A Tina In Time

Summary:

Louise builds a time machine

Chapter Text

“Ta-daaa!” Louise snatched away the blanket, revealing a large cardboard box with wires and buttons connected to it with duct tape in seemingly random places.

“Is that the box for the new refrigerator?” Tina asked

“Are we rebuilding the fort again!?” Gene chimed in, excited.

“No, even better!” Louise exclaimed. She paused for dramatic effect. “This… is a Time Machine!”

“Ohh” her siblings responded in unison.

“Wait, why did you make a Time Machine?” Tina asked.

Louise scowled. “Well I was minding my business being a good little student, when suddenly stupid Chloe Barbash spit her gum through a straw and it landed in my hair and embarrassed me in front of the whole class!”

“So…” Tina started to ponder.

“So,” Louise continued. “I’m going back in time to break into her locker and steal her gum and straws so she can’t embarrass me! And then she’ll look like the stupid one! HA!”

“Louise, I don’t think anyone cares this much except you,” Tina said.

“Oh come on, T” Louise rebutted. “You’ve never wished you could go back and undo something embarrassing? This could benefit you too!”

Tina thought for a second before responding. “I guess you’re right. I could undo when I bumped into Jimmy Jr the other day and spilled my lunch all over him,” she looked down, embarrassed.

“See?” Louise perked up. “This is a great opportunity!” She put her arms around her siblings. “Trust me guys, this is gonna change our lives!”

“What is it?” an adolescent sounding voice asked, staring at the Time Machine in the basement.

“Maybe we shouldn’t touch it,” another voice added, this one a young boy.

“Wait, look at this,” the first voice said. “There’s a date on here,” she reached out to get a closer look. “It’s from over 30 years ago!”

“Wait! don’t-“ the younger boy reached out as a flash of white light engulfed the room.
