-Chloe’s universe is 2030 where ww3 and the 2nd civil war is going on, basically our universe but in the future and worse and the MCU movies/shows/comics dont exist. Chloe died in the same place a hockey puck was in Marvel but in her universe and somehow ended up attached to it and thats how she can teleport between universe bc in fanfiction anything can happen. Also its 2010 at the beginning of the story in MCU. Everything makes more sense, as it is read.
-Story starts with Chloe waking up confused af in a holding cell. B4 anyone can end up coming in to ask questions Chloe accidentally teleports back home and then to the hockey puck. She like woah but the hockey puck is being tested on by shield scientists and then they all on alert and fury is there and before they ask anything Chloe accidentally tps back to her world. She thinks she imagined it all but sees the evidence of her dying and is like oop okayyy. As she starts walking back to her home shes accidentally tps again and is like wtf and Fury is like wtf and b4 anyone can speak a stupid agent that got scared shot at Chloe and she tps back to her earth and then a few hours go by without her accidentally tping and then when she tries to sit down she accidentally tps again landing on her butt, this time both the hockey puck and her were in a holding cell type thing.
-Chloe starts to figure out how to tp between worlds and soon realizes shes stuck to the hockey puck and starts to experiment. Fury then walks in and tries to ask questions and Chloe is like nope u dont get to ask questions idk the answers to when u tried to shoot me. Fury is like the agent wasnt supposed to shoot. Chloe is like idc and i aint answering nothing until im done answering my own questions first. Fury tries to ask more but is ignored and eventually leaves Chloe be. Chloe then experiments with the hockey puck: testing the distance of tping, seeing that when she is in the marvel universe the time passing in her world pauses, seeing what she can bring with her while teleporting, noting that the time and date changed completely on her watch when she does tp to the marvel universe, and grabs ladders from her world to hang it up on a string in between the two near the ceiling and when Chloe tps back she tps above where she was being held in the cell and is now in a hallway. Shes like oop did not mean to do that and when shield agents come in with guns raised yelling at her to get back into her cell, Chloe is like i made a mistake and cant, the shield agents dont care and try to taser her or something non lethal, Chloe tps to her world to safety and waits like at least a day b4 trying to return and finds the ladders and string gone and the hockey puck on the ground.
-To Fury’s POV is back when he first left and Hill is like wait we need answers, and Fury is like shes getting them for us as they watch and take notes on the experiments. They take note of the ladder and tping thru a floor incident and when they go to retrive the ladders, they find that they were manufactured years in the future. Fury notes that shes from the future and that explains her high tech watch.
-Back to Chloe’s POV she is on her final experiment (its to try and see if the puck can be destroyed) and says to the camera asking hey can u guys bring the hockey puck somewhere desolate where nothing and no one is around? She waits like 10 mins and no one appears so shes like fine, dont bring it somewhere where no one can get hurt but if something happens its on u guys, dont blame me. She then tps back to her world, grabs a couple grenades and goes back to the hockey puck. She then tosses said grenades at the hockey puck and immediately tps back home. She then waits a couple minutes and tps back. She then inspects the hockey puck to find no damage, the cell however is damaged. Fury then walks in like i wld appreciate it if you wld stop blowing things up. Chloe is like no promises but now i can try to answer some questions u have. They then exchange some questions and answers like asking each other their names, fury asks r u from the future (plz note the second he found this out hes been keeping Chloe off record bc the knowledge she could have is insane and dangerous) Chloe is like sort of ya, Chloe asks what this place is and Fury answers.
-At the end of questions and answers Chloe is like whats gonna happen to the hockey puck since im attached to it. Fury is like as long as u dont do anything stupid and tell ppl the info u have, u can keep the puck in ur possession. Chloe looks at him like hes dumb and says what happens if i go back to where im from, the puck stays here unguarded and if someone is waiting to kill me on the other end than im kinda doomed. Fury outwardly doesnt show anything on his face but inwardly is like oop i didnt think of that. Chloe then is like why dont u keep it, u can make sure its protected. Fury is like im not a babysitter. Chloe is like i dont need baby sitting and ur the director of this organization, u said so urself so u can make sure i dont do or say anything stupid and i can still come here whenever i want and wont be stuck in a dark cell when i do. Fury eventually agrees to this as he thinks he have Chloe in his grasp and therefore will have all the info abt the future that he needs. He then takes the hockey puck and puts it in his pocket.
-Time skip
-A bunch of scenes with fury and Chloe bonding and sharing secrets.
-One of them fury is chilling in his office and Chloe pops up with a chair, she then proceeds to set the chair down and sit in it backwards, facing Fury. Furys like what r u doing here? Chloe is like i got bored, whatcha doing? Fury is like dont u have better things to do? Chloe is like not really, i already did my raiding for the week. Fury raises an eye brow and is like raiding? Chloe continues, ya with all the wars going on, the planets a disaster and everyone pretty much does and kills whatever and whoever they want. Fury, seeing this as a potential to get info abt the future, starts some more convo and is like if you keep openly speaking abt the future eventually one day ur gonna tell the wrong person. Chloe is like oop well sorry if i struggle with sharing too much iv never had to keep my knowledge a secret b4. Fury is like well u better start learning. Chloe is like it doesnt rly matter much what ik anyways, its not like the future i come from is urs. Fury is like what? Chloe is like there u go assuming things again, where im from Shield doesnt exist, neither does ur nazi hydra organization in ww2, so my future is obvi gonna be different than urs. Fury is like that doesnt matter bc ppl believe what they want to believe. Chloe is like finee ill try to keep my mouth shut.
