"Do it again! We need more iron anyway"

-------------------

Owen stumbles into the tower Apo sleeps. It had been a long climb but she didnt have a bed of her own to sleep in, and she was scared of the dark she could not see. Apo of course flew up a quarter hour prior - a way up much preferable, Owen was sure.

"Apo?" she breathed; Owen couldnt seem to recall if or not she slept in Apo's bed that night.

A few moments pass - moments that made her heart stop and flutter but she didn't know why. "Owen? Is that you? Are you alright?" the genuine concern in her voice had Owen grasp her hands together. "Yes I'm, I'm fine I just don't have anywhere to… take my slumber." What would she say to that, she hoped that wasn't too far. Apo seemed to think for a moment, a moment Owen's heart stopped. "My bed's big enough for a pretty woman such as yourself I'm sure." She laughed at that. Just a joke, but a small part of Owen wished she were serious.

Apo extended a hand for Owen to come closer "Don't be shy, it's just a bed." Apo shuffled over just a tad, enough to give room for owen to lay down, but they'd still be touching. /Okay then, okay it's just a bed, it is fine./ She took off her sandals slowly and put them in the corner of the room. She wondered if Apo's wings were uncomfortable when she slept. She remembered something about that. Apo started to speak again. "My wings are a bit.. frustrating to sleep with - I miss my life, and everything I once knew Owen, I wish I could go back." Owen understood what Apo meant, but didn't agree in the same way Apo did. She finally stepped over to the bed, and put a hand on the post of the headboard, hand smoothing over the polished wood to the soft mattress. Her hand shuffled over a bit to far, and she found her hand on Apo's arm "Sorry," "That's alright!"

She lay down looking at the ceiling, her hands on her chest. A few minutes pass. "Apo?"

"Yes?"

"Earlier, I opened my eyes and it. Something happened but it hurt it felt like I was being broken and fixed again a thousand times over, in a single moment. I don't know why and I'm scared. Scared something's going to happen soon. I have this sense of forboding, but well I always do here."

"I'm sorry, Owen."

"That's alright."

Birds - perhaps artificial ones, created by the gods to ease our boredom - tweeted in the early morning sun-rays. Owen was awake, and she felt arms across her body. Apo 's arm draped across her body, and she smiled at the expression of asleep Apo. Another day, huh.
