Their hair intertwines as Selina presses Victoria into the bed. They shouldn't be doing this, Helena and Holly are asleep in the bed next to them. All the Calicos are light sleepers and a single sound would ruin everything.
"You can't avoid it forever," Victoria says. This being their conversation thirty seconds earlier.
"Shut up," she says.
Selina kisses her, licking clumsily into her mouth. It isn't the first time they've kissed—Vic isn't even the first person she's kissed—however her technique could use some work. Underneath her Victoria starts kissing back making Selina gasp. Selina's sure that they'll be right back to arguing tomorrow, but for now she rejoices in successfully escaping the conversations.
"So," Victoria says, sitting across from her. She really hasn't changed much. Taller, longer hair and just as pretty. "You ready to talk about why you sold out Holly?"
No, Selina does not want to talk about the last week of her life. She stalks closer, pressing her body against Victoria. Selina's breath ghosts her face as her eyes dip to her lips. She leans in for the kill only to stumble back when Victoria shoves her off.
"God, you really haven't changed," Victoria says with a bitter laugh. "I'm not letting you out of this so easily."
Selina collects herself. "I have nothing to say about this," she says before stalking off.
"Pushing people away won't save you!" she calls out after her.
But it would be so much easier if it did.
