I Wanna Be With You And Waste My Time

Work Text:

Parker was making soup for Jude when he heard a commotion from his bedroom. The other had gotten terribly sick after spending multiple hours straight building and repairing traps even after signs of fatigue started to form. He had found him after hours of searching passed out within an escape tunnel Parker was glad to know about. He carried him to their base and set him on his bed before going out and making soup.

He looked up from the pot to see the door open and a short purple figure heavily lean on it. Changing the heat to a tiny, slow flame he moved over to the bunny hybrid. The purple ears snapped to rest on the back of his head as Parker's footsteps registered. He seemed to straighten his posture to address him properly although his face was still buried in one hand.

"You okay?" Parker asked quietly knowing that the other would pick up the sound because of his enhanced hearing. He was close enough to wrap a hand around his shoulders, trying to lead him back to bed.

Jude hummed noncommittally, leaning his full weight onto the other and hiding his head in the enderman's hoodie. Parker noticed while looking down that his eyes had closed and his nose shifted as he sniffed.

His lips quirked up at the sight. How could he not? It was too adorable the way his fingers grasped onto fabric, fluffy ears folding on his head as his body relaxed.

The moment was abruptly stopped when Jude started slipping towards the floor seemingly falling asleep. He fumbled to catch him with a yelp, hands flailing. Even after he managed to snag him from giving the floor a kiss, he struggled to hold him up as the position was mildly awkward. He was holding the other by his armpits, legs hanging idly and brushing the floor. He rushed over to the bed and gently put him down.

The bunny hybrid curled up, the blanket next to him clutched by his grasp and brought close to his chest. A sigh escaped him, his head lolling to the side to get more comfortable before finally settling.

Instead of hovering and admiring the cute sight — like he wanted to do, badly — he reluctantly returned to the stove and finished making the soup. Quickly, he came back with a bowl and softly shook Jude's shoulders to eat.

The other had gladly — for Parker's liking — done so and ate the whole thing. The action was done in silence filled with the occasional sound of munching or a breath sucked in too loudly. Parker sat off to the side on a chair that Jude made specifically for him. The seat was high so he could comfortably keep his legs straight but it also had an arm set. Just how he liked it. He leaned one arm on the side, watching as Jude finished eating before sinking back into bed again.

As the enderman was about to go to put the dish into the sink he was stopped by a strangely-strong grip on his wrist pulling him backwards. He looked back to see Jude leaning on one elbow, the other hand reached out. The sour expression twisted his face, lids half open as if the light had personally offended him.

"I'm just gonna put the bowl in the sink-" he reassured, pointing at the door before he was interrupted.

"No."

And maybe it was the need to comfort his teammate or a certain tug from his instincts or the sleepy, cute look on his face that made him put the dish on the nightstand. He let the grip guide him where Jude wanted him to be. He raised an eyebrow when the bunny kept pulling him farther into the centre of the bed yet followed when he was sent a glare. As much of a glare it was, it didn't hold any heat. All it did was make him pout adorably that Parker giggled at.

In seconds they were settled next to each other laying on the bed. The enderman wasn't used to this as he slept upright and didn't need to do that as much as a normal human would. The bed was slightly too small for him and his feet stuck out the end yet Jude seemed perfectly content so that was enough reason not to move. The bunny was curled up, trapping his chest with his full weight atop and still snuggling impossibly close. Parker had an arm pulled over his back that Jude seemed to like the placement of. The enderman guessed from the content sigh the other made.

The purple-haired man's eyes which had been drooping lower with each breath he took shifted upwards at the corners before he began to smile.

"You're trapped now, here with me," he ended with a yawned, eyes finally settling shut. Parker giggled at the irony, knowing perfectly what Jude had intended. He stifled the sudden sound when he started jostling the body on his chest too much.

Jokes aside, he quietly admitted in his mind that his teammate that's usually running around causing mischief with a massive grin on his face whenever he managed to trap someone was nice but on the rare occasions when he's this cuddly and sweet and impossibly adorable is the best. He refused to start cooing because he knew for a fact that Jude would hate that. Even in the state he was actively in he knew he would have sent him a glare that promised dying in a trap in the nearby future. And he definitely wasn't looking forward to that type of stuff.

Parker settled on relaxing and watching the other's chest rise and lower in a slow rhythm. A goofy smile persisted on his face, mentally filing the memory as "recall when he's feeling particularly Jude-deprived". Which- happened to be a lot actually. He's never going to admit it out loud though.
