Work Text:
Riddle— This is his first year as a drum major after marching flute last year. He always has tempo perfect and is very picky with the freshman’s marching. He is in the top band for concert season playing flute first chair
Cater— His second year of being the flute section leader and third year marching. All the flutes love him cause he’s really laid back but knows when it’s time to lock in. He is in first band second chair. His only problem is he tends to get ahead a little
Trey— He marches Bass clarinet and is his their year of marching. He is very popular in section for the snack bags he gives after games and shows. He is in first band 2nd chair. He often tends to put the freshmen’s performance be for his which makes him ignore his own spot sometimes
Ace— First year marching on trombone. His forwards marching are amazing but he struggles with backwards marching and not bouncing his horn. He has gotten in trouble for complaining about how long practices and just being a whiny bitch tbh. He is in 3rd band 4th chair
Deuse— First year marching on clarinet. He had amazing marching and is good at keeping on time but his playing definitely needs work. He is in 3rd band 8th chair. He is in private lessons and tries his hardest to play the best he can
Leona— His second year as tuba section leader and marching he failed his freshman year so they didn’t let him march. During practices he’s sloppy and lazy but locks in when it’s time to perform. His marching is always in time and plays good too. 1st band 3rd chair
Ruggie— His second year on drum line. He is very good at upbeat tempos and fast step moving. He struggles with rushing with slow tempos and slow marching. He is in 2nd band 1st chair. Plays slap sticks when they play sleigh ride Jack— First year marching on trumpet. He’s amazing at keeping his horn angles perfect. He tends to stumble when doing slides or backwards marching. He is in 3rd band 5th chair
Azul— His second year marching on Mellophone and first year as the section leader. He tends to ignore any advice anyone gives him and takes it personally when he get corrected. Every year he’s marched he has had a solo with him being the best Frenchhorn and mellophone. He is in 1st band 1st chair
Floyd— His second year matching tuba. And boy does this man love his tuba. He’s always cackling and smiling when he’s marching. He also takes his tuba home EVERYDAY to practice. He’s perfect much the perfect marcher. But Riddle scolds him for goofing around (Leona don’t care lol). In his freshman year he shoved Riddle into his tuba. He is in 1st band 3rd chair
Jade— His second year on alto saxophone. Him and Floyd aren’t aloud to have there instruments next to each others because last year they git his Saxophone stuff in Floyd’s tuba before a comp. He focuses most of his efforts into his playing which cause his marching to suffer a bit. He is in 1st band 2nd chair
Kalim— His second year of marching the trombone And first year of being a section leader. His section loves him cause he’s Lwk that guy. He always compliments everyone and takes quality time to help people who might be struggling. He also drops his trombone..a lot. He’s dropped it on the field during the show before. But he is a very strong marcher. He is in 2nd band 1st chair
Jamil— His first year marching euphonium. His freshman year he did color guard and damn he was good. He thought color guard was too easy and heated to try something new. He is also on the school dance team in the off season. He is amazing on visuals. Like gets it on the first try. His music skills are top notch as well. He does struggle with keeping his toes up since he’s still used to color guard. He is in 1st band 2nd chair
Vil— His second year as the Color guard captain and 3rd year in color guard. In the off seasons he does theater and chore. Unlike some people he’s never hit anyone with his flag. He’s on rifle this year and took to it amazingly. His section say his expectations are harsh but he is dedicated to making the color guard as best as possible. He is in top chore and top theater
Rook— His 3rd year on tenor saxophone and first year a section leader. His marching is amazing, some people say he looks like he’s gliding through on the field or like he’s hunting something(wink wink). He lets himself take it down a notch on his appearance in the season like letting himself get tan. But once the season is over it’s right back to skincare. He is in 1st band 1st chair.
Epel— His first year marching trumpet. He gets really upset when he doesn’t get the steps right or messes up on the music. One time he got so upset he tried to snap his trumpet in half (his skinny ahh arms could never). He really does try his best at the end of the day. He is in 3rd band 4th chair
Idia— His 3rd year on front ensemble. They flip around a lot but he like synthesizer the best as well as xylophones. He honestly hates band so much but is oddly good at it. He only stays cause ortho makes him. He complains about the heat all the time to the point multiple people told him to shut up. He plays bassoon in concert band and is in 1st band and he’s the only bassoon
Ortho— Although Ortho would love to march he can’t so he’s with Idia in front ensemble. He plays percussion in normal band. He is in 1st band
Malleus— His first year as a drum major after marching trumpet along side being the section leader. The freshman are scared of him because he has a habit of walking around the field with his hands behind his back with a blank face watching everyone creepy..he just wants to make sure everyone is in time. He plays trumpet in concert band and is first chair in 1st band
Sebek— His first year marching euphonium. He gets very cocky which causes him to mess up when things are easy. He also has beef with the Flute section cause he tried to play flute and failed miserably. He is in 3rd band 6th chair
Lilia— His 3rd year marching clarinet and 2nd year as a drum major. His section hates the nasty ass candy he gives them but they all deal with it. He’s a very good leader almost like a general (wink wink). He is a very fast and precise marcher and takes time to practice each step like 40 times. He is in 1st band 1st chair
Silver— His 2nd year marching mellophone. He always has an alternate because he’s very unreliable. His freshman year he slept through a comp and they were pissed cause he was in the front and made it look weird. He is in 2nd band 4th chair
Alll righty the next chapter will start from summer band camp and go on
