Purple groaned as their body it the hard floor. Even though their whole body was sore they got up, quickly grabbing the makeshift gun and Red.
“You can’t hide from me~!” Green.. or rather the alien posing as Green, sang.
The captain sat up, their whole body aching. They quickly notice the gun, and the fact it was broken. Red grabs it from Purple, pumping the trigger to no avail, “C’mon, c’mon!” They say hopelessly.
Purple looks at the gun, “Keep pumping it up,” they commanded, even though it seemed pointless.
“But it won’t shoot!”
“Just trust me,” Purple says, looking Red in the visor. Red swallowed the lump in their throat, nodding. God please work.. please..
Purple stepped out from behind the bin, “Whats wrong? Scared cause your babies aren’t around anymore?” They called out to the alien.
Green tossed around more bins, yelling back, “Hey, shut up!”. Red continued to pump at the gun uselessly. The sound of Green’s massive body sliding around grew closer.
“Atleast you’re a better alien than you were a janitor!” Purple says harshly, trying to sound strong when they were scared for their life.
Green then grabs then bin Purple and Red were hiding behind, “I was an unpaid intern!”. Green grabbed Purple with a trendril, swooping them off the ground. Red looked up, visor widening.
“Purps!!” They call out, standing up, but quickly dropping. Their body was so weak it was pathetic. Red pushed themselves back up, legs burning from the pain, “Put them down!!” Red yelled, watching as Purple helplessly squirmed.
Green looked at Purple, “I think I’ve had enough of you being such a smartass,” Green hummed.
The security guard continued to writhe, refusing to give up. They felt their visor get watery at the idea of dying. “Let go of me!!” They yelled, their voice cracking. Green tightened their grip, letting out a laugh.
“Awh jee Purps, you really think you can get out of this one?” They say cockily, “You know you’re smarter than that,”. Green squeezed Purple tighter.
Purple couldn’t help but let tears begin to fall onto their fur. Their body was already aching from beind tossed around, but they added pain of being squeezed made it all 10x worse. Purple screamed out of pure pain, their heart beating out of their chest. They could feel their bones being squished together with their organs uncomfortably.
“STOP!!” Red yelled, as if it’d do anything. They watched helplessly as Purple cried in pain. The gun sat uselessly on the floor.
Green couldn’t help but grin, they were going to win. “Any last words, Purps?” Green said out of pity.
Purple gasped for air, “F—Fuck,” they coughed, “You..!!” They choke out.
….
It was quick then. Purple screamed out before being eerily quiet.
All Red could do was stand there in shock. Green tossed Purple to the floor, “Well that was a lot less dramatic than I was hoping, don’t you think so captain?” Green said, though the words were just noise to Red.
Red ran to Purple, ignoring the aching in their body. Red dropped to Purple, who layed on the floor. Unmoving.
‘The abduction has already begun,’
“Purps..?” Red whispered.
Purple didn’t reply.
‘All around you we’ve infected someone you love.’
Red’s visor swelled with tears, “P-Purps-“ they choked out, shaking Purple’s limp body. “Purple s-say something!” Red yelled as if that would make Purple better. They held Purple in their arms, one hand supporting their head, the other on Purple’s back. They were so cold.
‘Initiate the start of an alien war,’
The captain wasn’t sure, but they thought they heard Green talk, but it all was static anyway. All Red could hear was their own helpless cries and their rapid breathing. “I’m so sorry Purple, I failed you,” Red says, holding on to the lifeless body as hard as they could. Red continued to sob before noticing the dark shadow that casted over them.
‘We’ve already won.’
Through a blurry visor, Red looked up. Being met with the terrifying fate of Green about to swallow them whole.
‘Give into what you cannot fight.’
Instead of running, Red just sat there, holding Purple.
“I love you Purps..”
Then everything went dark.