-another scene where Chloe tps to fury and asks him how he lost his eye. Fury refuses to answer and Chloe tempts him by saying if you answer my question ill answer a question u have. Fury answers a flerken and Chloe asks what a flerken is and Fury says how he will explain the whole story after Chloe answers his question of what is her world like. Chloe explains how its hell and everyone is fighting and if u dont know how to shoot or fight ur gonna die. Fury then explains his story of captain marvel and goose.
-Chloe when she goes back to her world she ends up disappearing for 2 weeks and when she returns Fury is in a meeting with Hill and they ask where shes been (Chloe has been with them for a while now and this is directly before CAtWS), Chloe is like my home got raided so i had to relocate, and she says this all chill like its just a regular day. And then she asks whats up with them noting how they weren’t at Shield but what looked to be a safehouse. Hill is like can we trust her, Fury is like she already knows a bunch of my secrets anyways (half of the time Chloe teleported she ended up seeing Fury in the process of making safe houses, secret bases, contacting sources, etc). The pair then tell Chloe abt their suspicions of Hydra being active and potentially a couple of agents within shield are hydra but dont have enough evidence to do much abt it yet. Chloe is like dang that sucks but i mean yall should of expected it, moles and leaks get more common the larger something grows. The pair ignore her comment and Fury then warns her that it wont be safe to tp to the puck for a while. Chloe gets worried but agrees, saying how she can just restock her new base of operations.
-now into CAtWS and the avengers are in the story as well
-Chloe tps inside a truck with Nat and Steve. Steve almost crashes the truck and Nat pulls a gun, she like who tf r u and how did u get in here? Chloe puts her hands up and is like woah chill (plz note that she recognizes them from Fury telling her abt the Avengers) im Fury’s friend, where is he anyways? Steve and Nat share a look and Nat says hes dead. Chloe is all shocked and is like damn, cldve broken the news a bit lighter. Chloe then asks wheres the hockey puck? Steve is like to Nat i told u it was a hockey puck, and Nat is like shut it rogers. Nat is then like y, what does it do? Chloe is like it doesnt do anything, im the one that does stuff. Chloe continues asking did Fury give it to u or did u take it? Nat notes that her answer cld make this unknown person a friendly or a hostile and answers Hill gave it to me after Fury died, said to protect it and keep it on my person at all times. Chloe is like hmm guess that means Fury trusts you enough with my life. Nat finally lowers her gun and is like explain. Chloe then explains saying that hockey puck he gave you? Im attached to it and whenever i teleport here i teleport within a 10 foot radius of it, and now therefore you. Nat is just annoyed and Steve asks what do you mean teleport? Chloe is then like i can teleport between my world and urs.
-B4 more questions can get asked they arrive and Steve’s like we’re here. Chloe gets out and is like where r we? Nat eyes Chloe all warily and Steve’s like that building is in the wrong place and Chloe gets offended he ignored her and is like rude. They continue on and the duo explains what they r doing and Chloe explains how Fury told her abt how it will be dangerous to tp to the puck and to stay away for awhile. They like why didnt u stay away then? Chloe is like i did, for like a week.
-They find Zola and when they get the bogey Chloe grabs the duo and tps them to her world for safety (she found out awhile ago by accident that she can tp ppl to her world and back but the ppl from her own world she can’t tp to mcu). The duo like woah and dang she was telling the truth. They ended up in Chloe’s new home and Chloe fully explains how the hockey puck works to them and then at the end is like we shld prob return b4 shield or hydra or whatever starts to survey the area they exploded. Chloe then brings them back to mcu.
-((new idea: the hockey puck is like percy jacksons pen and whoever Chloe gives the hockey puck to they will now always have the puck and can never get rid of it. Like Fury one day just set the puck on his desk to leave and do something but when he leaves the room he finds it in his pocket and both he and Chloe are like huh and Fury does his own experiments and finds out that he is stuck with the hockey puck and unless he and Chloe agree to giving it to someone will it work and the puck stays with the person they gave it to. So when Fury “died” he gave it to Hill –plz note that Chloe agreed to the plan that if something were to happen that Hill and then Nat wld have it– who gave it to Nat. Who later figured out shes stuck with the hockey puck and the annoying person attached to it.))
