Chapter Text
He checked his phone, then checked it again. Oryn was supposed to be here 5 MINUTES AGO. But then again, who on earth chooses an amusement park for a battle? What about the innocent kids and people? He was a villain but he wasn’t a monster.
“Would you like to go out with me this weekend!?”
The memory replayed in his mind. Surely what he meant was let's have our fight somewhere else. Right? (zef you fucking dumba-) He looked to his left and saw families ushering their kids away. Tsk. He heard a squeal that made him want to rip his ears straight off of his head. Turning his head to his right he wishes he did.
“Sorry I didn’t mean to-”
Oryn was then cut off by those sorry excuses for a human.
“Oh it’s no big deal!”
“Are you here alone?”
Zef felt the anger rising in him.
No. Oryn wasn’t alone. He was here to see me. Me and me only.
Zef started walking over.
“No i’m meeting someone and-”
“Oh, they could join us too!!”
“Yes, yes! We wouldn’t mind at all!”
The nerve these bitched had to come and insert themselves into their… whatever this was and say it was fine if the one who was invited tag along? How pathetic. Learn some respect before I have to teach it to you.
“Oh really.”
The girls froze, now sensing the figure behind them. Oryn looked up, looking shocked and somewhat thankful.
“How thoughtful of you.”
The girls turned their heads to face the villain, looking as scared as a child who just had a nightmare.
“Sorry!”
The girls screamed as they ran off.
Tsk. Idiots.
Zef put his hand on his hip as he heard Oryn speak.
“Thanks for saving me.”
Zef didn’t respond, just stared. Oryn looked confused.
“What is it?”
Does he really not know?
“You're damn late!”
Oryn looked at his phone, seeming more worried now.
“Eh!? But I arrived just on time?”
“Common courtesy dictates showing up ten minutes early!”
Wow. That made me sound like an angry date with a mom of two kids. Wow I wish this was a date. I wish fate didn’t make us fight all the time- EH!? What on earth is taking over my mind and thoughts! I need to stop thinking about stuff like this!
He came back to reality just in time to hear Oryn finish his sentence.
“I’ll keep that in mind for next time.”
Oh how Zef wished this was a date. He would love a next time, even if he didn’t show it.
*TIME SKIP TO AFTER THEY EAT AND THEY’RE ABOUT TO LEAVE THE RESTAURANT (they don’t go to the fireworks)*
“Hey so boss, how was the date?”
“The fight we- what did you say?”
Mic, Jun, Haru, and Taro all exchanged glances.
“How… did the date go…?”
No way. No. way. I just went on a date with my protagonist? I can’t believe that happened. I shouldn’t want this. I can’t want this. I-
“Boss?”
Jun said, looking concerned. Zef felt his face heat up as he turned away.
Ren is gonna kill me.
