Work Text:

007n7 shot up in a cold sweat. C00lkidd's disappearence has seriously been taking a toll on his mental health. It's been affecting his sleep. He cant even rest for 2 hours without being jolted awake by his thoughts! He used to be content, and buoyant, being able to be around the person that makes him the happiest. The Light to his world. C00lkidd was everything, but now...

He rubbed his head in annoyance at how often this had been happening. His vision was blurry. He had a headache from crying himself to sleep. He was feeling sluggish, he was stressed. After being sprawled out against the ground, letting his vision clear for a couple of minutes, he finally noticed where he was. It did not look like how he remembered his bedroom, infact, it wasn't his bedroom at all.

He was in a medium-sized forest clearing. Trees surrounding him in a circle. He peered upward towards the sky.  A deep charcoal shade was visible, though partially masked by dense mist. 007n7 looked to the trees surrounding him. The fading light left the trees cloaked in the sky's dark shade. As he surveyed these details, he could feel panick and anxious creep over him as the realization sets in. He went to take a simple, light nap in the afternoon before being taken into this odd forest clearing, The sky hue then did not match the current one. Could it be?..

"No, snap out of those thoughts!" He scolded himself. Theres no way he could end up like those lost robloxians! Theres no way he could go missing like some of the admins of Robloxia themselves! It can't be that he's sharing the same fate as... Elliot Builder. The same Elliot that he has struck distraught and pain into so many times earlier. The same Elliot that had their family business fall apart before their eyes, all because of him. 007n7 didn't want to think about it. He didn't to shed light on the possible outcome of him having to face Elliot again.

007n7 was interrupted by incoming footsteps outside of his vision.  He scrambled to his feet, trying to maintain his balance as he stumbled around, trying to look for a hiding spot. As he searched, he heard talking. There seems to be more than one of whoever was approaching. During his state of stress and urgency, he was able to catch a piece of the conversation that the incoming group was having.

"Remind me. Why are we out here again??" A voice questioned.

"I already told ya', Shed. We're lookin' to see if we got some new teammates." Another voice replied.

Wait.. Shed? As in, Shedletsky?.. So this has been where the admins went.. Maybe the other robloxians too.. Even Elliot.

"Builder!... We could have gone tomorrow! I'm hungry..."

"Ya' always hungry..."

Builderman?.. Oh no. Not the admins! 007n7 started to wonder what the admins would to him if they find him.. Ban him?.. Take C00lkidd? Maybe they know where c00lkidd went! Wait. No.. They wouldn't help him. They would ban him for sure! He will have to live out the rest of his days in prison! He can't live like that.. He's changed!  Just as his thoughts were about to escalate, the voices suddenly call out to him to get his attention. Oh great.

"Ah! Who goes there!?" exclaimed Shedletsky, slowly drawing his weapon.

"Relax, Shed. We're tryna find out if there are new survivors or not. Did ya' forget?" Builderman forces Shedletsky to put back his sword.

Meanwhile, 007n7 has their back turned towards the 2 admins, trying not to reveal his identity. This can't be happening! He refuses to go out like this! 007n7 starts trembling slightly, as the predictions for the future overwhelm him.

"...Hello? Could ya' turn around?" Builderman questions, obviously directed at him.

He doesn't need to see it, he knows that Shedletsky pulled Builderman closer, as he could hear whispering behind him.

"Builderman, do you think that the new survivor is 007n7? He just looks so.. familiar.." He murmered in the latter's ear. Builderman tilts his head slightly at the idea.

"Now that ya' mention it.." He has an unreadabe expression on his face as he steps closer, Shedletsky close behind.

"Aye. Turn around."

007n7 doesn't want to turn around. He doesnt want to face the consequences of his previous hacker life. He doesn't want to surrender so soon. Guess actions do have consequences.

He can sense a small part of him that wants to turn around.  A part of him that thinks that he would be safe. A part of him that is convinced that the banland nonsense somehow doesn't matter anymore. The feeing grows stronger. He tries to suppress it, but his efforts were futile as a majority of him now want to face the two admins that are waiting for 007n7 to reveal himself. He takes a deep breath and slowly moves his feet to now face the duo.

"Ha! I knew it was 007n7!" Cheered Shedletsky, proudly.

"Suck it up, Shed." Stated Builderman, sounding unamused.

Shedletsky giggled as Builderman walked up to 007n7. 007n7 shut his eyes, afraid of what the latter would think of him.

"Welp, seems like ya' unfortunately ended up like all of us." Builderman says.

007n7 opened his eyes, suprised.

All of us?... 007n7 thought.

