves, a yellow pocket on each side of the chest and three buttons in the top over a slightly longer yellow t-shirt with a turtleneck collar, brown cargo shorts, a black armband on his left arm, white gloves, whitish blue loose socks and blue and white sneakers with yellow triangles on them.

Name: Taichi Kamiya

Age: 11

Grade: Fifth Grade

Birthdate: April 5th, 1999

"Okay, Sora, what gives? Did you find anyone?" Taichi asked.

"We might wanna leave them alone. I think they're fine as is. They’re sleeping right now." Sora answered.

"So what? Are we supposed to just wait here until they wake up?" Taichi asked.

"Well, duh." Sora responded.

"Figures... Who's even in there anyway?" Taichi questioned.

"I think they're a couple of students from the classroom next to us." Sora replied.

"Just dandy!" Taichi complained as he took a seat on the steps near Sora, while looking down at his smartphone.

"Wanna toss the ball around?" Sora suggested, pulling out a soccer ball from her bag.

The two close friends then got into a round of bouncing the ball on their legs, chest and heads. They shared a laugh as though it was the most fun they’ve had so far during their time at camp.

After long enough, the two occupants were roused by the sound of a soccer ball being bounced and passed around.

"Maybe we should see who's there?" Izumi suggested.

"I guess... Maybe Fujiyama-sensei's worried." Mimi replied.

The two then got up, with Mimi firmly holding Izzy's hand as they went towards the door, and were greeted by Tai and Sora.

"Oh! Are you two in the same class?" Mimi asked, surprised by their presence.

"If you guys were in my class, I'd know. Name's Taichi Kamiya." Taichi greeted, approaching the two with an extended hand.

"And I'm Sora Takenouchi. We kinda went out on Fujiyama-sensei's behalf." Sora added, bowing her head in introduction.

"Hey now! I thought I was supposed to be leading the search party!" A slightly older voice complained as his panting made itself known to the group.

This one was a taller boy than anyone else here. He had short blue hair, black eyes, a pair of glasses over his eyes and he sported a green watch on his left wrist, a white-purple short sleeved button-up shirt underneath a cream colored vest with blue trimmings, gray shorts, with knee length cobalt blue socks and red and white boots.

Strapped around his shoulder was a large medical bag filled with many supplies, unlike the backpacks everyone else had on their person.

Name: Jou Kido

Age: 12

Grade: First Year Middle School

Birthdate: May 9th, 1998

"The fact that we were able to find them a while ago as opposed to our 'diligent' senpai is something else." Taichi commented.

"I would've caught up to you guys had you not run off without me!" Jou shouted.

"Knock it off you two. The point is, we found the other kids that weren't accounted for and we can all go back to report to Fujiyama-sensei." Sora said, breaking up the fight.

"Sorry about that, Jou-senpai. I didn't mean to upset you." Taichi apologized, as the upperclassman breathed an exasperated sigh.

"It's fine... I'm used to it by now. I'm supposed to be an up and coming doctor like the rest of my family, and I just wanted to study." Jou replied.

"That sounds interesting." Izumi commented.

"Is it true that doctors are paid a lot?" Mimi asked, though Izumi narrowed his eyes at her as though she asked a wrong question.

"Well yeah. But, doctors save lives, you know? They're imperative to society. And, as the youngest son to the Kido family, I wish to uphold my family's standards." Jou answered, taking up a proud stance.

"When you put it like that, that sounds very noble. Though... Are you sure your parents wanted you to study at camp?" Mimi questioned.

"Yeah, isn't the whole point of summer camp supposed to be that you relax and have fun?" Tai added to the list of questions.

"Come to think of it... Why am I here? Did my parents think I needed a break? No! That's not like them! They'd want me to get into a good college and-" Jou thought to himself, but he was cut off, feeling the prying eyes of his underclassmen.

"You don't know, do you?" Sora asked.

"...No. I don't." Jou answered as he fell to his knees, deflated.

"How about this? While we're here, why don't we do some exploring? There's a lot to do around Mt. Mikami. And I wanna see the whole place!" Taichi suggested.

