It was the afternoon, Dee just finished his last class which ends right before Lief's last class like every day of the week; normally student schedules aren't this linear but it wasn't case nor fate that Dee's classes were so accurately placed; even if he wouldn't admit that at gunpoint, he spent so much time setting this system up after all, not because he found hacking the school server hard itself of course; His father's surveillance net thought; that was the real challenge; well the teen already knew that his father is on his case and he's got 90% of it figured it out too on top of that, the remaining 10%? Proof, he would need evidence and as long as Dee left none he was safe and sound.
Today he needed to study Lief's habits, what she usually does after school when neither him or Heavy are with her, not for anything creepy of course; he just wanted to know exactly what kind of hangout would she enjoy besides abbandoned places to take her out on a hypothetical future date that he needed to plan before even confessing, so nothing odd... Or at least that is what he kept repeating over and over in his head, this repent method worked so well that he actually didn't feel guilt at all on his little stalking mission.
Lief left school with a little more enthusiasm than the usual, she's often very tired after a day of studying and bearing morons but today she was as cheerful as when she was with Heavy and Dee just hanging out, she didn't go at the entrance where she meets with the brothers to walk home together by routine, Dee told her both him and Heavy cought the cold and didn't go to school, while that was partially true, Dee's case was mild enough to let him go to school with a mask that also came in handy for... Well the extremely close behind walk, let's say. He hid in the classroom during recess and in the bushes outside school after the last period ended waiting for a update on the screen of the camera carried by Roach who was much more discrete than him.
Lief as joyful as she seemed to be today took the main road seemingly heading home but then changed path and entered an unknown alley, she pulled out her phone as if she didn't know how to get wherever she was going. Dee was more and more intrigued by the second but something cought his attention, it was weird he didn't notice it before to be honest but the flash of an old camera was much more obvious in a dark alley than in broad daylight, he looked up to the source of that unnatural light and saw a kid with glasses on the top of a short building, how did he even get there in the first place? That wasn't no random kid either Dee knew exactly who he was and was already pissed by the thought of it alone. He didn't think Wilhelm would go to such a great extent but here he was ruining his "collection of data". Dee looked up directly at him pissed and already panicked that Lief would find out someone was following her, Wilhelm hid himself and the camera sliding back on his stomach inside the margin of the roof, freaked out that he got caught; just in time for Lief to not see him once she looked in his direction and the the flash's that she didn't notice up until that moment because previously distracted by her phone. Dee released a huge breath unlingishing tension in his shoulder. Lief finally found the street she was supposed to take and got out on the other way of the alley but as soon as Dee was about to follow her Wilhelm blocked his way aka he fell from the building and pretended it was intentional even if he was flat against the ground and screamed in a high pitch when he impacted the ground.
Dee visibly displeased and borderline disgusted whisper-yelled -"What THE FUCK do you want Wilhelm?!"- Wilhelm unbothered by Lief possibly hearing him, in his typical theatral voice announced -"I wouldn't talk to me that way if I was in you, It seems like you're underestimating who you're against, I really didn't enjoy the sick prank you played on me last-"-Dee cut him out -"I don't care right now I'll insult your STUPIDITY in another moment" Dee run past him to not loose trace of Lief and took a peek around the corner where was Lief! Coming back attracted by the weird noises; Dee in a split second grabbed Wilhelm by the wrist and dragged him in the bushes on the other side of the street, not without complaints from the other boy of course; Lief was in the alley again inspecting it. Wilhelm not understanding what the big deal was and breaking his villain act spoke in a surprised and slightly annoyed voice -"Dude just say it was casuality you were there why are you hiding like-"- Dee cut him off once again and stopped his "blabbing" putting his hand on his mouth and checking if Lief was onto them but she didn't seem to notice so he half-assedly responded -"You don't understand I am not supposed to be here she doesn't-"- he interrupted himself, and then in a more composed and unfased tone even if still annoyed added -"It doesn't matter it's none of your business anyway"- and checked one more time if Lief was still there, except she vanished. Dee even more dreaded than before let out an exhausted groul getting up from behind the bushes and checking Roach's camera, the poor rat was in a more frequented street where she was supposed to track Lief from the side except she was frenetically trying not to be stepped on by the sea of people passing by.