Like Builderman knew what he was thinking, he responded

"If ya' wondering who 'all of us' is, they are the others that have unfortunately been 'forsakened'... Like me and Shed, and now, you. "

"Wh..Wha?.." 007n7 stuttered nervously

Builderman lets out a sigh. 007n7 could have sworn it sounded a bit... empathetic? Judging on the look in his eyes.

"C'mon. Let me go introduce ya' to the others."

007n7 blinked in confusion.

"I'm givin ya a chance since we're in literal hell, but don't get used to it. There ain't much else for us to do anyways..Besides the rounds.."

007n7 tilts his head, as he lacks information on the rounds that happen daily in this place.

"Look, I know all of this sounds..foregin, but just come with me to the main cabin. I promise I'll explain everything there. Ya' don't have to talk to anyone if ya don't want."

007n7 timidly nods as Builderman beckons to him and Shedletsky, leaving the forest.

"If you get teleported into an unfamiliar place, find us, immediatly.." Shedletsky grabs 007n7's arm, trying to get the other man's attention.

007n7, startled by the sudden contact, flinched and erratically turned his head towards the latter. Shedletsky noticed the action.

"Sheesh.. Sorry man." Shedletsky apologized, with a rueful smile and quickly let go.

"..No worries, really.." 007n7 brushed it off, his voice barely above a whisper. He pulled his arm back slightly, offering a timid smile to show that everything was alright.

"Heh.. Thanks dude...Hey! let's not keep Builderman waiting!" Shedletsky said with his usual smirk on his face and scurried in the direction Builderman traveled. 007n7 stood straight and still for a second to process what had been said, then quickly followed behind, afraid to lose sight of him.

Everyone was doing their own thing in the survivor's cabin. In the kitchen, Elliot pieced together a pizza. It was the only food left in the stripped-bare cabin, a direct result of the entity keeping them trapped here.

A few feet away in the lounge, Chance lounged casually on the couch. He chatted with Guest 1337 about seemingly random things, idly flipping his coin over and over. Despite being slightly peeved, Guest still remained attentive to Chance's words.

Just on the other side of the sofa, Two Time knelt quietly on the hardwood floor. With a fixed, manic smile and a sacrificial dagger clutched tightly in their hand, they whispered rhythmic prayers to the spawn, carving their ritual marks into the wood.

Dusekkar watched the display from the nearby benches by the stairs, his face contorted in absolute disgust. He deliberately shifted his weight to shield Taph, who was perched right next to him. Taph paid the cultist no mind, his eyes glued to the pages of a book that Dusekkar had given him to pass the time. Dusekkar considered speaking, but he ultimately remained silent, loath to disturb Taph's deep fixation on the pages.

The silence vanished as Shedletsky burst through the cabin door with erratic excitement. Every head snapped toward the entrance. Builderman filed in behind him, followed lastly by 007n7, who walked in shyly. The room fell dead silent as everyone stared. 007n7 was notorious for his past exploits. Over by the stove, Elliot stared absolute daggers at him. 007n7 shifted uncomfortably, moving quietly to partially hide himself behind Builderman to shield himself from the blistering tension. Breaking the silence, Builderman stepped forward.

"So, I'm sure y'all know who 007n7 is," he said, crossing his arms.

"Don't be too hard on em, as he's now stuck in this hellhole like the rest of us."

Even Taph broke his trance, looking up from his book to stare silently. Meanwhile, Shedletsky looked around the room at his teammates until his eyes settled on Dusekkar and Taph. He beamed happily, and Dusekkar offered a slight wave with a small, inviting smile.

Elliot silently scoffs at the introduction. Almost instantaneously, Two Time snaps their head toward him, wearing that usual creepy smile. Elliot angrily looks away. Shedletsky stays put, but his excitement shows as he slightly and quietly bounces in place. 007n7 remains frozen behind his shield. Builderman begins introducing the newcomer to everyone else, going through each name one by one to ensure he understands.

"Alright. That's Chance, Guest 1337, Two Time, Elliot, Dusekkar, and Taph," Builderman lists, pointing to each of them one by one.

007n7 nods silently while trying to study each of their faces. When Builderman points to the kitchen, 007n7 skips Elliot specifically, knowing his face all too well. As the names are called, the survivors react in their own ways.

Guest 1337 gives a small, friendly wave, though a flicker of suspicion remains in his eyes.

Right next to him, Chance maintains a completely unreadable expression, his coin finally resting still.

Builderman pauses, lowering his arm as he lists one last name.

"And Noob. He's sleepin' though... Just know he's here."

Two Time's grin widens happily as their tail wags.

