JUNE 2009
It’s 6:00AM, Jecka checked on her flip phone, already awake wishing for Adderall and a cigarette. The light that came from the window, even if it wasn't as bright due to the closed curtain, still made the blonde wince at the glow filling a side of her room.
"What was I even supposed to do this week?," Jecka groaned and closed her flip phone to go downstairs and go to the Bathroom.
The annoyed blonde rubbed her eyes as she walked in, stopping cold as she saw shattered glass and torn pictures with her Mom scattered on the floor. Knowing Dad was the only one home, she went to the living room searching for him.
"Oh, morning, sweetheart," Jecka's dad expressed with a not-so-believable smile on his face as he saw his daughter head towards him.
"Yeah uh...," Jecka found it difficult to state her confusion. "Dad why were all the family photos with Mom shattered on the Bathroom floor?," she asked directly.
"Jessica, there's no easy way to say this-,"Jecka's Dad, revealed how he was getting a divorce after multiple fights with her wife.
"Holy shit...This shit's gonna be awesome!," the blonde teenager's face lit up.
"Dear I'm not sure if you should look at this as a good thing," the older man replied, with a certain concern drawn on his face.
Jecka's father coughed, trying to get her attention.
"Just so you know, now that's she's gone, there's gonna have to be a few changes around here",