Dee gave up on the mission: with Lief no where to be found and Roach in danger there was no point anymore so he called back the Rat and decided to head home he was really tired at this point -"Wait! Where are you going?"- Said Wilhelm confused like never before by the unpredictability of the classmate -"Why don't you follow me and find out yourself, asshole"- Dee said in contained anger, it seemed like the irony of it all wasn't catching up to him. But Wilhelm took literally Dee's snarky comment and actually did follow him to his house; right before the footsteps of the door Dee snapped -"WHAT! WHAT IS IT?! WHAT DO YOU WANT WILHELM?!"- the blonde said in exhaustion, Wilhelm lit up and responded dramatically as he fixed his glasses -"You're finally asking the right questions I see, a little birdy told me you go out at night to enter the school gates and commit various crimes against the institution to then blame other students that wronged you, does that ring a bell? Not to mention you stalk girls after school hours but wasn't she your friend?"- Wilhelm ended with genuine confusion; Dee with a flat voice and a flat expression dryly replayed -"I don't know what you're talking about and you don't have any proof anyway"- Wilhelm let out a forced soft lough and then said -"except I do and this time you can hack it to replace it with some crazy porn like last time. I took precautions: I gathered my evidence on an old camera, it isn't connected to internet and can only be accessed by hand. This time I won so you better give me access to the school server or I won't hesitate to use this blackmail material!"- his voice turning more and more lunatic and obnoxious after every word of his sentence to end with a more spontaneous but crazy nonetheless laughter; Dee not impressed at all was about to respond when the door of the house cracked open startling the two boys to reveal Glam on the other side -"Dee? Is this your friend? You've been talking out here for quite a while, do you want to continue inside?"- Dee was full of it, out of all the things that could happen to him the worst case scenario layed right before his eyes, his father who only needed evidence to finish and piece the puzzle together and Wilhelm, in this point in time, walking evidence.
So even if he was angry and bothered like never before he decided to play it cool to not bring this day from horrible to disastrous. He similed and put his arm around Wilhelm's shoulder, the boy too dumbfounded to react just stood there intimidated by the adult presence so Dee continued to make up some story -"Oh there's no need dad, he's my classmate, he was just about to go home, his mom wants him around for dinner, we were just talking about the plot of a movie before he headed home"- Dee said looking at his father who had a unconvinced pokerface on -"Ooh! So that must be why I heard you talk about blackmail, stalking and other deplorable things! That make sense!"- Glam said with an enigmatic apparently happy face, Dee wasn't too sure if he buyed that or not but as long as he didn't question any further he didn't care. "Okay, say bye to your friend and come inside, the weather is getting chilly at this hour and you were already sick this morning" Glam concluded shutting the door.
As soon as his father wasn't looking anymore Dee pushed Wilhelm off of him, squinted his eyes in disdain and pointed his finger to his chest -"You know exactly what happens to those who cross me, it's like you're asking me to make your school life miserable, stop digging your grave and GET OUT OF MY FACE"- he articulated clearly every word of that last part.
Wilhelm was offended, wounded in his pride and upset at his mistreat, he never saw Dee that upset in all the time he spent following him and maybe a slight sense of guilt was buried in him under all his anger -"you'll regret this!" He said while running away. -Sure..."- Dee said alone standing outside the door on his own in a much calmer and given up tone. Wilhelm in absolute rage once he was home was determined to revenge himself and reached out to his back pocket to get his 2000s camera and found nothing? Turns out Dee stole the thing right before pushing him away after his little charade to his father. He lost yet again but this was just the start.
