a fire was burning the nursery room inside a castle, a maiden came rushing in the room a baby cried was heard this maiden pick up the infant as the elder son was burning dead, she snuck out the castle returning her home out the city with the sign over the castle gates highcliff. this lead to her running through the dyrewoods till a fissure crack beneath the floor as she fell in entering, a electric vortex as she come out the other side she enter the cave as spike rocks fall on top of her.
this is when a young married couple a women and a man, was gathering food when they heard a infant cried, "hear that?" asked the pregnant women, "kie?" the baby cried the worsen making her urge to follow the noise, as she runs. "wait, kie!" said the man as he followed her wife they run up the mountain to a cave where a baby was crying as the impale maiden lie dead in front of the infant. "a baby Tanjuro with a dead women?" utter kie. as she pick up the infant.
it was when the full moon shine on the night sky as the baby in her arms begin changing uncontrollably to a animal like creature electric energy spark flows around the infant as Tanjuro shock to tried to grab the infant off his wife arms. only for the infant become very canine like, Tanjuro pause as Kie froze frightening. the baby in her arm was gone and a creature was in its place. "a demon? no!" responded Tanjuro. "just what the hell is he Tanjuro." Kie asked.
"i dont know but we need to keep an eye on him just to be sure." said tanjuro. "so we're keeping him." asked Kie. holding the child in her arm. "If he eat human flesh.... we'll had to put him down if he eats normally, then we don't have anything to fear." said Tanjuro. as such they took the creature infant it was here that the in the baby creature life begin to change as the man tanjuro kamado burried the maiden in the snowy ground of the cave as he not notice vortex in the end of the cave as he leaves.

the young man Okami kamado felt unease he was a young man no more then ever. he had his old sickness overwhelm him. a sense of something is out of place, yet he continuing helping his family as he cut down a few logs to turn to charcoal, he was doing it with takeo help yet the fever is taking okami, "i take it from here okami." said takeo. as okami "better get ready for the arrange marriage." said takeo. that was the source of the fever come from. as he was no older then sixteen close to seventeen might be young.
but they decided to arrange the marriage early, okami gave the nod as he arrived to see tanjiro pick up a basket of charcoal for as he was ready to head down the mountain to town. "tanjiro?" said a women it was none other then kie, "you knoe you really don't have to go all this snow is really dangerous." said kie. "i want us to have a good celebration on this marriage arrangement so that everyone could eat as much as they can." said tanjiro, kie smile.
"how thoughtful." she told her son. tanjiro notice okami from behind kie. as the mother notice her son looking another direction she quickly turn to see okami. "ready to meet your wi." kie paused herself to see okami doing unwell, "did you take your medicine okami or are you still raw." kie asked of her son. "still raw?." said hanoko of his oldest brother. he don't follow what her sister meant. he remain silent his maraige arrangement make him unwell for sure but there also something else he can't quite don't know but he felt happiness will be taken away from him.
"i have a bad feeling that something bad is coming to our home." said okami. when kie heard this. "think its the creature from before?" she asked the mother of his son, "there no doubt about it is the creature from before." said okami. kie smile was change with a concern face, she worries that this might not be a good time for a marriage arrangement after all the feeling of a predator out there if not something probably worse out gave her the fright and goosebumps. "your rawness has not falter and your instinct never wrong." said kie.
this was true okami was a in a way a good mountain man he can sense any animal in the mountain, from the unusual bear to the common dear. "i could cancel the marriage arrangement." said kie. "we can't just cancel it the kanroji will meeting us today." said nezuko. "then this creature is certain comes after them." said kie to nezuko. "i should handle this before any of us gets hurt." said okami as tanjiro had a kin sense of smell he can smell things from far and wide from animals to a person emotion. but the scent he smell is vile and unknown to him.
"we're here." said a girl no more then okami age, maybe a year older then him. with black hair pigtails tied with heart shape patern, as for her family they weakly smile. "misses and mister kanroji welcome to our home." said kie. "like wise..." said mises kanroji. "these are your children?" asked kie weakly smile. "yes." mister kanroji responded. "why don't you stay here for the day we talk about the engagement inside. tanjiro why don't you sell the charcoal in the village down town." kie suggested.