-time skip to when at the bridge (we’re pretending the car was a van and bigger), when the car flips, Chloe tps back to her world for safety and tps back and helps fight and when everyone is abt to get captured Chloe tps away and waits a bit b4 going back to MCU
-Nats pov of the hydra agents searching her and find the hockey puck and think its some sort of device and put it in a box, Nat is abt to freak bc Fury told her to protect the puck at all costs when she gets thrown in the prisoner transfer vehicle and feels the hockey puck in her pocket. Nat connects the dots that the hockey puck will stay with her and she hopes that Chloe wont tp at that moment bc shed be killed
-time skip still Nats POV shes talking to Fury abt Chloe and Fury explains shes been with him for awhile now and tends to be quite annoying and even worse when ignored. Nats like well since ur alive cant u take the hockey puck back? Fury is like ohh noo its urs now, Nat is abt to argue but Fury commands her to keep the hockey puck and is like u cant get rid of it even if u tried, its tied to u now. Chloe then tps and appears and is like ur trying to get rid of me? Not cool. Nats then talking to Chloe and is like stay out of my way (shes all cold bc she just met her and cant get rid of the puck and therefore Chloe). Nats like got it? And Chloe tps away. Nat grumbles and is all annoyed.
-time skip Chloe POV to the end of CAtWS where Fury is saying goodbye and everyone goes their separate ways except Chloe follows Nat. Nats like dont u have something better to do and Chloe is like hah you sound like Fury. Nat goes to in her car and locks the doors so Chloe cant get in and she rolls down her window a little bit and Chloe is like hey lemme in. Nats like i have covers i need to rebuild without u following me and Chloe huffs and tps away
-Chloe tries a few more times to spend time with Nat and talk to her but everytime she does Nat just pushes Chloe away and tells her to leave her alone. Chloe keeps refusing to but always ends up tping back home. The second to last time Chloe tries to bond/talk with Nat Chloe appears with a rubiks cube all happy. Shes like look i found a rubiks cube, ik u have them but i havent seen one of these things since i was a kid, do you know how to solve it? Chloe then tries to hand the rubiks cube to Nat and nat snatches it from Chloe and sets it down harshly on the counter. Nat then says all angrily what did i say abt bothering me leave me alone. Chloe realizes that she caught Nat at a bad time and tps away leaving the unsolved rubiks cube on the counter
-The last time Chloe tries to bond with Nat, she tps to find Nat on a phone call with Fury (Chloe cant hear what Fury is saying). Nats like cant you just take the damn puck back? Fury is like no, shes ur responsibility now. Nats like im not a fucking babysitter. Furys says seriously how she doesnt need a babysitter, she needs a friend. Nats like im not her friend and never will be. Nat continues she comes here and annoys me almost everyday, how the hell am i supposed to get anything done and rebuild my covers? Fury is like ik u have trust issues and secrets that u want to bring to ur grave bc i was the same way nat, but you still need to give her a chance, she has nobody. He then hangs up and Nat huffs all angry. Chloe then tps away (when she teleports it doesnt make any sound so Nat didnt know she was there) and shes all sad bc all she has been trying to do is try to bond w Nat so she doesnt have to go back to her world
-time skip a month, Chloe has not teleported into the mcu at all during this time. Nat called Fury a couple more times, not bc she wanted to get him to take the hockey puck back but bc she has been worried abt Chloe. Fury at first reassured her that she has disappeared for long amts of time b4. Nat asked why and Fury explained the status of Chloe’s messed up apocalyptic world, he wanted to let Chloe explain it but Nat never gave her a chance to. Nat then feels bad abt pushing Chloe away and feels its her fault for Chloe disappearing this long. Nat then solves the rubiks cube that was left on the counter and puts it back in the same spot, now solved.
-Finally Chloe tps back to the mcu (Nat is in one of her new safe houses) and Nat tries to talk but Chloe interrupts her saying dont worry i wont be here long im just here for a med kit (Chloe says this as blood drips down her arm). Nat immediately goes and grabs the med kit from the bathroom and comes back. Chloe tries to grab it but Nat pulls it back a bit saying let me help. Chloe is abt to decline but sees the rubiks cubed on the counter solved and she resolves to give nat one more chance. Chloe then huffs and sits down on the couch saying fine. Nat then asks Chloe how she got the wound and Chloe responds asking a question of her own what happened to telling me to stay away? Nat doesnt respond feeling kind of ashamed but not showing it on her face. Chloe then responds to Nat’s question saying how she joined a rebellion group and they were in the middle of doing a group raiding party when they all got ambushed from another larger group, Chloe continues saying how she ended up finding a hiding place but not before getting injured from the ambush. Nat then offers for Chloe to stay for as long as she needs or at least until the fighting stops. Chloe is torn between leaving since Nat has been rly rude to her and staying where its safe, she then realizes that its the most practical decision to stay so she doesnt get killed. Chloe then says fine but doesnt say anything else.
-Nat is kinda sad that Chloe is being so cold to her but she understands why so leaves it be. She then finishes patching Chloe up and puts the med kit away. While Nat is doing that Chloe gets up from the couch and goes to the counter where the solved rubiks cube lay, she picks it up and thinks abt the encounter she had with Nat with the rubiks cube. Nat comes back to find Chloe at the counter holding the rubiks cube looking at it. Chloe then breaks the silence saying you solved it, why? Nat takes a second to answer but eventually says how shes sorry for pushing Chloe away and that she struggles with trusting new people especially people who were suddenly thrusted into her life attached to her with nat not having any say. Chloe then lightens up at that and sets the rubiks cube down saying its easier to trust someone if you get to know them first. Nat gives a very small smile and then says asking alright tell me more abt u. Chloe then shakes her head smirking and says no way, u go first since all i know abt u is what fury told me which is insanely little. Nat is a little hesitant at first but eventually decides to tell chloe more abt herself.
