Work Text:

Lookout liked to smoke. Everyone who had been around him had smelt it for sure. Whether it was cigarettes, weed, or anything else he could get his hands on he would smoke it. Usually, his go-to was cigarettes, so he'd often carry them around with him wherever he went. Verity had told him smoking was bad for his health, but Lookout didn't care. Since when has his health ever mattered? Life was short anyway.. He might as well make the most of it. And his way of doing that was smoking until he couldn't anymore. Plus, they tasted good! At least to him..

Currently, he and Verity were inside of their house, Lookout leaning onto the crafting table by the door as he smoked his cigarette. "Y'know, Lookout, it's not good to smoke inside! It's a huge fire hazard, especially since most of our home is made of wood!" Verity stated, trying his best to sound cheerful as his eyes met Lookout's. For once, Verity was in his 'human' form, standing beside lookout. He had soft features, and a stupid suit and vest combo on. His hair was medium length and a faded out yellow, since Lookout liked duller colors.

Lookout rolled his eyes at Verity's words, "Pleeeease, like you haven't said that a million times already!" He said sarcastically, snickering at his own words. Verity inched closer to Lookout, sneaking up behind him and leaning down to speak in his ear. "Fair point, but you haven't listened any of the times I've told you, Lookout.. I might have to do something if you don't listen to me." Verity let out a soft sigh after his intense words. A certain softness spread onto his human-like face as he stood back up straight and wrapped his arms around Lookout's waist.

"Buuut.. I don't think I will. Only for a small, small price… It's only a little thing I wanted to try.." Verity crooned softly into his ear, noticing how he didn't really give a damn. "What's the price, Verity? Frickin' bouncer…" Lookout asked, sounding both sarcastic and exasperated at the same time. "Ohh.. It's nothing that bad, Lookout.. You just need to take your cigarette and.." Verity trailed off, not sure if he should say something so embarrassing. He's been thinking about it for weeks, but asking Lookout to try it? Ugh, just the thought of admitting he was yearning for something like this made him want to curl up and die. Too bad that he couldn't! So he would have to come out and say it.

"Spit it out already, Verity or I'm not gonna do it." Lookout grumbled as he took his cigarette out from between his lips, holding it between his fingers as he exhaled. He took another drag as he turned around and blew out all of the smoke onto Verity. Verity took a deep inhale, making direct eye contact with Lookout as he did, mumbling something. "Ahhh… My favorite.." Lookout's face scrunched up as he watched Verity inhale his smoke like it was pure air. "Bro that's hella weird.. I wasn't expecting you to do that, since y'know, you literally told me to quit smoking???" Lookout tried to joke but he was genuinely taken aback, since WHEN was Verity into that? This has to be a new thing.

Verity coughed loudly, quickly backing away from Lookout to cover his mouth. "Anyway, Lookout!-" Verity was cut off by Lookout grabbing his wrist, a burning sensation following soon after. It was Lookout's cigarette bud, being put out on his wrist. "Shut the frick up, Verity! JUST SHUT UP! I already know what you want." Lookout grumbled, trying to seem nonchalant and failing terribly. Verity was so shocked, all he could do was stare at the burn. How in the world could Lookout have guessed so correctly? He was kind of being obvious when he inhaled the smoke but that was just the smoke! Usually Lookout's always wrong and has to be corrected but.. That definitely wasn't the case today, Lookout was SO right in fact that it almost pissed Verity off. Almost.

"Oh Lookout…" Verity spoke softly as he stared down at the cigarette pressed onto his wrist. Lookout removed it, checking out the circular burn that was left behind. As any sane person would, he moved the cigarette to a different spot and pressed it down onto Verity's wrist again. Verity couldn't focus on anything besides the burns on his wrist, he wouldn't have cared much for them if Lookout hadn't been the one to put them there. It felt so special to him, even more so since Lookout did this himself, without being asked. He couldn't stop staring, craving more from Lookout. Verity's eyes eventually trailed back up to Lookout, pulling him close with one arm and reaching the other one up to cup Lookout's face.

Surprisingly, Lookout leaned in to kiss Verity first, his hand that wasn't busy pressing the cigarette onto Verity's wrist sneaking up to hold his waist. Verity melted into the kiss, feeling himself getting worked up by all of the sensations flooding his senses. The burning on his wrist, the press of Lookout's lips against his, the hand on his waist, and their bodies pressed together.. It was too much to bear. And Verity was SOAKED.. He pressed himself up more against Lookout as they kissed, his eyes closing as their tongues met. Lookout kept burning him over and over again in different spots and it just felt so good.. That was until Lookout pulled away from their kiss to breathe, his free hand reaching down to Verity's waistband. "W-wait.. Lookout— I don't have a penis-!" Verity was cut off by Lookout's quick response, "Yeah, me neither. Do you want to do this or not, Verity?" Lookout sighed as he tossed the cigarette away, it already being fully burnt out by now. "Yes, yes, yes, Lookout! More than anything.." Verity perked up quickly and Lookout proceeded to fiddle with Verity's pants, unzipping them and pulling them down a little…

