Night Out

Summary:

Aftermath of the gang going out drinking.

Notes:

I'm not sure whether to put this in the Polycule-Verse or not, but honestly it could be read either way.

Chapter 1: Go To Bed

Chapter Text

Astra knew that she'd be the designated adult for this outing, but she hadn't expected her friends to get hammered this quickly. Other than Vasilia, she was a lightweight. That had surprised her the first time, but after that she knew what she was in for. Other than Tayrun though, the others had no idea she'd be this rowdy. Astra felt kinda bad for them, but it was also really funny!

“You doing ok over there baby?” Astra called to her girlfriend, who was currently trying to keep Vasilia from pushing all their cups off the table and smashing them on the floor.

“Yeah, I'm alright,” Torri sighed. Her efforts so far had been mostly successful.

“Mkay, just let me know if you want to switch,” Astra giggled. Her current job was easy. Mara was a lightweight too, and she was currently very sleepy. Astra just had to be a pillow.

“Wait, that's an option!? Yes, please switch with me!” Torri nearly begged.

“Alright, come over here first though, I really don't wanna wake her up,” Astra agreed. Torri nodded, put Heath on babysitter duty, and came over to Astra. Before she could make it though, Karla intercepted her,

“Hey Torreli, do you think you can send me and Tayrun home?” She asked as innocently as she could. It had been decided that no one would walk home that night, even if they lived in the dimension they were currently in (T-905), because it wouldn't really be safe. So either Torri, who couldn't be poisoned and thus wouldn't be affected by the beer, or Astra, whose liver must have been made from steel with how much she'd abused it, would send the others home.

“Oh, yeah sure,” Torri responded. She opened a portal for them right outside of Tayrun's house.

“Thanks!” Kayla called over her shoulder, as she pulled a heavily blushing Tayrun through the door. With that sorted, Torri came over and took Mara from her girlfriend. Astra cooed at how cute Mara looked curled up on Torri's lap.

“Why haven't we sent her home?” Torri asked. She wasn't complaining about the easy job, but it seemed unnecessary.

“I didn't want to leave you alone. This is your first time out drinking with a big group, and I'm better at dealing with the drunks, so I wasn't abandoning you,” Astra pouted in a way Torri thought was adorable,

“Besides, I'm not sure she'd stay asleep if someone wasn't holding her.” Astra added.

“Aww, thanks babe. In that case, I might want to take her back to our house. I don't like to be alone in the mornings, and it looks like Vasilia might need a chaperone all night.” Torri gave her an apologetic smile. Astra nodded,

“That's probably a good idea, actually…” she trailed off, looking around. Other than Mara, there were only 4 drunk toddlers left. Well, 3 and a very angry and slightly tipsy Dresden. He hadn't wanted to come in the first place, but Harold absolutely did. Astra had threatened him that if he didn't come, she would just break in and let Harold come drinking with them anyway, and there was no way Dresden was leaving one of his patients to her devices.

Alexis was living his dream. She'd said something about her body being a temple and not poisoning it with alcohol, but Astra knew it was all bullshit with how many drinks the two had shared. She was pretty sure it was actually because she didn't want to watch over half of her friends being aggressively joined at the lips.

Unsurprisingly, the couples had all gone home together already. In fact, so had Skinner and Archie, which she would tease them mercilessly about come morning. They had actually been the first to go home together, which Astra assumed meant that the two of them had been waiting a while to do that. They just needed a little push from liquid courage first. She'd even got a picture of the two of them while they were lip locked, which would make for lovely blackmail in the future. Astra finished surveying the situation and turned back to Torreli,

“I think if you wanted to, you could take her now. Drezy will take care of Harold, and I've dealt with drunk Vasilia many times. That'll just leave Heath and he's a sweetheart. Even if he's not when he's drunk, he can't be worse than my mother.” Astra flashed her a grin. Torri considered it for a moment,

“Alright, but you'll call me in the morning right?” She looked up, her eyes pleading.

“First thing when I get up,” Astra assured her. The look of relief in Torri's face was so beautiful she had to kiss it. So she did. When Astra pulled back, she bid her wonderful girlfriend adieu as Torri walked through the portal back home.