"okami this is your betroth, mitsuri kanroji." said misses kanroji. "its a pleasure to meet you." said mitsuri. "okami why you two to go to the gather some food and get to know each other." said kie. "oh uh okay" said okami, "mitsuri?" okami called kanroiji, offer him a arm bend to held on, "okay." said mitsuri as thus mitsuri and okami went off to the forest, as kie talk to the mister and misses kanroji, hanko and shigeru went to play with the younger siblings of mitsuri the triplets, from okami distant.
knowing that there a predator out there in the woods of the mountain kie prepare for the worse. if this predator comes she will lock the doors for the night for safety.

in the wilderness okami and mitsuri, were on in a woods with berry bushes, mitsuri gather some beries and acorns for the families, okami became unwell as he felt his emotion become overwhelming off as his heart skip a bit, pumping fast, is this the predator he sense? is it near by, his fever came as he wipe the brow of his forehead, he was unsure what this illness is. mitsuri see him look sickly as she walks toward okami, "your alright?" asked mitsuri, "just felt a bit raw is all." said okami, "raw?" responded mitsuri, "yeah my fever can predict the coming of a predato on a certain date and time" said okami. "predict like sense if there an animal coming on a certain time." asked mitsuri.
"well yes, but this creature i am sensing it unnatural." said okami,"and it can can't predict the date where it will come." he respond to mitsuri with such concern it make him feel ill. mitsuri seeing this place her hand on okami forehead the back oh of her hand can feel the fever of okami rising. "so tell me about yourself before we head back. what are you like." asked mitsuri.
"well i am caring when it come to my family helping my brother tanjiro with caring for them, tried my best to be kind to others and respect others, i feel raw when it comes to girls, i fear i might get rejected of something i do not know of." said okami. "will you reject me if something i do not know of myself?" asked okami of mitsuri. mitsuri was a bit speechless and look at okami with shock.
"can i show you something?" asked mitsuri "sure." answer the kamado. mitsuri spotted a boulder as she begin to lift it over her head. okami was not just shock but burst a smile crack in his face. "wow that was amazing." said okami. which mitsuri was cought off guard as she drop the boulder over her head as it fall behind her making a quake.
"your lying your not amazed your revolted." said mitsuri. "no i am pretty sure i am amaze." said okami. "then what about my hair." said mitsuri, as then she wipe her hair with a towel as a bit of pink was revealed to okami. "your real hair color is pink that cute." said okami. "no this can't be real it has to be a dream." said mitsuri. "do you want me to pinch you?" said okami. "no i mean uh i don't know." asked mitsuri being off guard of okami response, "we should continue gathering food for then head back." that when a bear appeared as okami mitsuri scream on top of her lung okami act on emotion and instinct as his body move on its own.
this is when his body body felt raw feeling again as he grab the bear by the head he somehow twisted a one eighty degree as the bear fall lifeless. "h- how did i- mitsuri?" asked okami mitsuri froze as she look at okami differently as if she seen a monster and in instant it was gone. "it nothing its just that for a moment i thought i saw you..."mitsuri pause for a moment and thinks. "saw me what" asked okami "nothing lets head back we're eating bear tonight." said mitsuri.
"right can you use your strength to pick up the bear? becuase i never seen a bear this big before." asked okami. "oh right." said mitsuri still in shock of what she thought she seen." this was the moment mitsuri use her strength to pick up the bear over her shoulder as okami take not just berries but also herbs as well. as spying them from afar in the dense tree, red eyes emerge in the blackness of the tree dark depth of the tree as it gave a low growl.
once arrive mitsuri place the bear on the wooden bed, "is there a place where i can refresh myself?" said mitsuri. "oh at the back." said okami. "want me to take you there or- "i got it okami kamado." said mitsuri
as okami begin to skin its dead body separating the meat removing the bladders and intestines and the skin was place in a bag as mitsuri place what they gather in seperate basket , then head to some sort of bathroom where she wash her her hair revealing a pinkish color with green tips. from cutting off to peaces with a clean hachet, okami felt ill again as it he drop to his knee with the hacthet fall on his back.
as he body begin to crack and shifted his arms was turning to claws. "okami!" cried kie comming to his oldest son, shoving a black flower to his mouth, somehow it almost working for a moment that when they look up seeing a full moon in sunset "mom there something your hiding from me is there?" asked okami, kie froze for a split second. "what is wrong with me?" asked okami. "nothing, nothing at all." said kie.
