Before the story starts, I just want it to be made clear that Y/n is based on Filia and Samson from the game Skullgirls. You do not have to know about the game in order to enjoy the story, as this is mostly going to be an AU anyway. ( For my Skullgirls fans dont worry, Y/n is going to be 18 in the events of everything that happened in the game, and is going to be living in the TFC world for 5 years before Canon, so there's no need to worry about that, remember Y/n is only based/ Inspired of Filia, she isn't actually her! )
I won't go too much into the lore of the game, but all you need to really know about the character Filia is that she lives in a world run by Mafia’s, “parasites'”(they are basically entities that bond to humans), and The Skullheart, the Skullheart is an demonic artifact that appears every 7 years by guarantee. And grants wishes only to woman, with the major cost of turning into a “Skullgirl” if their wish is “impure”. Samon is a parasite that fused with Filia to save her life . And everything else you need to know about Filia is going to be mentioned in the story with flashbacks.
i specifically Chose to go with the character Filia because she Is still fundamentally human at the end of the day, Pierrot would NOT fall in love with the MC - Y/n if they were a monster, because it's already expected for monsters to look out for one another, not to mention that monsters in tfc can smell other monsters. This keeps the Y/n human while also giving her supernatural elements that would allow her to not only protect herself, but also live long enough to stay with the circus (AU). And this is the only way I could see Jester Accepting her tbh. I'm the type of person that will try my best to stay with a character's canon personality as best as I can, but this habit of mine is also why I find it so hard to make stories, as I contradict myself a lot. I truly don't want to make a character too ooc, but I specifically like fanfic stories, which no matter how on character they are, are bound to have some qualities that are ooc. Not only that but I don't like when stories follow the show,game, etc, etc too closely, as it feels boring. I'm trying my best to fix this and loosen up on my strickness when making the characters, however if you have any constructive criticism that I find valuable I WILL take it.
Oh, and Pierrot and Harlequin are the Love interests