"Hey, you know I'm in." Sora said, agreeing to his plan.

"Since I don't have any means of contacting my chatroom friends, and I won't be able to be by myself... I'll at least be in the company of new friends." Izumi reasoned.

"See? Some outdoor activities will do us some good!" Mimi commented.

"First off, we should report to Fujiyama-sensei! And then... I'll go with you guys." Jou said, before he agreed to the plan.

"Alright. Then let's make the most of this summer vacation!" Tai declared.

"By the way... Wasn't Hikari gonna go with you?" Sora asked.

"She was, but she said she was helping a friend of hers with studying. Hopefully she hasn't gotten a cold again." Taichi answered.

Though, as they were headed back the group heard the sounds of a harmonica being played. Taichi was the first to break off from the group to investigate, prompting the others to join in as well.

“I swear, being an upperclassman might as well be a placeholder title at this point!” Jou shouted, lamenting how nobody seemed to follow his direction.

“If anything, it does give you seniority.” Izumi replied, hoping to cheer up his upperclassman.

Taichi then stopped and looked up at the tree and saw an aloof looking stranger playing the instrument.

He was about the same age as everyone else present, with fair skin, spiked blonde hair with windswept bangs, sharp blue eyes. Though, unlike everyone else he did appear to be somewhat foreign. One would mistake him for being French.

He sported a sleeveless turtleneck, brown gloves, navy blue jeans and dark brown shoes with gray soles.

Name: Yamato Ishida

Age: 11

Grade: Fifth Grade

Birthdate: February 10th, 1999

“Hey! Come down here! Fujiyama-sensei is doing roll calls and we need to all be present and accounted for!” Taichi shouted, much to everyone else’s worry.

“You can tell him that I’ve been up here. You don’t need me to be present.” Yamato replied, as he stopped playing the instrument.

“Look, why don’t we just leave him be? He clearly doesn’t want us to bother him.” Jou insisted, attempting to derail the situation.

“Yeah, no. We don’t get special treatment, he doesn’t either.” Taichi replied, as he took a few steps back, before he jumped onto the tree Yamato was on and started climbing it.

When he got onto the same branch as Ishida, Taichi sneered at the blonde, who was more confused than anything.

“You remind me of one of my neighbors…” Taichi said, confusing Ishida.

“In what way?” Yamato questioned, with an equally nasty sneer.

“In the way that you’re an a-hole who’d rather be by himself than do something productive!” Taichi answered

“Oh, I’m an a-hole huh?” Yamato demanded, putting away his harmonica.

The two sneered at one another on the tree branch, as though they were ready to go at a moment’s notice. However, the minute Taichi and Yamato grabbed at each other’s hair the branch broke under the stress and their combined weight.

“Owww… My hip…” Taichi groaned in pain.

“You made me hurt my wrist, you jerk!” Yamato complained, rubbing his right wrist.

“Enough! Both of you! I don’t care what beef you two have, you two are gonna apologize to each other and march down that hill!” Sora shouted, getting in-between the two of them.

“And yet another steals my spotlight… Maybe… I’m not meant to be a leader… Yeah, I probably think it’s best that I just be the one to explain things…” Jou internalized.

“Mimi… I’m a little scared.” Koushiro uttered, hiding behind his taller friend.

“Let this be a lesson, Izzy… Some girls aren’t meant to be crossed.” Mimi replied, with the poor redhead nodding in agreement.

Taichi and Yamato both grunted as they slowly rose from the ground, though it was a bit more painful for the former.

“I’m sorry…” Both said to each other.

“Very good. When we get back to the main campsite, I’ll help with your hip pain.” Sora offered.

“Thanks, Sora. You’re the best.” Taichi replied.

“As for you…” Sora said to Yamato, who realized he hadn’t introduced himself.

“Yamato Ishida.” Yamato replied.

“I’m sure Jou here can help with your wrist.” Sora said, gesturing to the upperclassman.

“Wait, you want me to help?” Jou asked, surprised that one of his underclassmen would even ask him at this point.

“Of course! You’re a med student. I’d think you’re the best qualified to help out with this scenario.” Sora answered.