-by the time natasha finished she was then abt to ask chloe to tell more abt herself when chloes stomach rumbled. Nat then asks when the last time Chloe ate was. Chloe responds saying idk i had to give all my food to the group in order to join them. Nat then goes to the kitchen to make some boxed kraft mac n cheese. As Nat is making it they start making conversation again with Chloe telling Nat more abt her world and what she normally does and the group she joined
-A bunch of scenes with Natasha and Chloe bonding and sharing secrets (or more like Chloe finding out abt Nat’s secrets when shes busy trying to do something), except they actually bond and talk and Nat is no longer pushing Chloe away
-time skip a couple weeks
-while Chloe is in her world nat gets a msg from Tony inviting her to live in the tower (now officially avengers tower) with the rest of the avengers (they all accepted and now Nat is the last one left to move in). Natasha texts back accepting the offer. As Nat is packing her like 2 duffle bags one full of weapons and her laptop and the other with her clothes and stuff (all her personal items stay at the Bartons farm), Chloe pops up and is like whatchya doin and Nat explains that she’s moving to avengers tower. Chloe is like cool did u tell them that I’m coming with as well? Nat is like no one else knows abt u besides Steve and Clint. Chloe asks jokingly Steve didnt give away my existence yet? Nat says no somehow he was able to keep u a secret. Chloe then asks when Nat moves and Nat says tonight. Chloe then responds oki well I’ll be back sometime tmrw, Chloe then disappears
-tmrw comes, Nat is now living in the tower with the other avengers and has yet to tell any of them abt Chloe (she’s not planning to tell them), Chloe doesnt end up appearing that day. A few days go by without Chloe appearing and Nat starts to get a little worried but calms herself down saying how it’s normal for her to disappear and not return. Nat is chilling on the main avengers floor sitting on the couch (the hockey puck in her pocket, it never leaves her pocket) watching clint and Sam play Mario kart, Tony and Steve are arguing abt if pineapple belongs on pizza (they were going to have pizza for dinner), Bruce is in the midst of the pineapple on pizza argument as both Steve and Tony try to get him to agree with them
-suddenly in the midst of ^ Chloe pops up. Everyone jumps (not Natasha as she’s used to it) not expecting an intruder to pop out of nowhere. Steve quickly realizes it’s just Chloe and calms down, Clint remembers Nat telling him abt Chloe and notices that Nat’s not reaching for a weapon so assumes that this is Chloe and calms down. However everyone else is freaking out thinking this is some intruder that got into the tower. Chloe then turns to Nat saying hi Nat where’s the food I’m gonna steal some. Nat’s face is all exasperated and she points to the kitchen behind her (internally she’s excited to learn the Chloe’s alright but tired of Chloe’s antics bc Nat knows Chloe totally waited till the right moment to appear and scare the avengers). Chloe then jumps over the couch and heads the the kitchen. The avengers just watch as Chloe grabs an arm load of food says thanks and then disappears.
-the avengers then all look to Nat and Nat is thinking how annoyed she is that Chloe is leaving the explaining up to her. Nat then explains Chloe and the hockey puck and how Nat can never get rid of the hockey puck. The avengers ask some questions and Nat answers them. The last question being when will Chloe come back and Nat says how she comes and goes whenever she wants so no telling.
-time skip later that day when they’re having pizza for dinner. Chloe pops up again near Nat and is like ooh pizza and grabs a slice saying my world sucks we don’t have pizza. The avengers then start asking her some questions and Chloe answers. Tony then begins asking questions abt technology and certain movies in the future, Chloe realizes that Tony is trying to learn abt the future despite the major difference so Chloe just resolved to ignore those questions. Thankfully Steve or Nat or someone gets Tony to stop.
-a bunch of scenes with Chloe randomly popping up
-one of them Clint and Chloe are sparring (Nat taught her to fight better) when Chloe is abt to lose but tps away and then teleports back behind Clint and defeats him (Nat is nearby watching so she can do this). Clint calls her a cheater and Chloe disagrees saying all she did was use what was at her disposal which happened to be the ability to teleport away from losing. Clint’s like u wont always be able to do that in a fight. Chloe responds saying she can and has multiple times. Clint then looks to Nat asking for backup on how Chloe cheated but Nat knows how much Clint is a sore loser so agrees that Chloe is right
-another scene where the team is playing poker and Chloe pops up behind Sam and sees his cards and Tony’s (no one noticed her bc they were too focused except for Clint and Nat who were on the opposite side) and then disappears and reappears behind Nat. (Clint already folded and it was Steve, Tony and Sam left except Steve is a bad liar) Tony then offers for Chloe to join but Chloe declines politely and insists that she’ll just watch. She then sits down next to Nat and taps out on Nat’s thigh in Morse code Sam’s and Tony’s cards. Nat wins and Clint laughs his butt off.
