Chapter Text
It’s out of control, Cappy thought.
Well, this wasn’t a shocker. A few weeks ago, he saw a Roblox forum post titled “weird tree in game, can anyone relate” and practically felt his heart beat out of his chest. This wasn’t supposed to happen. Rochas’s game is the only one that has the tree. No other game has it. Nosoi is contained. This isn’t real this isn’t real this isn’t realthisisn’treal.
I am fine.
Everything is fine.
Cappy calmed himself down and shrugged it off until another forum post appeared a few minutes later, explaining some sort of weird tree anomaly in a game. He convinced himself it was just a mere coincidence.
Or so he thought. Another forum post appeared seconds later, explaining how a tree appeared in their roblox studio baseplate. Cappy stood up from his seat, dashed outside of the practically crumbling happy home, and ran to alert 1dash. He didn’t like 1dash, but it was the only choice available. 1dash knew more about the tree than all of them due to his countless hours of investigating it.
“The tree.” Cappy was straightforward, blunt. “The tree. It’s in other games.”
“You’re not joking, right?” Dash put his investigation notebook away while he turned to look at the 13 year old.
“Why would I be joking??” Cappy snapped. “Come take a look for yourself!” He motioned for 1dash to come take a look at the forum posts he saw earlier. Except this time there were more forum posts.
“This is a problem.” Dash looked at the computer screen with a blank expression.
“YOU THINK??” Cappy shouted.
“I’m being serious. This is a really big problem.” Dash pulled out his notebook from earlier. “The tree seems to be connected with all the others… Roblox got it under control before and it disappeared for a while until it showed up here out of all places. So if we get rid of the tree here, maybe it’ll solve things.”
“You’re forgetting about something.” Cappy’s voice suddenly went quiet. “Rochas.”
“Shit, you’re right. How do we delete the tree if Rochas is literally connected to it.”
“You tell me!” Cappy recalled that 1dash and Spacewanderer tried blowing up the tree with a couple of rocket launchers and found Rochas in pain. 1dash soon came to the conclusion that the tree was directly linked to Rochas somehow– he didn’t know why or how it happened. His only lead was Rochas stressing over the tree caused some sort of emotional connection to be formed– whatever damage done to the tree would be done to Rochas as well.
“I have a couple ideas…” Dash said out of the blue.
Over the next few days, 1dash, Spacewanderer, and Cappy tried to get rid of the tree in their game.
It didn’t go well. All the attempts left Rochas (unintentionally) in a state of pain, and Cappy was starting to lose hope. He didn’t want a problem becoming everyone else’s… that is, until 1dash found something interesting (leave it up to 1dash to figure everything out bro). About halfway up the tree, there were faint, vein-like markings. When 1dash tried knocking on them, Rochas didn’t react much– he only said he felt some barely noticeable sensation.
“Wait, I’m getting somewhere.” Dash reached for the rocket launcher he used a while ago and aimed a blast directly at the vein markings of the tree. Instantly, the middle of the tree caved and revealed a gigantic, pulsating heart.
“Ew.” Cappy slightly gagged.
“That’s a little… repulsing, don’t you think?” Spacewanderer asked, speaking to 1dash.
“Shut it, all of you!” 1dash said sharply. “I’m taking a gamble.”
From the looks of it, 1dash was thinking really hard. Really really hard. He kept on shooting glances at Rochas and the tree and his rocket launcher. It kept going on like that for about five minutes: stare at friend, then tree, then launcher. Friend, then tree, then launcher. Friend, then tree, then launcher…
1dash set his jaw.
This gamble was going to solve everything or destroy everything… completely.
He pulled the trigger on the rocket launcher and aimed it straight at the tree’s heart.