Jou was genuinely flattered by Sora wanting him to help out. Each of the others started to look to him once more, and he started to feel a bit better about himself.

“In that case, I’ll do my best!” Jou exclaimed.

The group then headed down to the main campsite where they were greeted by Fujiyama-sensei who noticed that Taichi and Yamato appeared to be injured.

“What happened to them?” Fujiyama asked.

“They fell from a tree, and as the oldest of our group, I offered to help patch them up!” Jou explained.

“Mr. Kido, I hope other middle schoolers will follow your example.” Fujiyama replied, as Jou took a bow to him.

The six children gathered inside a large tent that Taichi had pitched with Sora’s help, and Jou had opened up his bag to pull out a pair of ice packs, with some children’s ibuprofen liquid.

“Here, hold this on your wrist for at least fifteen to twenty minutes, take it off, then repeat the process.” Jou said to Yamato, who had removed his glove and did as he was told.

He then poured a small amount of the ibuprofen into the plastic cup over the lid and handed it to him.

“Drink this, it’ll help with the pain.” Jou ordered, and Yamato then downed the entire thing, forcing it down.

When he handed an ice pack to Sora, she had taken the liberty of removing Taichi’s shirt, while slightly lowering his pants to reveal the injured hip as she laid him on the ground.

“You really didn’t need to do all that. I could’ve done it, you know.” Taichi groaned as he started to feel the pain ebb away.

“Taichi Kamiya, Mom wouldn’t let me play soccer because of my sprained ankle. She was very insistent I stay inside until I was better. So, I’m gonna treat you the same way.” Sora replied, before she was handed the ibuprofen.

She saw Taichi sneer at the medicine and forced it into his mouth, before closing it. The girl gave Taichi a look that told him ‘swallow, or else, young man.’ He did as he was told while grumbling about the taste.

“Look, when you’re all better, we’ll go on that adventure, alright?” Sora suggested.

“Yes, mom…” Taichi uttered with a hint of sass.

“What was that?” Sora demanded, her tone becoming just as stern as it was before.

“Yes, Sora! I’m sorry!” Taichi hurriedly said.

Everyone else that bore witness to Sora’s concern over Taichi didn’t say a word, and Koushiro meanwhile clutched Mimi’s hand tightly out of worry for his own life.

“You know, Izzy, I didn’t think you were that attached.” Mimi commented.

“I’m sorry. Would you like me to let go?” Izumi asked.

“No, it’s fine. I’ve just… Never held hands with a boy before.” Mimi answered, allowing his grasp, which he loosened.

“So what? Are you two a thing?” Yamato asked.

“Why would we be a thing? We just met.” Izumi answered.

“Plus, I’m not so desperate to go out with any guy with a pulse. But, Izzy isn’t just ANY guy. He’s my nerd.” Mimi replied, confusing the others.

“What’s that supposed to mean?” Izumi asked.

“It means that you’re my friend who happens to be a nerd.” Mimi answered.

“Huh… Well, as long as we’re friends, I’m fine with that.” Koushiro responded.

“Typically, when a girl calls you a ‘nerd’ that’s usually meant in a negative light.” Jou said.

“I get that. But, there’s something about the way she says it that makes it sound like I’m special to her.” Izumi replied.

“If you guys must know… My so-called ‘friends’ decided they didn’t want to hang out with me anymore, and since Izzy here has been very honest and he helped me when I was feeling alone.” Mimi explained. “In layman's terms, I’d rather have whom the class makes fun of as a friend over insincere people any day of the week.”

“I’m… Honestly flattered, Mimi.” Izumi said, now sporting a light blush.

“And hey, if you’re looking for more friends, and if you don’t mind my being in another school… I’ll be your huckleberry.” Jou added.

Though, she also noticed Yamato, Taichi, and Sora all raising their hands as though they were in unanimous agreement.

“I wouldn’t mind having real life friends as well as those I’ve made on the internet… I just… Need a bit to get used to the idea of that.” Izumi said.

“So, Taichi, why did you say I reminded you of a neighbor?” Yamato asked.