"Ah. Greetings, dear hacker! We are pleased to hear that we have a new teammate! May the spawn bless you in the rounds!"

Dusekkar slightly shakes his head in disapproval. He looks away from the cultist, mumbling an incoherent, annoyed rhyme under his breath. Breaking the heavy atmosphere, Elliot pulls the hot pizza from the stove and places it on the table near the chalkboard.

"Dinner's ready!" he calls out.

The tension instantly evaporates as the survivors shuffle toward the table. Shedletsky breaks into a full-on sprint, desperately trying to snatch extra slices before anyone else can even get close. Out of sheer muscle memory, Elliot steps in and cuts off Shedletsky before he can hoard the extra slices—a routine problem they deal with far too often.

With the chaos managed, everyone files into the ten chairs split evenly across both sides of the table. On one side sat Builderman, Shedletsky, Dusekkar, Taph, and Elliot. Facing them on the other side are 007n7, Chance, Two Time, Guest 1337, and a lone, empty chair.

Seeing that vacant spot instantly reminds Elliot of their missing teammate. Realizing Noob is still asleep, Elliot leaves the table and walks away to go wake him up. Elliot steps outside into the cool air, heading toward the cluster of five smaller residential cabins where the survivors sleep in pairs. He walks into his own cabin—the one he shares with Noob—leaving the other bed completely empty.

Noob is fast asleep. Elliot leans over and shakes him lightly, but gets no response. He raises his voice, but Noob doesn't even flinch. Finally, Elliot just yells, startling Noob straight out of his peaceful slumber.

"W-what?.." Noob groggily stutters, rubbing his eyes.

"Dinner's ready, Noob," Elliot says calmly, his loud voice instantly dropping back to normal.

Meanwhile, back in the main cabin, Shedletsky waits for the perfect moment. He glances nervously left and right to see if anyone is watching him. With Builderman sitting right on his left, he carefully sneaks a few extra slices of pizza onto his plate. Across the table, the atmosphere remains quiet. Because Builderman is sitting right there, none of the survivors dare to do or say anything to 007n7, keeping the peace for now.

Builderman catches the theft but does nothing, completely exhausted by the routine. The consequences are Shedletsky's problem. Just as Shedletsky is about to eat, Elliot returns with Noob and spots the pizza hoard. He marches over to intervene.

"Shedletsky, I swear on Robloxia," Elliot threatens angrily.

"Put those slices back or you will starve. We need this for everyone, and we lack supplies!"

Intimidated by the threat, Shedletsky instantly backs down without an argument. "Fine..." he grumbles, sliding the extra food back.

Noob slides into his reserved seat, instantly tensing up as he notices the ex-hacker's presence right there at the table. Elliot sits back down in his own chair, utterly refusing to make eye contact with 007n7, as the painful memories come flooding back.

Why? Why did he have to be here?! He destroyed the pizza place! He's the reason he ended up here! Why does he have to always be stuck with him?! It's not fair.. Elliot let his furstrations consume him internally as he sat there quietly eating dinner.

With the previous argument over, everyone eats in a heavy, stifling silence. The brief distraction of dinner fades away, leaving them all to dread the terrifying round awaiting them tomorrow, except for one survivor. After dinner finishes, the heavy silence breaks as everyone scatters back to their own routines before bed. Before Builderman can walk away, 007n7 quickly pulls him aside, realizing he still hasn't explained how the rounds actually work.

"Oh. Yeah, sorry about that," Builderman says, rubbing the back of his neck.

"I might as well just tell ya' now. Every day, there are five rounds. Eight people from the group will be chosen to go, while two stay back. And... there's a killer that's chosen as well."

007n7 stiffens instantly at the mention of a killer. "W-what?.." he chokes out, panic flooding his chest. Builderman notices the sudden terror immediately.

"Uh oh... Uhh, calm down. Okay? It's gonna be okay, they don't happen until tomorrow. But when a round does start, don't pay attention to anything else. Just find me, Dusekkar, or Shedletsky. We'll help ya' out... alright?" Builderman reassures him.

007n7 nods, but his mind is completely spiraling. What does he mean killers?! There are killers?? Is someone going to die?... Am I going to die?... he fearfully thinks, his hands trembling as the harsh reality of this odd realm set it.

Sensing the newcomer's terror, Builderman decides to take 007n7 out to the residential cabins to help him get settled into the realm. The ten survivors are split evenly across five cabins: Chance and Guest 1337 share the first; Dusekkar and Taph have the second; Elliot and Noob sleep in the third; and Builderman himself shares the fourth with Shedletsky. That leaves Cabin 5.. that already has Two Time occupying it. 007n7 had to share with him.

