Chapter Text
The sounds of banging, minutes questioning and the feeling of water as he tried to swim away was already making spoke extremely uncomfortable.
Spoke felt like he was drowning to say the least, not from the lack of air or water surrounding him, tho it was a factor, but from thoughts in his head.
They seemed to be louder than everything going on around him. Though his thoughts and minutes questions seemed to be mixing together into a blur of words. It was still awfully headache inducing.
Spoke doesn’t even know what he’s thinking about, all he knows is that whatever it’s about is making tears stream down his face.
All it took was sharp sword swing from the back to snap spoke out of his stream of thoughts.
“SPOKE, are you even listening to what I’m saying to you?” spoke sighs a already knowing hes got a lot of explaining to do. Tho when was Spoke the type of person to awnser questions…
“Spoke? Hello, why are you doing this? You’re killing innocent players.” Minutes voice cuts through spokes thoughts yet again.
Spoke freezes as soon as he gets onto solid land Turing around to look at MinuteTech.
“Why am I doing this? WHY AM I DOING THIS?” Tears now openly running down spokes face, he quickly brings his hand up whipping them away before talking again. “Minute, don’t you see what happens to me every time someone is more powerful? They use me, they hurt me, they trap-“
“Spoke powerful players do that to all sorts of players! You’re no different.” Minute states cutting Spoke off. Spoke stares at Minute, before letting his knees buckle, as he starts doing something only able to be explained as a mix of crying and laughing.
“No different? did you just say I’m no different than any normal player? YOUR JOKING RIGHT, right?” Minute just stands there letting spoke continue talking.
“I am one of the only players that has been affected by almost every civilization this server has ha-“
A loud boom from the withers cut him off as it almost hits him making him move.
“From the fucking Zam empire to null, do you know what that does to someone?
I do. Because it happed to me.”
Spoke catches his breath while Minute begins to speak again.
“Just because it happened to you, doesn’t mean you need to hurt others because of it.” Minute sighs putting his hand on spokes shoulder making sure he’s looking at him.
“No matter how cruel someone was to you. It doesn’t give you the right to hurt innocent players-“
“no one’s innocent.”
“What?”
“Minute nobody is innocent, no matter how much you want to believe it. If you put them in a certain situation they will change. This is an anarchy server for Fucks sake!”
Spoke started walking around minute like a predator circling its pray.
“I’ve changed Minute. They changed me… they locked me up like a fucking dog all because I wanted my friends back.” By the end of the sentence Spoke began to stutter and cry again.
“Who are ‘they’?” Minute questions.
“The people who were stronger, they people who had more power!” Spoke stutters out gesturing his hands around in a circle motion.
“Thats not an answer to my question spoke. Who are ‘they’?”
“Jamato, null, Ashswag, the MAFIA holy shit I could keep going on and on about the people who changed the way I look at the world!” Spoke brings his hands up pulling on his own hair.
“Jamato took my friends had them betray me. AND THEN MADE ME CHOOSE BETWEEN THEM AND FREDOOM!”
Minutes eyes widened “what do you mean choose between them and freedom..? Spoke, what. did. you. do”
“If you couldn’t tell Minute. I chose to be free, I spent months there thinking I wouldn’t see the overworld again, months thinking I had nothing to live fo—“
Spoke stops talking as he realizes that Minute was now hugging his shaking body. Spoke tried (he really did) to not start crying again, though to no avail.
“I’m sorry I hurt you during the mafia, I’m also sorry I wasn’t able to help you during whatever happened with null. But please stop hurting other players. Because that is what is going to lead you to your downfall.”
As minute finishes taking he squeeze Spoke letting the boy cry into his arms like when he was a young voidling.
They were going to have a long talk about this, But he would let his child calm down this is most likely the safest his poor boy has felt in the last few weeks maybe even months.