“Alright Drezy, you can go home.” Astra released him.

“Finally!” He muttered. Astra could tell he had enjoyed himself though. He got up and gestured for Harold to follow him,

“Come on Harold,” Dresden commanded.

“Oh alright,” Harold mock protested. He ran up and threw his arms around Astra before following Drezy through the portal she'd opened. Astra waved goodbye to them, then turned to deal with Vasilia.

She walked over to find Vasilia aggressively flirting with Heath. That in itself wasn't at all surprising, what was is the fact that Heath seemed to be into it. Oh no. There was no way Astra was letting them make that mistake.

“Hey V, behaving yourself?” she asked, walking up behind them and finishing Vasilia's drink.

“Why, you gonna punish me if I'm not?” Vasilia bit her lip in anticipation. Astra rolled her eyes, an offer like that would usually be tempting, but she didn't sleep with drunk people.

“I might, but not in a way you'd like,” Astra taunted her. Vasilia looked like she was going to take that as a challenge. Luckily though, a server came by to collect the cups they were done using. That distracted Vasilia and saved Astra from a fight.

“Oh, hai! You're preeetty,” Vasilia breathed. The server blushed,

“Thank you, you're very drunk,” she replied. Astra laughed,

“That she is, we're done with all this, so you can take it all, thanks.” She handed the server the payment and that was that. Though, Vasilia's tone did give her an idea. She whipped out her phone again, how she got it to work in T-905 no one had to know, and turned to Vasilia,

“Hey V, can you say ‘I am not a possum’ for me?” Astra prompted. Vasilia blinked in confusion,

“I am not a possum!” she emphatically insisted, in what she did not know was a perfect impression. Astra pursed her lips to keep herself from laughing,

“That was perfect.”

“Do I get a reward?” Vasilia shot back immediately.

“You wanna kiss,” Astra said more than asked. Vasilia nodded excitedly. Astra grabbed the sides of her face, and kissed her in the forehead. Vasilia made an unhappy noise and Astra smirked,

“If I give you this will you go to bed?”

“What does it do?” Vasilia tilted her head in confusion. Astra turned it on and it started silently vibrating. Vasilia gasped and snatched it out of her hand. Astra opened a portal back to her room and Vasilia ran through it. Astra giggled at her reaction, then she turned to Heath,

“You ready to go?” She asked him. Heath just silently nodded. Astra gave him a single nod in return and opened a portal back to the Sharp Tank. To her relief, Heath just followed her through it. When the portal closed, he still hadn't moved.

“You feeling ok?” Astra asked, a little worried. Another nod answered her.

“Did you want some water?” Astra pressed. Heath shook his head this time.

“Are you tired?” She continued her impromptu interrogation. He nodded again, but made no move toward his room. Astra smiled at him,

“Then let's get you to bed, okay?” She held out her hand to him. He looked at it for a second, before grasping it tightly in his own. Heath made no protest as she led him to his room. When they got there, Astra assumed he would open the door, but he didn't. So, she opened it for him.

“Here we are?” Astra announced. Heath just stared at the open doorway for a minute. Was he ok? What was going on? Astra shifted slightly, and Heath's grip on her hand tightened tenfold.

“Are you leaving?” He demanded. Astra looked up at him in shock. She wasn't expecting him to be so aggressive. Up until that point he'd been so passive he hadn't even said anything.

“I don't need to. It's not like I have anywhere I need to be.” Astra joked. It was true though, since Torri wasn't expecting her back tonight.

“Please don't leave me! I, I don't wanna be alone,” Heath pleaded, looking to be on the verge of tears.

“Hey, it's ok, I'm not going anywhere.” Astra assured him. She finally figured out what was going on, he was a clingy drunk.

“You promise?” Heath asked, eyes shining. Astra hid her smirk, they really were drunk toddlers weren't they?

“I promise.” Astra swore. Then, she squeaked in surprise as Heath picked her up and pulled her into a hug. He carried her inside, closing the door with his foot as to not stop holding her. Astra hugged him back. Tonight was certainly going to be interesting.

Notes:

Should I show more clingy Heath, or just skip to the next morning where everyone is hung over?