-Chloe appears while all the avengers are once again chilling on the main common floor. She then makes her way to the kitchen and announces how she’s stealing some food. Tony is like ur not stealing it if u live here it’s ur food too. Chloe looks up shocked and not rly knowing how to process that info bc she always has to steal food so she just continues taking the food and right before she leaves Steve offers for her to spend dinner with them as he’s cooking. Chloe says yes loving the offer to be able to eat for free.
-dinner comes and Chloe joins them, while eating someone asks her the question of how her world got so fucked in the first place. Chloe says how she’ll answer but first explains thoroughly that this worlds future will be very different than hers as they are already extremely different. After they all agree she then answers explaining how it first started with Covid-19 and then after the global pandemic calmed down everyone was hesitant to interact with others always paranoid. This what truly started it all despite others saying differently. Then ww3 started (Steve is all upset and angry) due to everyone having nuclear bombs and other countries not wanting other people to have them. Chloe continued saying how the US side was abt to win when the 2nd civil war came due to ppl disagreeing with the war among other things. It was around that time that other civil wars broke out as well for different reasons. Once all the wars broke within a span of 5 years the world fell out of order. Rebellions were all over the place, same with the wars, and everyone started fending for themselves. Chloe continued explains how it’s different depending on where u live but it’s chaos everywhere. At the end the avengers are all horrified both for their own future and the fact Chloe lives in a world like that. Chloe ends her speech saying that’s why I come here all the time, bc my world kinda sucks. Someone (not Nat bc she already knows the reason) asks why she doesn’t just stay here and not go back to her destroyed world? Chloe responds saying i can’t bc I have a dog and I don’t want to leave him. They ask y can’t u bring him here? Chloe answers saying I cant. Chloe continues saying for some reason I can only bring ppl and animals to my world and back but I can’t do it the other way around. The avengers stop questioning her and leave it be there.
-another scene where it’s nighttime and Chloe appears when Nat is sleeping. Chloe goes for the door and opens it but accidentally wakes Nat up. Nat immediately reaches for her gun assuming it’s an enemy or something but realizes it’s just Chloe and puts the gun away. Nat is all tired and asks Chloe shldnt she be sleeping in her world? Chloe answers saying she cant. Nat realizes Chloe is extremely bothered by something and asks Chloe what’s wrong. Chloe doesnt answer and instead just asks if she can sleep on the couch. Nat notices Chloe won’t open up abt whatever it is right away and says sure.
-early morning comes and Nat goes out of her room to find Chloe still on the couch in a deep sleep. Nat then quietly grabs the blanket on the back of the couch and puts it over Chloe. Nats worried and wants to ask Chloe what happened again but doesnt want to wake her up so leaves. She then goes to the avengers private gym floor and starts punching the bag thinking abt Chloe. Jarvis then tells Nat that Clint is making breakfast and has invited her, Nat then goes up to breakfast and eats with the team. After breakfast she goes back to her floor and finds Chloe gone with the blanket still on the couch. Nat wants Chloe to come back but has no way to contact her. Nat then goes to Tony and asks him to create 2 phones that can connect between universes so Nat can communicate with Chloe. Tony agrees but says it will take awhile to figure out how to do it.
-eventually a week passed with no Chloe. The avengers were worried as so far Chloe had appeared almost every day. Natasha tried her best to reassure them that this was normal for her but they still didnt like it bc the avengers knew how bad Chloes world was. Nat kept saying she will return but in reality in her mind she knew something was wrong and the avengers being all worried made natasha more worried, she knew Chloe for some reason cldnt sleep in her world that night and seemed not only bothered by something but also extremely exhausted and tired. Due to the avengers being worried abt Chloe, Tony spent even more time working on the phones and Nat even let him experiment on the hockey puck, however it still teleported into her pocket when she was too far away so she had to be there when tony did his work, Nat didnt mind tho bc it made her feel hopeful.
-its been over another week now, officially 17 days since Chloe disappeared from the couch, Nat counted the days. Tony finally figured out how to connect the two phones to be able to communicate between the two universes, which is great except they had no way to give one of the phones to Chloe since she has yet to appear for them to give one to her.
-on the 18th day Chloe finally appears while all the avengers are watching a movie together in the common room floor. She rushes to the kitchen as the avengers shout at her but she doesnt answer. Chloe has blood stains on her clothes which are partially ripped, clearly something had happened but Chloe just rushes to grab some can of food to which she very quickly shoves in a backpack and then disappears once again, neither Tony or Nat able to have the chance to give Chloe a phone. The avengers are all worried but cant do anything abt it besides wait some more and make sure that when Chloe appears again they are able to make her stay long enough to make sure shes alright.