“Because… There’s this kid in my little sister’s class who’s always looking so depressed. To the point where he didn’t even want to come to summer camp this year.” Taichi answered.

“What was their name?” Yamato questioned.

“He went by Simon Ackerman. When his mom was in the hospital, he had to stay at my place since his dad was out making money to help fund for the medical expenses.” Taichi answered.

“What’s he like?” Yamato further asked.

“Kind of a jerk. But, when he was with us, he’d often call his mom and leave a voicemail for her.” Taichi responded. “Eventually… He started to be a bit more open… But, lately, he’s gone so quiet that he always looks so pissed off.”

“Oh… I see…” Yamato uttered, thinking about how he’s been distant from both his dad… And especially his younger brother. “You wouldn’t mind if I joined this adventure, right?”

“Hey, the more the merrier!” Taichi proclaimed with a cheerful smile.

The group then sat around and as both Taichi and Yamato made a full recovery, Jou informed Fujiyama that he and the group were going on a sort of adventure, and he’d ensure that they’d make it safely.

Taichi was the one to take the leadership role despite Jou’s protests and insistence due to being the upperclassman of the group.

“To be a bit logical here, Jou-Senpai, Taichi was the one to suggest this venture, and he does seem to have the initiative to lead us.” Izumi said, hoping to try and provide logic to this situation.

“I get that… It’s just… I wanna appear like a good upperclassman to the others. I don’t want to just be on the sidelines while you guys go off and leave me behind!” Jou complained, trying to explain his position.

“We get that Jou, but the thing is… Taichi might need somebody to make sure he doesn’t just steer us in the wrong way. Plus, he’s a great team captain, always willing to look out for the others.” Sora explained.

“Huh… When you guys put it like that, that does make sense… Yeah, it’s probably best if I just supervise you guys.” Jou said, relenting to their logic.

They continued to wander about the steep hillside of the mountain area. Always being mindful of their steps. However, Mimi had slipped and Izumi was quick to try and catch her. He grunted with effort as he tried to help her up, but found he lacked the strength to do it on his own. Sora then walked up to the two and helped both of them up.

“Thanks… Sora…” Izumi panted out.

“Sorry about that…” Mimi uttered.

“Hey, as long as everybody’s safe on this journey that’ll be fine.” Sora replied, glad that she was able to help two new friends.

“Izzy?” Mimi asked, turning her attention to the boy.

“I know… I’m sorry I couldn’t help you…” Izumi replied, already believing that he knew what she was about to say.

“Next time you want to save a damsel, you gotta build some muscle. Do some push-ups, sit-ups, and drink plenty of juice!” Mimi said, as she performed some gestures to give a visual for what Izumi should strive for.

“I’m more of an oolong tea kind of guy. It helps when I need to stay up for a project.” Koushiro replied.

“How often have you had to use the John because of that?” Mimi questioned.

“Okay, I think I see what you mean.” Izumi replied, remembering how his insides messed with him from his sessions of downing tea.

“Exactly. So, in order to help you out, I think it’ll be high time for you to get into doing some home workouts!” Mimi declared, while pointing at the resident nerd.

“Do you really need to shout all of that?” Yamato asked.

“To be fair, there’s no one else around.” Koushiro pointed out, seemingly not worried about what Mimi told him.

“And you’re just okay with doing whatever workout thing she tells you?” Yamato asked, unsure of why Izumi isn’t worried about his friend’s suggestion.

“I mean… I’m out here doing a physical activity with you guys in the form of hiking. So, if I’m to do anything that strains myself, it’s best if I build up some muscle. I can probably find a good workout method on my computer.” Izumi answered, and despite how Yamato just felt that he was being too subservient, he gave an exasperated sigh.

“I hate that you have to be right about that.” Yamato grumbled.

“If you need any further pointers, I can help you out.” Taichi offered.

“I’d appreciate that, thank you.” Koushiro replied, bowing his head in respect.

“You will also need the proper diet. So, while you can still do oolong tea every now and again, it’s best not to let your insides get messed up.” Jou added, pointing out what would be recommended for his diet.

