Before we start the fic, I wanna say thank you for reading, and I have some stuff I wanna get out of the way first for the darker themes of this fic.
- This fic has themes and heavy mentions of Christian cults, so if you feel uncomfortable reading something like this it's highly encouraged you click off, especially if you have bad experience with Christian cults.
With that out of the way, this fic is NOT encouraging cults, and the author is not pushing for any kind of cultish behavior. (The fic in fact actually will point out a lot of things that are wrong about cults later on in it's story.)
- There aren't direct mentions of self harm, but it is implied. (Same goes for suicide)
- If you're Christian/Catholic/etc and you don't like the idea of someone seeing God viewed as imperfect (as well as His creations) then click off the fic and don't get mad at me in the comments for it, because this fic heavily revolves around the imperfections of Christianity and imperfections of God.
And last but not least to save my own ass
- Don't come screaming at me torches blazing pitchforks at the ready in the comments if you get mad about something in the fic. While constructive criticism is appreciated, and I'm open to fix something I may have gotten wrong, use common sense and remember that this fic IS fiction. I look down on cults and or cultist behaviors. The cult in this fanfic is purely fictional and this plot was pulled out of my ass.
There might be more here later, but that's all for now :) Hopefully these disclaimers didn't ruin the whole experience, but these are mostly the darker themes of the fic that need to be acknowledged, I swear the whole plot isn't angsty cult shit.