-the avengers waited -albiet not wanting to- for chloe to appear as nearly another week went by. It has now been 24 days since chloe disappeared from the couch and 6 days since chloe rushed to get food without saying a word to them. The avengers were all once again in the common room, the boys having a mario kart competition to get their minds off of chloe who they now very much considered a friend. And then Chloe appeared with no blood on her and no ripped clothes, she flopped down on the couch and sighed clearly done with whatever has been keeping her busy. The avengers instantly barge her with questions but Nat is able to get the phone into her hands and explain what it is before chloe can disappear again altho it looks like shes gonna stay for a bit Nat doesnt know for certain. Chloe takes the phone and says cool all excitedly. Nat and the other avengers are instantly relieved that Chloe seems to be back to her old self, however that doesnt stop the questions from coming her way. Chloe answers kinda vaguely saying the area she was living in became very dangerous within minutes and had to leave but traveling across land is also very dangerous so it took her weeks to find a new place to live and then she found a new base and had to restock it. The avengers try asking some more questions but chloe either doesnt answer them or when she does its very vague. The avengers eventually realize shes not going to share more abt what happened and leave it be. Tony explains the phones a bit more and they all just chill and relax now that they know chloe is okay
-eventually chloe disappeared again and despite everyone knowing she was fine they were also scared for her, Chloe then sent a pic of her dog to Nat who then showed it to everyone and the avengers then calmed down a bit. The next day came and it was nearing the time to sleep when Chloe appeared (nat is on her private floor). Nat asks shldnt u be getting ready to sleep as well? Chloe looks at her watch and is like oh its after 10pm here. Chloe then explains something new Nat never knew abt b4 that time in Chloes world pauses when shes here for some reason so the time doesnt exactly match up to nighttime in her world. Chloe continues saying thats why when she teleports here its at random times bc sometimes shes sleeping in her world. Nats like that makes sense and then asks why Chloe came here? Chloe responds recounting something she said abt how its easier to trust someone if you get to know them first when Nat was hesitant abt not pushing Chloe away anymore. Nat remembers the moment and gestures for Chloe to continue. Chloe is then like i didnt rly want to tell everyone exactly what happened while i was away bc they seem like they wld worry but i wanted to at least tell u so u knew why i had to sleep here instead of in my world.
-Chloe then tells nat how basically the rebellion group Chloe was apart of fell apart and everyone started fighting and killing each other, Chloe made friends in the group but everyone has trust issues and once the group fell apart Chloe’s friends started arguing with Chloe and Chloe knew they werent her friends anymore. Why Chloe couldnt sleep was bc the group knew where Chloes base was so when the group fell apart Chloe went to her base grabbed as many items she could fit in a backpack (eg the solved rubiks cube, her dogs worn and ripped stuffed shark toy, some weapons, and clothes. She didnt bring any food bc all her food was with the group as they all shared it) as well as her dog and ran. It wasnt safe to sleep in her would due to being out in the open but she was extremely exhausted so teleported to Nat and slept on the couch.
-Chloe continues saying after she got some good sleep she went back to her world to travel to a safer place except when traveling ur out in the open for anyone to attack you and steal ur stuff. Chloe was fine for awhile as she was alone b4 the group so she knew how to survive finding items and trading them for food and stuff. However while traveling a military group came across her, thankfully they were kind enough to not steal Chloes stuff and invited her to travel with them since they were headed in the same direction. While Chloe traveled with the military group they came across a huge camp of violent ppl who started attacking, Chloe ended up getting hurt and teleported to get food, once she got the food from the avengers she gave it to the violent group so they let her leave alone with her dog. It took her some more time but she eventually found a decent place for a new base quite a ways from the violent group and the military group’s fighting
-Chloe appears and flops on the couch saying my world sucks. The avengers are worried something bad happened and asks why. Chloe responds all pouty saying I tried to trade someone a fluffy blanket for a machine gun and they said no. Steve or someone is like that doesnt sound like a fair trade. Chloe’s like it wasnt but it wldve been nice if I was able to rip them off plus it was a really fluffy blanket. Tony gets all suspicious and asks did u steal that blanket from me? Chloe then teleports away so she doesn’t have to answer. Tony then says to the avengers she totally stole that blanket from me didnt she?
-Chloe appears holding a large device and says to the avengers all excitedly i stole a water generator! The avengers are like whats a water generator? Chloe doesnt answer and instead asks tony to give her a solar panel so she can use her water generator. Tony agrees only if she explains what she stole exactly was. Chloe is like fine but u cant steal the idea and i wont tell u exactly how it works but basically it takes the water vapor molecules in the atmosphere and turns them into liquid able to drink. Tony and Bruce are amazed and are like that small machine can do that and they ask how much it can make and some more questions. Chloe refuses to explain or hand them the boxed shaped machine and says u agreed to give me a solar panel. Tony is abt to complain and demand more answers to what the machine is but Steve tells tony to give her some solar panels bc a deals a deal. Tony then does so and Chloe disappears with her stuff and the avengers then make sure Tony doesnt try and create a water generator.
-Natasha had discovered a problem, she wanted to go to Bartons house for christmas but she couldnt exactly get rid of the hockey puck or tell Chloe not to teleport while she was away bc Chloe did not know that Clint had a family. So she resolved to not going to the Bartons farm this Christmas. Clint goes up to her and asks if Nat was going with him to his farm or traveling separately. Nat answers she wasnt going bc of Chloe. Clint looks at Nat and says how they can just tell Chloe abt his family so they can both celebrate christmas with the bartons. Nat is hesitant at first but eventually agrees knowing Chloe can keep secrets as she knows both Furys and Nats secrets and hasnt told anybody. She then texts chloe to teleport to her.
