Work Text:
Humor you? My dear do I look like a comedian to you?
No I suppose not, but then I must call into question your implications of “my dear”. I digress however and while I might still inquire, enlighten me where I can’t help but find myself in the dark
Expecting help from those you’ve besmirched will indeed leave you stranded in darkness, next time I advise you bring a light.
And to think you weren’t a comedian- for what are they if not poets?
If they were intended to be the same, there would be no need for the distinction.
A rose by any other name my dear. God. Allah. Jesus. Are these not all interconnected split identities of one cosmic entity? Our lives are the punchline to a joke we will never understand. William. Shakespeare. Two names in reference to one man. Call him by either his person does not change.
Do you intend me to expect you interchangeably conflate the verbiage of comedians and studied poets?
Ah so you take issue with my remark as a result of your own prejudices!
I believe society would take issue with your remark
is society to blame for our prejudices? I who have found myself in the very society you yourself reside in, dear, do not hold your pretensions.
