Molly opened another cabinet. Where could the cookie trays possibly be? She opened a few more cabinets before she heard soft footsteps enter the kitchen. Matt made his way to the bowl with the cookie dough, attempting to take some because, you know, cookie dough is delicious. Unfortunately, Molly caught him and grabbed a wooden spoon, slapping his hand with it.
“Ow! Molls, what was that for?” Molly put the spoon down and continued rummaging through a cupboard to look for the cookie tray. “No having any cookie or cookie dough until I bake them. Got it?” Matt pouted. “But Molly… “ Molly picked up the spoon again and pointed it at him. “Complain again. I dare you.” Matt didn’t say anything, only continuing to pout.
“Come on, fight back maggot,” she dared. Matt just hung his head and walked out of the kitchen. Coward. Whatever, she had to look for those trays.

Molly put the cookies in the oven, before removing the oven mitts and putting them back on the table. She headed into the living room, where Matt was sitting on the couch, reading a book. When he saw her enter the room, he put the book down and smiled at her. She collapsed onto the sofa next to him, leaning her head on his shoulder. “Sorry about earlier,” she said. “Mmm… it’s fine.” He wrapped an arm around her. She smiled and leaned up, pressing a soft kiss to his lips. After she pulled away, she started pecking kisses to his face.
“Molls! Stop! It tickles!” he laughed, shoving her away lightly. She laughed and leaned her head against his shoulder again. He leaned his head on hers and smiled.
They stayed like that for a while, just enjoying each other’s presence, until the oven dinged.