-Chloe then appears and Clint explains how he has a family and is inviting her to spend Christmas with Nat and his family. Chloe is hesitant bc she hasnt celebrated Christmas since she was a child in fact no one in her world celebrated any holidays anymore. Nat and Clint reassure her and they explain how even Nat didnt celebrate any holidays at all until she was introduced to Clints family. Chloe then agrees after they reassure her again saying she doesnt have to get anybody anything (they know how hard it is for Chloe to get stuff, and getting toys or anything that wasnt survival related was nearly impossible)
-Natasha and Clint arrived at the farm and before they went inside Nat texted Chloe they arrived and Chloe teleported to them. They then went inside and the kids immediately went to Nat and Clint, after they all got done saying hi Clint then introduced them properly to Chloe. Clint then tried to explain to the kids in as simple terms as he could that Chloe can disappear and reappear whenever she wants (he doesnt tell them where or how it works, b4 they arrived he told Laura everything abt her properly). The kids then think shes a magician and ask her to preform her magic, to which Chloe does and entertains the kids.
-Christmas eve comes and Laura and Clint are in the kitchen cooking, Nat tries to help them but they deny her help remembering Nat is a terrible cook, they all laugh abt it and talk. In the living room Chloe is multitasking drawing with Lila and playing connect four with Cooper.
-christmas day came, everyone woke up in the morning from the kids shouting at them to get out of bed so they can open presents. They all then made their way into the living room and Chloe watched in content as the kids opened their presents and then suddenly Clint handed her one. Chloe is all confused at the long box now in her lap. Clint tells her its hers and to open it, she then opens it to find a real bow with a quiver full of arrows. Chloes like cool and ty. Nat then gives her small box and smiles. Chloe opens it to find a framed photo of her and all the avengers eating pizza, it was from the night Chloe met the avengers for the second time. Chloe says thank you and continues watching the family interact with each other, thankful she died and got stuck to a hockey puck.
-time skip, months later
-Chloe appears once again this time interrupting the avengers having breakfast together. She shows up laying on the floor facing the ceiling saying my world sucks. The avengers are confused as to why she’s on the floor bc they’ve never seen her teleport while laying down b4 but don’t say anything abt it. Clint or someone is like why does it suck this time (the avenegrs dont immediately think anything is wrong bc last time Chloe said her world sucks she failed at trying to rip someone off)? Chloe responds all hallowy (like with no emotion in her voice) they shot my dog and then blew up my base (along with all of her stuff which included the Rubik’s cube, the fluffy blanket, her bow, and her picture frame). The avengers are all horrified and sad and pity on their faces. And then they see blood coming from Chloe’s back starting to pool beneath her. Nat shouts Chloe and then start to see her eyes close, she then rushes to her side and holds her face saying y didnt u say u were hurt?! Chloe then slowly opens her eyes and says all drowsy I’m tired as a lone tear goes down her face. Nat’s like fuck and tries to keep Chloe awake as she picks her up.
-Chloe wakes up with Nat by her side holding her hand sleeping with her head on Chloes bed. Chloe just watches Nat sleep as she thinks abt everything that had happened, the same enemy group that she came across a while back while traveling were expanding their territory and found Chloes base. She tried to talk to them and trade them like she did before but they didnt care, they werent looking necessarily to survive but to just destroy anything they came across. They blew up her base as Chloe tried talking to them and then shot and killed her dog and shot her. They then left leaving her for dead and Chloe teleported away. She remembered that she passed out from the blood loss and now woke up here in what looked like a med bay of some sort.
-Nat then woke up and saw that Chloe was awake who just looked sad. Before Nat could say anything Chloe spoke asking Can I stay here? At the tower? Nat knows what Chloe is saying bc the only reason she ever rly went back to her universe and lived there was bc she had a dog, but now that she didnt have her dog anymore she didnt have a reason to stay so she wanted to live at the tower. Nat then says yes and asks if chloe will be alright. Chloe eventually says yeah bc thats how her world works, people die, animals die, stuff gets blown up, everything gets destroyed eventually. Nat then says, not here, here u can have anything you want. Chloe gives a small smile.
-a couple days passed. Chloe got her own floor, her own kitchen full of food, her own blankets and clothes that werent ripped or stained in any way. She was still dealing with the pain of losing her stuff and dog but she slowly healed. She still teleported, not to stay in her universe but instead so she could just get around faster. One time she was laying in her bed when Jarvis alerted her that breakfast was ready, she then asked the AI if Nat was already there and when Jarvis said yes Chloe quickly teleported to her universe just to teleport back so she was at the table where breakfast was being served.