“Prodigious… That’s a lot I’ll need to look into.” Izumi uttered.

“And you thought you weren’t gonna be able to contribute much to this, huh?” Sora said, teasing the upperclassman.

“It’s imperative to know these things when you’re a medical student.” Jou replied, pressing his finger against his glasses.

Aside from Yamato, it seemed everyone shared a hearty laugh, though he couldn’t help but smile at the group he now found himself a part of…

Three Years Later, August 10th, Izumi Residence…

Koushiro looked fondly at the new photos in his bedroom of not only himself with his new group of friends, but also one that he had of himself and Mimi. It brought an earnest smile to his face.

It was a small room that had dedicated most of its space to Koushiro’s computer desk, monitor and computer. His laptop also was on the desk next to his keyboard. There was also a satellite phone on the other side of the desk.

He had a queen sized bed next to his desk, and on the opposite end of the room was a mirror that was at least half length. He himself sported a casual orange T-shirt and pale green shorts.

“I wonder…” Izumi muttered to himself as he approached the mirror in his room.

He looked over at a picture he took of himself from years back of himself without a shirt on, and saw he had next to no muscle on him whatsoever. He then lifted his shirt off and looked at the mirror to see that he had sported a bit more of an athletic build after he looked into what would be the best ways to get fit at home.

The redhead took a picture of himself in the mirror, proud of how far he’s come, especially thanks to Jou, and Taichi’s recommendations. He did of course have to ask his parents about these changes to his diet.

“Still though… It’s been three years since we first met, and… It’s been at least a week since that whole thing with the Digital World. I would’ve liked to have gone to the Digital World.” Izumi thought to himself before he turned to the window and was greeted by what appeared to be a large red and brownish green bipedal ladybug with green eyes.

It had four arms, with the first pair ending in a single gray talon on each one. The creature also had a pair of yellow antennae reaching out from its head. Its elytra was covered with gray spines, and there were black muscles on the brachium of its arms and its thighs.

“...Prodigious…” Izumi uttered in amazement.

“I’m sorry, I seem to be lost and I was looking for someone who can help me get back home, shirtless human.” The ladybug said, curious about the teen’s amazement.

“Sorry about that.” Koushiro replied, before he put on his orange t-shirt. “My name is Koushiro Izumi. But, my friends call me Izzy.”

The redhead held out his hand to greet the insect-like creature, who studied his gesture with curiosity.

“Well, I’m called Tentomon.” Tentomon introduced himself as he shook Izumi’s hand.

However, Izumi’s phone vibrated and he immediately went to answer it when he saw that it was Mimi calling.

“Hey, uh… Izzy, can you help me with something?” Mimi asked when he answered.

“Is it by any chance Digimon related?” Izumi replied, looking over at Tentomon.

“Well…” Mimi said, glancing over to the floor.

There she saw a bipedal mandrake-like creature with a tail and small bumps lining up its back. It had large, root-like feet and foliage-like hands. Each had three purple-tipped vines that acted like fingers. The top of its head was adorned with a pink and yellow flower with a long yellow stamen that had a red tip.

“Yeah, I think the Digimon said its name was… Palmon?” Mimi finished looking over the creature.

“Yup. And you have a very lovely bedroom.” Palmon answered, complimenting her large, spacious bedroom filled with a number of stuffed animals and a large comfy bed.

“How did you guess, anyway?” Mimi asked.

“I’ve got one who apparently visited me when I was doing my weekly progress picture.” Koushiro answered.

“Oh, wow! How’d that go? I wanna see it!” Mimi asked, proud of her friend’s efforts.

Just then, she received a text that showed Izumi’s current build and she continued to smile at him.

“Is that your human friend?” Palmon asked.

“Not just my friend, he’s my nerd, and best friend.” Mimi answered with pride.

“We should probably meet up at the park to talk about this, cause I know Taichi and Yamato have a couple of Digimon. So, chances are there’s something going on.” Koushiro suggested.

“Right. Text Jou and ask him to come join us too!” Mimi replied.

To Be Continued in Digimon Crimsonverse: The Tracks of Iliad…
