His big eyes are green like tree leaves in the sun. Outstretched branches twist over themselves to touch the light. The man on the grass has curly hair and red trainers, and his scarred hands reach out to cup the face of the man beside him, who turns and kisses him. When they pull back, he admires his partner, starry eyes twinkling with adoration. The man basks in the warmth and light radiating from his love, whose world is in turn illuminated by freckle constellations and brilliant smiles. By earth-shaking strength and heartbreaking kindness.
