Dying Alone ( TPOT AU )

Summary:

A universe where recovery isn't possible; stuff is bound to happen. When Three was killed, One was locked away for 14 years. 14 years of nothing. Nothing, until the 11th of September, 2023, when she was freed by her own hand. Now that she's out, she has zero want for redemption or change, she wants everyone dead.

Chapter 1: Rehabilitation

Chapter Text

Victim: Three Integer

03/03/91 - 17/10/09

Cause Of Death: Murder

Witnesses: X, Four, Nine, Five, Seven, Six, Eight, Ten, and possibly Two Integer.

Algebralien responsible: One Integer

One Integer & Three Integer got into a fight regarding the yoylelite rock. From what we collected of the argument, One showed Three the location of the meteorite hoping to create a bond, & felt betrayed when Three told everyone else. The source of Three's death is... Undefined.? We're unsure on how it happened. We don't believe that One intended on killing Three, but she didn't show any signs of remorse for her death. We've all decided that One needs to be isolated. For now, she's been locked away in the moon while we wait to decide a time to let her out.

May Three rest in peace.

Years.

It'd been years since One was locked away. How many? 5? 10? You lose track of these things when you have no way of telling the time. She hasn't seen the sun since the morning before Three died.

The sharp, dusty rock floor was the only thing that had supported her over the past few years. The only thing that kept her entertained was her powers. The only one talking to her was herself, and it was all bullshit.

Okay, whatever, what she did was wrong, she admitted it! But it'd been fucking YEARS.

YEARS of silence, isolation, darkness, sleeping on a sharp & rocky floor, Surely she didn't deserve this.

One twitched. She wanted out. It'd been long enough. Her anger boiled up in her chest higher and higher every waking minute. Would they ever let her out? What if she died in there? Maybe if she did, they'd realise what they did. They would open the moon, hoping to find a new One, but instead find her dead body. Then they'd realise what torture they brought upon her. Then they would feel guilty for what they had done.

Or maybe they would celebrate.

That thought irked One. They all deserved to feel guilt, not her! They all deserve to pay. They should be in this moon. They should all be dead.

One sat on the same rock floor that she'd been sitting on for the past decade. The sharp stone dug into her feet. It wasn't comfortable at all, but you get used to it after a while.

She drew faces into the rock of the floor using a sharp stone she had stepped on before. She was quite good at drawing if she had to say so herself, it's not like she had better stuff to do. As she carved the eyelashes in, she was cut off from her thoughts by a loud rumbling from further away. It sounded like.. thunder? Was there a storm outside?

One stood up from the ground and layed her ear on the wall of the moon, hoping that it'd be easier to hear properly. Before she could come up with a source of the noise, the ground beneath her began to violently shake, a rumbling noise bouncing off the walls, practically screaming.

"ACK-!" One screamed as she was thrown off her feet, her shoulder digging into the ground. She covered her ears and shut her eyes, trying to dull the sound out. The echoing seemed to last forever.

Eventually the shaking stopped, and the noise quieted down. Her ears continued to ring loudly, and her shoulder throbbed as the stone dug into her skin. "Ugh, what..?-” One groaned as she pushed herself off her side and opened her eyes.

She immediately stopped as she looked before her.

Light. There was light.

Not light from her powers, real, natural lighting seeped into the moon from a crack in the wall. It took a moment for her eyes to adjust, and for her to process what was before her, but it was real. Sunlight. Sunlight for the first time.

"Yes, YES!! PLEASE!" One squealed, grinning from ear to ear, and before she knew it, she threw her hands foreward, throwing anything that her fingers could touch. For hours & hours, she didn't stop digging her way out. Not even when she grew tired, not even when her fingertips began to bleed. The crack grew & grew, and the light began to flood the room. She could finally see the colour of her skin clearly. After hours of digging with no end, the light turned pink. Then orange. Then a deep blue. She still, would not stop.

Blood had started to trickle down her hands, and sweat beaded from her forehead. She kept smiling. Throwing. And after hours of the same thing over & over again, her hand fell through. Finally, reached through. She reached outside, and weakly pushed her way through, stabbing her feet on the broken rock on the wall. But she made it.

She was free. She was finally fucking free.

And they were all going to pay.