As Builderman leads him toward the far side of the main outdoor area, 007n7 tries to reassure himself. He recalls Two Time's enthusiastic greeting from earlier. Why doesn't Dusekkar like them? They seem nice... he thinks, hoping that sharing a space with someone so welcoming might make this nightmare a little more bearable.

His optimism vanishes almost the moment he steps inside. 007n7 quickly discovers the staggering depth of Two Time's obsession, realizing his roommate is a deeply dedicated cultist with an unsettling fixation on the spawn. Watching Two Time mutter bizarre prayers in the corner of the small room, 007n7 shivers.

Oh... I see Dusekkar's point... he thinks fearfully, realizing his new roommate is far from normal.

The oppressive night finally breaks, giving way to a cold, fog-heavy morning. Inside the main cabin, the survivors fall into their tense pre-round routines.

Over in the kitchen, Elliot rummages through the bare cupboards, looking for any leftover ingredients so he can cook something to feed the team once the first round ends.

Nearby, Chance leans against the wall next to the chalkboard, the rhythmic, metallic clink of his coin flipping through the air as he blankly watches Elliot scrambling to find the ingredients for lunch later.

Beside him, Noob sits at the long table, looking completely exhausted and rubbing the sleep from his eyes.

By the stairs, Dusekkar sits quietly on the bench, keeping a protective eye on Taph, who is already deeply fixated on his book again. In the center of the room, Builderman, Shedletsky, and Guest 1337 are huddled together. Since the maps change randomly every single day, they have no way of knowing where they will end up, so they spend the morning discussing general game plans for survival.

Meanwhile, 007n7 slips into the main room, bags under his eyes after a sleepless night listening to Two Time's muted, rhythmic chanting. He tries to blend into the shadows near the entrance, his heart already hammering against his ribs.

Suddenly, the air grows freezing cold. Without warning, the world cuts out. For Guest, 007n7, Elliot, Dusekkar, Builderman, Noob, Two Time, and Taph, their vision fades entirely to black, dragging the eight chosen survivors out into the map for this round.

This round's killer is...c̶0̶0̶l̶k̶i̶d̶d̶

When the darkness lifted, 007n7 opened his eyes to the towering structures and looming walls of Glass Houses. He quickly realized he hadn't spawned anywhere near Dusekkar or Builderman. Instead, he was stuck with Noob and Two Time.

Just great... he thought bitterly.

Remembering Builderman's advice from the night before and almost immediately, 007n7 began scanning the foggy field for a blue pumpkin head or an orange hard hat, paying absolutely zero attention to the round's killer announcement. Not even sparing a thought, he sprinted around the brick-built landscape until his eyes caught a flash of bright orange. Relief washed over him. Without a second thought, he rushed forward and tapped the figure on the shoulder.

 But it wasn't Builderman.

The figure spun around, revealing the horrific, skeletal face of c00lkidd—wearing Builderman's stolen hard hat. Right beside his feet lay Builderman's lifeless body.

"Dad!!" c00lkidd exclaimed excitedly, entirely oblivious to the horror.

007n7 froze, completely overcome with terror, grief, and soul-crushing sadness. His own son was the killer. Overwhelmed with guilt, he collapsed to his knees and broke down into uncontrollable tears.

Noticing his distress, c00lkidd stepped closer and wrapped his arms around his father in a cheerful hug.

"What's wrong, papa?" he asked innocently.

007n7 was too lost in his own despair to respond. He could only weep as his brainwashed son giggled, entirely trapped under the Spectre's dark influence.

"It's okay, Papa! Orange hat man isn't dead!" c00lkidd chirped happily, treating the massacre like a harmless game of tag.

He leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a playful whisper.

"Mr. Voice told me he was just sleeping!"

007n7 couldn't bear to look his manipulated son in the eyes. He just resumed his heavy sobs. He was on the brink of hyperventilating. The father and son just stayed in that position for the whole round. 007n7 burying his head into his son's shoulder, still weeping uncontrollably, while c00lkidd just hugged him, still able to understand that at this time, 007n7 needed comfort. the timer struck down.

0:05...

0:04...

0:03...

0:02...

0:01...

The survivors win.

Once everyone's vision returned all of the round's winners appeared at the winner table. They all snapped their heads towards 007n7 who was still bawling inconsolably despite the round ending. Then, without any warning, 007n7 stood up and ran out of the main cabin to him and Two Time's shared cabin. This was his life now. This is what he has to endure for 2x2 knows how long. This is his reality. In that moment, he realized he was truly Forsakened forever.
