Freiya’s pov
It was an alright day. I was on Blue team with Aery, my partner, Evelynn and Whisper. As for the other teams, Orange had Barbarian, Elder Tree, Spirit Catcher, and Archer, Yellow team had Taliyah, Zephyr, Miner, and Flora, and finally, Pink team had Victoria, Baker, Adetunde, and Nyoka. Flora was chasing Zepher, throwing those bee hive things at him since he was at low health and was jumping away from her since he had 5 feathers, it was kind of funny. That was when I heard frantic footsteps and a blue owl feather snipe near me, and then- I heard Evelynn?
“FREIYA! BEHIND YOU!”
I turned around after hearing Evelynn’s voice, and there it was. Barbarian building up to try and jump me. I was getting myself together for the fight with Barbarian, getting my trusty ice sword out while other people were fighting when everyone suddenly stopped moving when an announcement was suddenly made which was really weird.
“the game has started. 5 people from each fandom will be swapped and go into the other fandom. Proceed with caution. We are not accountable for accidents or anything else that happens. Good luck, you’ll make it in one piece.”
Evelynn blinked a couple times while Whisper’s owl spirit was on her looking confused as well as the others who were silently speaking amongst themselves since no one was fighting anymore.
“Accidents? What does that exactly mean…?” Evelynn questioned as Nyoka thought for a bit before speaking up after coming to a conclusion.
“No idea, probably some weird glitch but it doesn’t seem like it since if it was we wouldn’t get an announcement like that so I doubt it but it could be something important.”
Zephyr nodded in agreement “I mean, Nyoka isn’t wrong. There has been a few technical errors but it’s really uncommon so it’s probably something important.”
Evelynn was about to say something when they all teleported out of game back into the lobby and other people did too soon after them which usually meant an update is happening but it wasn’t? Milo then spoke.
“what the? Is this some joke or something?” He looked at Cletus the farmer who just shrugged at him. They were probably on the same team doing some economic stuff.
I put my ice sword down since I was no longer fighting Barbarian now and fixed my cat hood before looking around to get used to my surroundings even though I’ve known this place well.
That was until the intercom went off again.
“CHOSEN PEOPLE TO TELEPORT TO THE FANDOM [Mafia] INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING LISTED YOU WILL BE TELEPORTED EITHER WAY IF YOU DO NOT COMPLY. Taliyah, Kadia, Lassy, Baker, and Freiya.”
“What in the world?” Baker was clearly offended, why did he have to come too? He already had too much making pies or something and was already having a migraine.
“Huh-?” Why did they choose me? I obviously was confused and Aery immediately ran up to me and she hugged me tightly, clearly worried that I’d be unsafe and because we were going to be separated, well allegedly. Maybe?
“Freiya oh my god this has to be a joke there is no way you’re leaving, you didn’t even consent to any of this and everyone else who got chosen didn’t either! There’s no way that’s allowed!” I looked at her and sighed softly before speaking
“Aery, dear, I’m not sure but I’ll be fine, it’s not that big of a deal and-“
Aery shook her head before speaking, clearly concerned for me and everything else.
“It’s not that big of a deal to you but it is for me you idiot! We aren’t gonna be together- and we don’t know what that Mafia world even is! Plus I don’t want to see you getting hurt if you come back!”
I looked around to the people who were chosen, Baker and Taliyah were with Farmer Cletus saying goodbyes as the poor Farmer looked absolutely miserable now since they were close friends, Lassy was talking with Barbarian about why Sheila has to be on their team next if they play again, and Kadia was with Lyla and Flora saying goodbyes too. Evelynn eventually walked over, a bit tired and patted Aery’s shoulder as a couple of her blue butterflies flew off somewhere before coming back to her.
“You’ll be fine Aery, I’m sure it’s just for a couple hours or so, plus I don’t think it’ll be that bad and-“
Her head immediately turned to Evelynn, a flicker of annoyance on her face before cutting her off.
“A couple hours? Evelynn, me without Freiya is the same thing as you without Whisper! And we all know how you two are all lovely dovely on each other so don’t even! Plus we don’t even know how long everyone who got chosen is gonna be in that place for! Also you don’t think it’s that bad but I do!” Evelynn snicked before replying back
“Well someone’s getting defensive! Freiya I’m sure you got this, it can’t be that bad, plus you have like Kadia, you two talk a lot so like it’s fine right?
I was about to speak when I suddenly teleported. Oh god I didn’t even get to say goodbye or anything! I looked around and it looks like I switched spots with the person who is now in my world since I’m holding a banana peel… yuck. Whatever… I felt something in my pocket and took it out, it was a folded paper and it read, “Saboteur, feed the paranoia. Lock down rooms and plant traps to engineer utter chaos. Outmaneuver them all and survive until the end to win.” Welp looks like I’ve also taken the person’s job. And I have their perk? “Face Value. A thousand lies. One truth, mine.” This is gonna be fun… hopefully some randoms don’t do anything stupid… is this door locked? Did this person just lock themselves in here? Oh my god of course, great now I’m stuck in here and-

…did the door just unlock. I opened it clearly surprised and saw- what the fuck? Some random guy with black hair and the American flag design all over him was staring at me. What is he wearing? that’s not…
”oh uh… I don’t think you’re Tyler I’ll just…”
He was going through his pockets? Oh my god no he is not going to sabotage me. I immediately grabbed my ice sword and was about to hit him when he just got keys out of his pockets
”I unlocked your door and- OH MY GOD!”
He immediately moved to the other side to dodge my attack before running off and yelling on how I was… Mafia? Wait do I chase him or something or is he on my team? Oh I might as well…
