"Huh, oh no I don't think I'll need you today" Reigen said, Dimple floating by his side, glancing up from his computer to look over to Mob who was still standing at the door, holding onto his school bag's strap, blinking twice before stepping back.
"Oh okay, goodbye" He simply said, walking out the door while Reigen struggled to photoshop and crop a picture.
Shigeo walked out of the building, not exactly sure what to do with his day. His parents weren't home and Ritsu was out with some friends. Oh, maybe he could do the same. But he didn't have anybody in mind, I mean who could be free at the moment. He sighed fidgeting with his hands as he walked through the street, looking down at his hands, too focused on trying to plan his day to notice a friend of his right in front of him.
"Kageyama? What are you doing out here?" A familiar face asked him, forcing Shigeo to look up and look Teruki in the eyes, gaining a faint smile when he heard his voice.
"Oh, hi Hanazawa." Shigeo said, not answering his friend's question while the other furrowed his eyebrows, trying to piece together what Mob was doing out here alone. Glancing around, Teru spotted a small ice cream stand right besides where they had stopped, which caught his eye and seemed to be the answer to his question.
"Ah, I see, you came here for some ice cream!" He confidently claimed as he crossed his arms over his chest and grinned, "No not really, but we can get some if you'd like." The proud look on Teru's face shattered in an instant, before he cleared his throat, regaining himself, and placing both his hands on his hips, ready to head to the stand.
"Yep, that's exactly what I meant, let's go-" He said, wrapping an arm over Mob's shoulder, dragging him over to the stand, needing to reassert the dominance he had almost lost just a second ago.
As Teru ordered, Shigeo couldn't help but feel this mixed and unfamiliar feeling in his stomach. Was it something he ate? No nothing was new or expired.. He had felt it when Hanazawa wrapped his arm around him, and now just watching him order still made this weird feeling in his stomach linger. Mob clenched his stomach, trying to stop or at least suppress how he was feeling.
While getting his little dessert, Hanazawa noticed Mob's uncomfortable look, furrowing his eyebrows before speaking, "Want to sit down?" He asked, getting a quick nod from Shigeo as they walked over to a bench. As they sat down, Hanazawa took a quick lick of his ice cream before handing it over to Mob.
"Here, I know this is your favorite flavor" He said, watching as Mob thanked him and took the cone, looking through his things with his free hand to try and find enough money to repay Hanazawa. Mob dropped a couple hundred yen in Teru's hands— not enough to even repay half of the ice cream, but Teru already knew that with a paycheck from Reigen, Mob wouldn't be drowning in money.
As night fell, Kageyama and Hanazawa stayed on the bench, thinking. The silence wasn't uncomfortable, at least that's what Shigeo thought, but the thoughts running through his mind were getting annoying. He couldn't help but glance at his friend, biting his inner cheek and feeling a little nervous. This feeling was starting to look a little more familiar. His sweety palms, his burning red face, the way he had a million thoughts running through his mind but couldn't bring himself to speak right now, reminded him of how he's always acted when Tsubomi was around.
At the realization, Mob froze. Was he crushing on Hanazawa? This was much too confusing. He let out a sigh, closing his eyes for a good second before opening them, feeling something over his hand. When he looked down to see what it could be, he could've sworn his heart stopped beating for a minute at least. Was Hanazawa's hand always there? Was he too absorbed in his thoughts that he hadn't even realized Hanazawa was holding his hand-
"You alright, Kageyama?" Teru asked, tilting his head to the side as Mob raised both of his hands defensively, trying to explain. "Y-yes! Actually..." Shigeo sighed. It wasn't good to let feelings bottled up, especially for him, and he had to get this off his chest.
"My stomach keeps turning when you're around, and I can't seem to focus because my head always starts spinning with different thoughts, and my hands are really sweaty, and-" Kageyama let all out, rambling before being caught off by Teruki.
"You're not oblivious, Kageyama, I know you can tell what you're feeling" Hanazawa stated, crossing his arms and slumping onto the bench as Kageyama started thinking even harder, and having his face turn redder. "It's the same way I've always felt around Tsubomi..." He mumbled, having Teru gain a small grin on his face.
"So you've come to a conclusion. It's a crush, isn't it?" He asked, looking Mob in the eyes even though the latter couldn't look in his direction, only looking at his hands laying flat on his lap. "I think so... Or maybe more, like love"
That word caught Hanazawa off guard. Love. Sure he was used to girls telling him they liked him, maybe a few guys telling him they liked his stance when it came to fighting, but love? Hanazawa's face turned a light shade of pink, as he tucked a slightly longer strand of his hair behind his burning ear. "I think I might maybe probably love you too" He admitted through a wall of hesitation, fidgeting with his hands before letting out a sigh.
"Kageyama..." He started, locking eyes with Mob as he bit his lip hard, not sure what to say or do right now, "We should head out, it's already dark" Hanazawa said, getting up from the bench and changing the subject. Mob agreed, getting up and walking besides Hanazawa. The conversation started off a little bumpy, but after a while of walking they started talking smoothly, comfortably. Finally, the both of them stopped at the path where they'd have to split up. Some selfish part of Teruki wanted Shigeo to stay longer, but he didn't want to be imposing. He simply sighed, turned his heel and started walking off.
"Hanazawa, wait!" Mob exclaimed, clenching both his hands, hating the thought of having to watch Hanazawa walk away. "Could you come over... If you wouldn't mind that is," He pleaded through slightly trembling lips, as Teruki placed a hand on his hip, and stayed silent for a moment, trying to play it off as if he wasn't desperately hoping he wouldn't have to part with Mob.
"I suppose I'm not in a rush"