"don't lie to him! i know your hiding something from me, i seen you with father on his death bed there something your hiding from me!" said okami kie was shaking scared as mitsuri stare at her fiance in the mother arms, "i want you to know whatever it is, whatever you and father is worried about i'll trust you do the right thing i just hope there something i can do to fix it." said okami. kie kamado broke to tears as she then, responded.
"oh okami, so thoughtful, i want you to understand that no family had ever love their child as we love you." whimper kie crying heavy. "i wish i could be more helpful like tanjiro and nezuko that way i won't be a burden with my illness." said okami feeling bad for her mother. kie shaking quivering in fear. "don't be like your brother and sister." said kie to her son. "think its time should tell you something we should've told you a long time ago. but be sure to know your not like your brothers and sister." said kie. okmai did not know what she meant by that.
but before okami to asked, tanjiro return with an empty basket seeing his sick older in kie arms. mitsuri rush in to okami as she help take her betroth up and to inside, the meat was already cut as then tanjiro clean it, kie then spoke to her eldest son. "we'll talk about you soon in this day." kie walk mitsuri walk inside to see nezuko over heard the talk heck it was not much a secret to them anymore, kie was making a medical drug for okami with some black flower plant, "what flower is that?" asked mitsuri, kie barely notice her.
"oh its black wolf bane it treats okami sickness- no his situation." said kie. she pause for a moment knowing she already done making the medicine. "i think it time to tell everyone the truth about okami." said kie as she finish prep the rice if not the bear meat. "he's not human is he?" asked mitsuri. "i need everyone to gather at the main room." said kie as she brings the medicine out to the main room, okami was waiting fevering a bit while cover "here take this, it.. help you with your situation." said kie. "and don't forget the breathing technique you made."
as every kamado and kanroji family member gather sitting on a set up table, mitsuri came with the serving of bear meat, rice and a stew, seeing all already gather, kie spoke. "when i found okami he was nothing more then a newborn in the arms of dead maiden, tanjuro and i took him in but when night come he change to something different," said kie. "to a demon?" asked misses kanroji. "no to something from western folklore, this under a full moon." kie answered. "what is he if not a demon? mother?" asked nezuko. "a werewolf." said kie. mitsuri froze at kie answered.
oakmi was shock at what her mother said, yet he kept doing his breathing technique after taking his medicine. "those only a myth there are no demons and werewolves" said tanjiro. "yet i seen him change before my eye, and he manage to retain his humanity due to the black wolf bane, a flower that grows here on this mountain, and his self made breathing technique." said kie. as hanoko shigaru and rakuto look at each other then to their two older siblings who look back. the kanroji look at their daughter. who was frozen for a split moment unfroze herself as she spoke
"i seen him quickly change it was for a split second when he kill the bear." with that the kanroji we're not convince that okami is a werewolf. "do you have any proof that his a werewolf?" asked mister kanroji, kie only pointed at okami. as okami look at himself shock and horrified for he was transformed to a werewolf. mitsuri mother fainted at the sight of okami, the hanoko and shigaru were shaking frighten, as nezuko and tanjiro were in awestruck, okami felt uncomfortable with his transformation he felt like no one will accepts him now. then her mother came to him giving a hug embrace. "Okami its okay your still you your still my son." said kie.
the kamado sibling got close as kie cease her hugging. "this is what you meant is it of how i am different from nezuko and tanjiro..." said okami. "yes but you will never harm us." said kie. as tanjro and nezuko walk up unease from then rakoto stept forward to okami. "remember when i asked for a dog?" asked rakoto. "y-yes" asked okami. "this is way better." said rakoto patting his older brother head, now felt ease the kamado sibling lower their guard, as they come up to okami and kie. but mitsuri father still hold his youngest children.
"why would you have our duaghter marry him?!" mitsuri's father snapped. "what if he does hurt us hurt humanity hurt mitsuri?" asked mister kanroji. fear still hold him. scarred by this mitsuri remembers what her first fiance word come to life as it echos in her head.

"here to marriage then." said nezuko they begin celebrate the marriage engagement between okami and mitsuri for the time being.
