Chapter Text

KORE sat connected to a computer, being scraped for all the data it held. The bot was active and running during what the Inpherno called “The Divine Requiem” and historians around all wanted the critical data off the memory banks of KORE.

“HELLO.” KORE would chirp, fully activated as the unnamed group of Inphernals tried to break into Subspace's insane code lock.

One by one, files poured into the computer, almost crashing it as KORE dumped all of its memory bank into it. “Jackpot! We got it! Now what did this thing see…” an Inphernal piped up, highfiving another as the files kept going onto the computer.

Images of explosions, recordings of long Subspace tirades, partially corrupted video footage of the destroyed Crossroads… A dark shadow forms over the taller Inphernal’s face, covering the smallest’s eyes.

“... The Divine Requiem was really awful… We shouldn't keep these.” The taller says in a hushed tone.

“And disobey Ghostwalker? We follow him for a reason! Come on, it's not that bad!” The other says, hands on their hips.

“Record, this is just warfare! This ain't what Ghostwalker would want from us!”

“Oh, so what, Haunter?!”

“I don't want Ivory to see this!” Haunter turns to face Record while the computer screen fills even more with files.

Record snarls, slashing at Haunter. Ivory shrieks, the trio of Inphernals phighting each other…. Just like “The Divine Requiem”, doomed to repeat when there's too many power players.

KORE recorded this too, backing it up to the computer it was hooked to.

Not the first, or the last, the bot would see phighting close up.
