Chapter Text
Seiji could taste a sickeningly sweet… something on his tongue. It was late, judging the fact that Nicholas, who barely cared about his sleep schedule, was passed out.
He opened his mouth and pulled out what looked like a…
…flower petal on his lips?
That wasn’t good. That wasn’t good at all. He muttered some French choice words under his breath, and went to the bathroom. Sure enough, when he clicked on the light, it was a flower petal. It looked like a marigold.
He had taken a botany class while in France, and they had went over meanings inside flowers. Marigolds could mean passion, and life, or they could mean jealousy and grief. It was two-sided.
And there was one other thing any sort of flower could mean when it was inside your heart.
You were in love.
And those four words meant that you were going to live, or you would be just another grave-marked body in a sea of heartbroken victims.
