The White Wolf And The Little Spider (Rewrite)

Summary:

Peter Parker has Doctor Strange make everyone forget who Peter Parker is - only for him to find out a few months later that there's still one more person who remembers. He and the person end up falling into a glowing green pool and end up in New Jersey (Ew) with some cool looking white strands in their hair and green glowing eyes when they get mad. While in Gotham, they have to worry about making new identities and staying out of the Bat family's interest…but when you see a spider kid and a man with a metal arm that have both been in the Lazarus pit, you tend to get curious.

Notes:

This is the rewrite of TWWATLS (The White Wolf And The Little Spider), it is a little different from the first story, but is still the same mostly. Whats different is that the story has better grammar as well as its more accurate to the new spider-man movie (Spider-Man Brand New Day). so slight spoilers to the movie but not too much. I hope you all enjoy!!!

WARNING!! WARNING!!!! I'm not an expert with the DC universe or even the Batman franchise, it might be inaccurate or non cannon, so please be warned and dont leave any hate behind

Chapter Text

Peter froze in thought. "What if everyone forgot who I was?"

Doctor Strange widened his eyes at the suggestion, “What?”

Peter always believed that his Parker Luck was real. When his parents died, when Mr. Stark died… even aunt May’s death is more than enough proof of this. He believed that it all happened because of his Parker luck - This situation was no different.

Peter took in a shaky breath, "They're coming here because of me, right? Because I'm Peter Parker? So cast a new spell..but this time, make everyone forget who Peter Parker is, make everyone forget..." Peter quickly closed his mouth and licked his lips. "me.."

Doctor Strange shook his head, "No.."

"But it would work, right?" Peter questioned.

"Yeah it would work..." Doctor Strange felt a lump in his throat and he swallowed it. "But you've gotta understand, that would mean that everyone...who knows and loves you.. we.." He couldn’t stand the thought of what Peter could go through and his vision began to blur. "We'd have no memory of you.."

Peter looked up at Doctor Strange, taking in this not very new information.

"It would be as though you never existed," Doctor Strange added on.

Peter Parker took in a shaky breath and slowly nodded his head. "I know... Do it."

Doctor Strange gave Peter a nod and sighed sadly. "Yeah.. Better go say your goodbyes, you don't have long..."

"Thank you, sir-" Peter got ready to leave until Doctor Strange cut him off.

"Call me Stephen.."

Peter slowly looked up to Stephen and smiled sadly. "Thank you Stephen..."

Stephen let out a low chuckle, "Yeah... still feels weird..." He smiled at Peter who gave him an acknowledging nod.

"I'll see you around..!" Peter waved and webbed off to say goodbye to his friends and the other Peter’s.

Little did Peter know, Stephen would change the spell slightly to give a hand to Peter.

"Peter... you're too young to bear all of this alone... for what you have done and are doing for the sake of the universe, I'll give you a little gift..." Stephen smiled and altered the spell just a tad bit.

It’s been a few months since Spider-Man made everyone forget his identity. Spider-Man has found an apartment and a job. He was taking a jog around a park out of the suit until he bumped into someone while not paying attention.

“Oh goddamn it- I’m so sorry, I wasn’t paying attention.” Spidey apologized until he was offered a hand to help him up… a metal hand.. wha - OH MY GOD ITS BUCKY BARNES. Spidey quickly stood up, sputtering words only for Mr. Barnes to cut him off.

"Hey hey hey, it’s fine. Don’t worry about it. Peter, right? How’ve you been?" Mr. Barnes questioned.

Well, with everyone forgetting who I- wait a minute.. Why does he remember me?! "Oh uh... sorry are you talking to me?" It's ok... maybe he was just talking about a different Peter that he would know...

"Who the hell else would I be talking to?? The fucking tree? Did you get a concussion and lose your memory or some shit?" Mr. Barnes snarked.

Peter frowned and crossed his arms. "No, I'm perfectly fine. Why do you remember who I am??"

"Why wouldn't I?"

"...Because me and Doctor Strange removed me from everyone's memory..?"

Bucky stared at Peter with his mouth hung open. "YOU WHAT??" He shouted. "WHY WOULD YOU IN YOUR RIGHT GODDAMN MIND DO THAT???"

Ok...So...Maybe it was a bad idea to tell Mr. Barnes?

"So you're telling me... You removed yourself from your loved ones' memories.. because the universe was about to end?" It took about 2 hours of explaining for Bucky to finally understand and calm down.

"Yes!" Peter groaned. “Which, first of all, I have no idea how you didn’t notice that the universe was tearing apart and second of all I don’t understand why you still remember me!"

"It’s… a long story.. And to answer your second question; It sounds to me that Strange just wanted someone to remember and look out for you." Bucky smiled at the realization of him being trustworthy enough for this. "Why don’t you come to my place and we can catch up on what we missed out on."

Peter didn’t per say hate the suggestion… It would be nice talking to someone who still knew who he was. And so off they went.

Peter's starting to realize that it was a bad idea to go on patrol with Bucky...

To recap, Peter Parker moved in with Bucky after his constant persuasion to move out of his run down apartment and after a few weeks of getting settled they finally went on patrol for the first time together. The only weird thing about this is that on their patrol, Peter's Spidey Sense started to tingle - and of course Peter had to go investigate what it was that felt so dangerous. What if someone was in trouble?! Bucky followed close behind him and they came across a green looking puddle.

"The hell is that? ...is it glowing?" Bucky questioned as if in shock as he knelt above the puddle, poking it and rubbing the liquid on his finger tips together to feel its texture.

Peter stared at the puddle, senses buzzing… not dangerous, but warning him. Peter shrugged, “No idea, this is my first time seeing it too.”

Bucky glanced at Peter then looked back at the puddle, standing up as Peter tried leaning over to get a better look only for him to trip and accidentally fall into the glowing puddle, pulling Bucky in by his arm.

Peter slowly opened his eyes to find himself shivering and practically naked, with only a big coat covering his lower body half. What the hell..? Wait.. Bucky?! Where's Bucky?! Peter quickly sat up, ignoring his lingering migraine and frantically looked around, trying to find Bucky, only to see him kneeling over the green "puddle" which he now knows is actually a pool because its fucking deep. That's what she said. Shut the hell up. Wait, what the fuck? Who the fuck is talking to me? Peter pretended he didn’t just hear a voice randomly talk in his head and tried to get Buck’s attention

"M..r. Barnes…?" Peter muttered. His throat hurt as if he was screaming for hours. He decided to try to stand up, only for the soldier to turn to Peter and quickly help him lay back down.

"Hey now, you ok?" Bucky asked in a worry.

"Yeah... I’m fi-” Peter stared at Bucky, surprise clear in his eyes, “Your.. your eyes are green… and your hair is white..!”

"My hair?" He took his hair in his hands but because of how short it was, couldn't see it. "yeah well.. How about you? You also have glowing green eyes and a strand of white in your hair."

"Huh?" Peter furrowed his eyebrows in confusion and took his hair, pulling some of it to stretch his curly locs that grew out from the few months of being alone only to find that his hair was indeed also white. "Okay.. what the fuck."
