Work Text:

** Thomas’ POV ** ~ 12:23 AM

I can't sleep.

I just can't! I’ve tried everything; warm milk, a different sleeping position, even taking melatonin. It's like my brain is against resting. I want to sleep, I really do. I haven't been able to get proper sleep for the past few days anyway. I get up and look out my window. It's raining, the droplets pattering on the glass. Weird, rainy weather always makes me sleepy. I have been a bit cold, though. Maybe I need to move. But where? Oh, I know! I slowly climb down the stairs and to the front door, slipping on some sandals and grabbing an umbrella from the stand.

~~~
Well here I am, walking in the pouring rain at midnight, half-asleep. Andreas wouldn't mind if I sleep there, right? He did tell me that he's been awake later since he's alone now. I feel so bad for him… Speaking of Andreas, I made it! I carefully step up. I noticed that the lights were on. Maybe he's watching TV or something. I rhythmically knocked on the door, awaiting an answer. A few moments later, a tired Andreas opens the door, glasses uneven on his face. It looks a bit attractive, I can't lie…
“Oh…! Hey Thomas, what are you doing up so late?” He questioned, opening the door wider to let me in.
“Well…I was wondering if I can sleep here for the night? I haven't been able to for a while now.”
“Yeah, totally. I was just about to go to bed, anyway.”
“Thanks…” I sigh, “So, I can just sleep on the couch right?”
“Hm? I thought you meant you were sleeping in my bed.”
“Like…together?” I asked quietly.
“Yeah. I trust you enough, Thomas. I want you to be comfortable.” My face went warm. He’s serious..! I would love to, to be honest. He’s really warm, coming from his hugs.
“I wouldn't mind.” I smile. His hand holds mine as we head to his room. He immediately slips into the covers of his bed. I hesitantly sit on the edge. I've never slept with anyone before, so I was a bit nervous. I stare at the floor and twiddle my thumbs.
"You know you don't have to do this, right?" Andreas started, sitting up, "I was just suggesting it if you felt lonely."
"Oh, no! Honestly, I'd love to do this. It's just...it's my first time doing anything like this, really." I said, sheepishly grinning.
"I get it. The more you stay in the bed, however, the less...awkward it is." I nodded and laid down. I felt his fingers brush against mine. Their warmth sent waves throughout my body. It made me feel safe. I felt safe here. I'm in the same bed as the person I trust the most.
1:15 AM
In a matter of time, my head was on his chest. I could hear his heartbeat. It was steady and slow. As I listened to it, my heart began to synchronize with his. I looked up at the ceiling, then at Andreas. He was asleep. We've been giggling and talking for a while, anyway. He looks so peaceful. I wonder what's he's dreaming about. I give him a small peck on tbe cheek, and his mouth forms the smallest smile. I giggled at this, and finally closed my eyes. Then, for the first time in a while, I drifted off to sleep without any problems at all.
