Oculus (or, glasses to see a nightmare)

Summary:

AU-gust Day 12: Reality TV

Faith and Judea seemed to have the most rotten luck, work wise.

Work Text:

Faith honestly wasn’t sure how they managed to find a worse job than Watcher’s Coffee. And yet. Here they were, working at Oculus.

She genuinely hadn’t believed it was possible, for Oculus to serve worse food at drink. But, Watcher’s Coffee never made it onto Kitchen Nightmares. So, it was, just slightly, winning.

To be frank, it was really weird having the cameras around the restaurant. Both Faith and Judea were front of house, a mixture of hosting, waiting tables, bussing, and cleaning. Faith liked the cleaning the best, since it didn’t matter if she spaced out a bit. Or a lot.

Overall, the show wasn’t actually too relevant to them. The main problem was the Chef/owner, who refused to believe that his food wasn’t crap barely suitable for a dog to eat (Faith might’ve started watching the show). She did get to do a confessional, though. Which was quite exciting.

Although, Faith saw that most restaurants on this show weren’t saved. She couldn’t exactly see Boris changing his ways, so that made sense. Ah well. There was probably some other dump in Portvale who needed two front of house members. And Judea can drive, after all.
