The Moon and the Sea
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
The Moon resides high
Her light pulling gently at the tide
The Sea flows calm
Her fairies of light glimmering as the waves reside
Two worlds
so close yet so far
Just barely out of reach
But only by a star
Even through the frozen surf
Her waves still yearn
The Moon tries time and again
But her efforts are blocked in turn
Tracks on opposite sides of a train
Cursed to never meet
All they can do is pine
Stuck on opposite sides of a street
Dawn is a beautiful thing
But not to that of the sea
Forced to watch her loved one leave
As her reflection of the moon shatters to debris
. . .
Two roads
Split only by the sky
Doomed to always be parallel
But never to be tied
