Work Text:
Dear ___,
First of all, happy birthday! You’ve reached a new level in your journey of life. And I’m so glad I have the honor to celebrate it with you. Even though it feels like just yesterday we were playing in the playground at recess. And every time I see you, I think of all the fun times we’ve had together, birthdays, field trips together, just hanging out. I’m so glad we’ve been friends for so long! I know I can be annoying sometimes and I really try not to, but you still put up with me and that makes me so joyous. I hope this birthday and the ones to come are always your favorite days. And that you will always have fun and make the best of every situation, and I know you can cuz your so darn smart. Anyways, I should probably make a silly fic for you so this doesn't get too sentimental.
Once upon a time, there was a very pretty girl. She was the smartest out of everyone, and in the town of losers she shined brighter than them all. When suddenly there was a group of scientists who didn't like the fact that she was so exceptional so they tried to dull her shine. They called her names, told her she wasn't bright. They made her work so hard with no reward. They made her feel like she didn't matter. But then she broke free from their horrible comments, their harsh work and words. She listened to them no more and gained her shine back. Coming back ten times brighter than before. She learned that she didn't have to suffer from others' judgement, and that no one is in control of her except for herself. And once she learns that, she shined brighter than the brightest star, and was as beautiful as mother nature herself. The end.
Do you like my story? Because it was based off someone specific I know. Well I know you are pretty smart so I think you know what the theme of the story is, but I just want you to know, Never let anyone tell you your dumb, or ugly, or you don't matter. Because they're all wrong. And you are magnificent. Happy birthday bro, I hope its a good one.
4ever and always, -C
