Chapter Text
it was a hot sunny day, school just started again after summer break. till hated school but was excited to see mizi, a girl who he took an interest in. as till walked through the halls with his headphones in listening to pierce the veil, he looked around searching for her. all he could find though was unfamiliar faces. it was his senior year which meant he could be a little laid back. he decided to skip 6th hour and go to his schools library instead to find a book he’s been meaning to read. when he got there, he meet a girl with short black hair. he was trying to reach for a book that was behind her which made them both awkward.
“oh! sorry, i’ll move out of your way.” the girl said shyly and stepped to the side. till smiled awkwardly and grabbed the book. he noticed the girls background picture on her phone was a picture of her and mizi.
“d-do you um.. are you friends with.. uhh mizi?” till asked. the girl looked at him pretty shocked.
“you know her?”
till shakes his head shyly.
“but she seems nice and i’d like to maybe um talk to her..?”
the girl smiles at him
“well she’s my best friend and she’s cheering at the football game tonight, so if you’d like to see her… come!”
with that the girl grabs a book and leaves, leaving till alone. ‘should i?’ he thought. he walks out of the school to his car wondering if he should go tonight to catch a glimpse of mizi.
-later that day-
it’s now 6pm. there’s a game at 6:30pm, till is in his room debating whether or not he should go to the football game. he has no interest in football, or any sport for that matter. it’s all a hassle for him but if it’s to see mizi, maybe he’ll go watch a game. he finally gets out of his bed and grabs his jacket walking out of the front door. he turns on his car and heads towards the school. once he gets there he sees tons and tons of people. he stands there awkwardly outside of his car thinking maybe he should go back when he sees her, mizi. she’s carrying a bag of pom poms to the track so her and her team can use them. his heart skips a beat and he sighs making his way to the ticket booth. he buys his ticket and heads towards the bleachers, he’s scared and anxious on where’s he’s gonna sit and who he’s gonna sit next to. he then see the girl from the library. she spots him and waves her hand. he smiles awkwardly and goes to sit next to her.
“hi! i realized i never introduced myself earlier, my names sua! i’ve never seen you around school, are you new?” she yells so he can hear her over the screaming and yelling of the crowd.
“oh uhh.. no.. i’m just like.. you know.. unpopular? i don’t really like people, they piss me off. my names till though..”
he says scratching the back of his neck.
“well till, it’s nice to meet you! if you came for mizi, she’s right there cheering already!”
sua points at the track where the cheer team are already doing a cheer to get the crowd pumping. that’s when he sees her again, cheering, swaying those pom poms so pretty.
“don’t stare too much, she’s mine.”
sua says snapping him out of it.”
“uh- i mean- she’s my best friend you know? heh.. oh look, its starting!”
she points again, this time at the field where the football players are running on to it.
“there’s my brother! you see him? he’s number 13!”
till searched for a #13 player and spots him. a small grin appears on his face.
“you guys look alike.” he says.