Well, he was about to until EVERYONE he knew burst into his home talking about a party. When the FUCK did he agree to hosting a party???? He must've been high when he did because he had zero recollection whatsoever. "Yooo! I like what you did to the place, big L!" Mob called out to him and Twixxel scanned the room. Lookout had never moved away from someone as fast as he did then. "Let's go! Right on time!" Lookout said, trying to act as if he wasn't confused as to why EVERYONE pulled up. Including some people he didn't even know?? Lookout glanced over at Zorya and Xqree, holding their respective Verity variants. "Woah… I didn't know we had company, Lookout!" Verity called out before adding, "What is this, a cookout?" That was before Whispy burst in with armfuls of ingredients and a grill. "DID SOMEONE SAY COOKOUT??? Don't worry guys, I got us covered! Who wants a plate??" Whispy immediately started setting up the grill and the entire function was overwhelmed with negativity. "No offense, Whispy," Mob interrupted, "But maybe we should just DoorDash something ATP.." Twixxel erupted in laughter, "Mob, did you deadass just say 'ATP' IN PERSON???" Interrupted AGAIN Whispy added, "Nah bro, I got us covered! Trust me on the grill!" Mob was fuming at this point, "FUCK YOU MEAN YOU 'GOT US COVERED'??? YOUR COOKING IS SHIT!!!!!" The two argued back and forth as everyone else just kind of awkwardly stood around the house. "That person is the best chef ever.." Falsity mumbled to Xqree, (clearly lying) and the man just nodded along, looking MISERABLE.

"I hope this place burns down." Zorya mumbled to herself, not expecting Lovity to overhear, "Hey, let's not say that! This is pretty fun.. And there's going to be some food!" Right as Lovity said that to Zorya, Whispy rushed over with two plates of 'food', ready to serve them. Zorya gagged upon the sight of the sludge on the plate, "No thanks… Me and Lovity actually ate before we came." Lovity interupted, "No we didn't-" Zorya clapped a hand over her mouth and spoke again, firmer, "No, we DEFINITELY ate beforehand." Whispy still insisted on them taking the plates, "No worries, then! You can just take it to go!" Whispy let out a lighthearted chuckle before dashing away to go put the sludge into a container. Where did he even get those? No one knew, but everyone was praying that Whispy's sludge was poisonous so that this could be over already.

Whispy's cooking might've been the worst thing at this 'gathering' but at least the conversations were bareable. Now, over with FroggyDudeMC and Grox… "Ayo chill, Froggy! Stop eating that slop!" Grox demanded as he watched his fiance devour Whispy's waste plate after plate. "I LOVE THE PAIN! I CAN'T STOP EATING IT, GROX!" FroggyDudeMC growled as he scarfed down the slop, "Nah, you've left me no choice!" Grox pulls out his gun and the whole room erupts into panicked yells telling him to put it down. Twixxel yells, "CREATOR MAKE HIM STOP!!" Creator snapped his fingers and Grox's gun was gone in the blink of an eye. "Don't yell…" Creator's raspy voice rang out in Twixxel's head before he was gone and Grox exclaimed loudly. "Nah, where's my gun???? Damn.." Grox simmered down quick and FroggyDudeMC even stopped eating the 'food'. "Aw man, I'm sorry Grox." The two embraced and started aggressively making out in the middle of Lookout's house. Everyone kicked them out.

"Twixxel, I'm going to be completely honest with you… There's something SERIOUSLY wrong with Whispy's cooking bro." Mob grumbled as he poked at a solid piece of… meat? Wait a second, was that an ender pearl? "NO BRO, WHAT IS THIS BULLSHIT ON MY PLATE????? TWIXXEL, LOOK AT THIS." Mob practically shoved the plate into Twixxel's face and he passed out on the spot from the stench, his limp body hitting the floor with a loud thud. "Ouuu shi." Mob said as he crouched down and poked Twixxel. "You good bro?" He questioned as he kept poking at him. That was until Verity chimed in, "He's not going to respond, he's out cold!" Lookout was in the corner, greened out and wondering what could possibly be happening. Verity approached Lookout with his usual smile, "Heyyy, Lookout! Having fun?" He asked, trying to sound sarcastic but failing miserably. Lookout refused to respond and just blinked at Verity for a moment. "Are we still up for later?" Verity asked suddenly and Lookout let out a loud sigh, "Of course we are.. Wait, Verity, do you smell something?" Lookout took his blunt out of his mouth for a second and sniffed around, smelling a different smoke from his. "What do you mean, Lookout? I only smell you.." Verity said lowly before his chin was grabbed by Lookout and directed to the fire in the middle of their home. "Oh! Maybe Whispy shouldn't be grilling inside! I did tell you about fire hazards, didn't I?" Everyone had to evacuate Lookout's house. They were now outside, forced to look at the burnt scraps and the grill sitting in the middle of the wreckage. "Damn bro, good luck rebuilding." Mob said as he patted Lookout on the shoulder, "Anyway guys, I think it's time for us to go home!" Whispy said cheerfully, a little too much for the person who contributed to mass food poisoning and the burning down of the house. "Isn't there still someone inside?" Lovity whispered to Zorya and she shrugged. "WAIT, TWIXXEL?" Mob came to a realization as he hussed back into the ruins of the house, only to be met with nothing. "Damn, looks like the big C already got him." Mob said as he calmly walked out, the house exploding behind him the second he stepped out. "Wow! He looks so tough and cool!" Falsity exclaimed, everyone knew he was lying. "BALLLRIGHT, let's just go home bro." Mob said, as everyone went their separate ways. Nobody said it, but everyone was thinking it. Man, this function was shit.
