"What did you just say?" Iseul can only stare in shock and mild horror as he stares at Min who stares back while sitting on his bed.
"I want to make a deal, one so we can be together forever." It's said with the same calm as anything else he says and it evokes further shock from Iseul.
Stepping closer to Min Iseul reasons, "That's- Min you can't just say that like it's nothing. This is serious, you can't make a deal with me."
His words don't seem to have changed his mind as he asks, "Why?"
Iseul sputters confused as to how Min would even need to ask, "Because you'd be giving up your soul! You'd be damning yourself to hell!"
"But I'd be with you right?" Min's eyes soften as he adds, "If so then I don't mind."
It takes a moment for Iseul to respond, when he does he sounds panicked, "Min, I don't think you get it, hell is a terrible place, people are constantly hunting and hurting each other it's just one bit fight for power. Even if we get to be together there we won't enjoy a second of it."
"Then we'll stay in the human world." Min says it like it's the obvious answer.
Iseul steps closer even more confused, "What? What do you mean? What are you gonna make a deal to become immortal or something?"
There's no need for words as Min only nods in response. With every response Iseul can't help but feel more concerned for Min.
"But, then you'll have to watch everyone you love leave you, that'll feel-"
For the first time Min seems confused as he questions, "But you wouldn't leave me?"
Iseul shakes his head quickly reassuring Min with, "No! Of course I wouldn't leave, bu-"
"Then it's fine. If you're with me then my life will be perfect, if you're with me for eternity, that might be something beyond perfect." Min closes his eyes in thought once more envisioning the life with Iseul he'd already thought of hundreds upon millions of times.
Putting a hand to his head Iseul pauses before redirecting his argument, "Ok fine, if hell doesn't matter then what about your soul? Even if we stay in the mortal realm I'll still own your soul, I'll have complete control over you!"
Min opens his eyes again and lets out a small huff that could almost be considered a laugh, "Iseul, that will be true whether you have my soul or not, or I suppose that would mean you already do have it just not physically."
"No, Min I don't want control over you, that's just wrong!" The panic is more clear in his voice as he's tread this same conversation multiple times.
His response however only pleases Min as he responds, "I know, if you don't want to control me then don't, you have to make an effort to use my soul to control me right? You'd never do it so what does it matter?"
"Well, yes, but..." Iseul begins to tap his foot and crosses his arms as he keeps thinking trying to find a reason as to why this is a bad idea. And yet he can't come up with one. The most he could say is, "I, have you really fully considered this? You're just, ok with losing your soul?" There's a pause before he adds, "with being stuck with me forever?"
Min looks at Iseul again before answering, "Iseul, I cannot imagine a worse torture than being without you, and a better paradise then being by your side. You owning my soul, it makes no difference, it was your's already. Being in hell or on earth, it doesn't matter, being with you is all that does. So please, let me make a deal with you." Min stretches out a hand to open the idea again, waiting for Iseul to agree.
Iseul stares at the outstretched hand and contemplates, when all put together and laid out it seems like Min has a complete understanding of the situation. If he understands it fully and is still willing to do it, then that's his choice right? That's a good thing then, because Min is doing something he wants, even when Iseul pushed back he didn't give up on it. If he wants it that bad, if this is what he truly wants even after understanding everything. Then who is Iseul to refuse him and himself what they want?
Taking the hand Iseul slowly says, "Ok... Min Woo, speak what you want, and at the price of your eternal soul, I shall make it true."
There's little pause as Min says, "I want to become immortal and spend my immortality with you in the mortal realm, Iseul."
Iseul casts one last look into Min's eyes and still finding no hesitance he responds, "Then so we shall."
For a moment it's quite before the sound of a chain reverberates through the room, soon it surrounds Min. He keeps his calm waiting for whatever it is that's happening to finish. Suddenly he can feel something warm around his neck, even still he pays it no mind just waiting, trusting and knowing that nothing bad will happen.
Iseul raises his other hand and an orange chain forms in it and extends towards Min's neck connecting to the newly formed matching orange shackle wrapped around his neck.
Once connected the sounds in the room stop in an instant. Min looks towards Iseul who looks down at the chain in his hand, he turns it in his hand before letting it go, as he does so it fades away, though the warmth around Min's neck doesn't.
Looking at Min Iseul says, "There, you're immortal now... And your soul is mine..."
Getting the full confirmation is exhilarating, the rush of emotion Min feels has him act as he tugs on Iseul's hand pulling him towards the bed and himself as he lays down. Iseul comes crashing down on top of him with his head landing in the crook of his neck.
The two lay in silence for a moment before Iseul wistfully says, "Forever..."
Min turns a bit to look down at Iseul as he says, "So we'll be together forever." He pauses before a smile slowly creeps onto his face, "You'll never leave me..."
Leaning a bit forward to put his head in Iseul's hair and between his horns he responds, "Never."
Iseul laughs feeling elated as he says, "ya know that was kinda like a proposal, like binding ourselves together forever!"
"Mhm." Min can only stare enraptured by the joyful smile on Iseul's face.
"So! What do you wanna do first? We could travel, go do pretty much anything!" Iseul looks up at him eager to hear a response.
Of all the smiles Min has made this one is the closest to a full smile as he responds, "We'll decide later, we have all the time in the world."