-a bunch of scenes with Chloe bonding with the avengers
-when Chloe’s kitchen eventually went empty with no more food, she never told anyone and made sure Jarvis didnt tell anyone either. While she appreciated the avengers making sure she always had everything she needed, Chloe still liked to get her own things and maybe create some mischief in the process. After she double checked with Jarvis that Nat was in the common room, Chloe teleported away and to her. The avengers were just about to ask what she was up to when she suddenly went to the kitchen and announced she was stealing some food. The avengers feared the worst that Chloe went back to living in her universe and were all alarmed. Chloe then just said how her kitchen on her floor ran out of food and the avengers were both relieved and annoyed at Chloes antics
-the avengers didnt know who came up with the idea first but someone decided that they should all go do something out of the tower together. Tony said how they should go to the beach, Steve said the museum, Clint said the zoo, Sam said they should all go skydiving, Bruce didnt want to go do something and said how they shld just watch a movie, Nat asked Chloe what she wants to do. Chloe answered saying i dont know what all does ur world have? The avengers are confused and Chloe explains that since she first discovered she could teleport she never really bothered to explore their world. The avengers are all shocked start making a list of all the places they’re going to bring Chloe (eg: zoo, beach, museum, amusement park, movie theater, national park, restaurant, concert, bowling, shopping, arcade, laser tag, some sort of sports game, wonders of the world)
-they first bring Chloe shopping in a mall to which Chloe doesnt actually buy anything with the money tony provided her with. Instead she watches the others shop and argue, one of the things they argue over is Tony saying online shopping is superior and another is them trying to get Steve to walk into build a bear and buy a bear with a captain america costume. At the end of their shopping spree everyone except Chloe bought something however she also finds out as they are leaving everyone also bought Chloe something bc they knew Chloe wouldnt get it for herself (Nat got her a rubiks cube, Clint got her a nerf bow, Tony got her a proper phone for this universe and added everyones contacts to it, Steve gave her the captain america bear, Bruce gave her a book on the wonders of the world, Sam gave her the avengers mini figurines)
-next they brought Chloe to an arcade which had the games, laser tag, and bowling all in one place. Tony ended up renting the entire place for just them to hang out, which Chloe thought was unnecessary but eventually left it be. They all walked in and ended up started a competition for who could get the most tickets. Steve said to Tony that he wasnt allowed to hack the machines and that went for everyone else as well, to which they all agreed. Unlike the mall, Chloe actually ended up participating and she figured out she should just watch what Clint does bc he seemed to be good at games. Clint immediately went to the coin card game and didnt bother to leave, Chloe noticed and went to another coin card game and played it for the entire time as well. Steve pretty much just played pacman and donkey kong the entire time bc they were the easiest for him to understand. Natasha went for the claw machines that picked up the tickets bc apparently she happened to be extremely good at those. Bruce played a bunch of random games, same with Tony and Sam. Once their time limit was up they counted their tickets to which Clint got first, Nat second, Chloe third, Tony and Sam tied, then Bruce, and Steve got last.
-they then went to play laser tag. Bruce sat out as the teams were Chloe, Nat, and Clint, who were team red and the other team was Tony, Sam, and Steve who were team blue. Team red ended up winning by an extreme long shot so they had to switch the teams around a bit so they were more fair. The new teams were Chloe, Tony, and Clint who were team red, and Nat, Steve, and Sam who were team blue. They ended up tying so they played again and team blue won.
-they then all decided they were started to get hungry from all the running around and went to the restaurant type deal near the bowling alley. After they all ordered and ate they then went to bowl. Chloe didnt know how to bowl so she watched and learned except she still didnt understand the point system so she asked and surprisingly it was Steve that explained it to her. Eventually the bowling also turned into a competition, this time they were paired in twos except Clint was by himself bc apparently he was a beast at bowling. Chloe and Nat were together, Tony and Bruce were a team, and Steve and Sam were also together. By the time the game finished Clint got first to which everyone thought he cheated somehow but didnt, Steve and Sam got second, Tony and Bruce got third, and Chloe and Nat got last. Tony took great pleasure in knowing he was better at something than Nat, however he then didnt feel as much pleasure when Nat admitted this was her first time bowling. After that they all then left the arcade and headed back to the tower.
-the next day they all went to the beach (bruce stayed behind so he could finish his lab project), which tony once again rented for just them, an entire section of the beach cut off for them. Chloe found it ridiculous, Nat explained that its just what tony does. They all then go to the beach and swim and make sand castles and play beach volleyball.
-after a couple days of adventuring around, they were all back at the tower. Everyone was chillaxing, Chloe allowing herself to feel peace and content. She still teleported just bc she could. She was on the couch playing mario kart with clint when Steve announced lunch was done. Everyone besides her and Clint made their way to the table and when Nat called them over Clint gave her the middle finger and kept playing. Chloe rolled her eyes and teleported, she couldve walked but she was lazy. When she teleported into her universe tho, something was wrong. She didnt teleport back right away bc she noticed there was a huge smoak cloud in the distance, not a small one made from the bombs that were constantly let off but one that seems miles long. Before she could decide to ignore it and teleport back to Nat and the table full of food, she felt an extreme hot flash of pain. Everything hurt like hell and suddenly everything was white. And then nothing, she couldnt see anything, she didnt feel anything.
-Back to Nat, she looked over at where Chloe teleported, Nat assumed she was going to teleport straight back to her but a few seconds went by and no chloe appeared. And then the hockey puck started burning, Nat swore and threw the hockey puck on the ground which was now steaming, the avengers all looking at it worriedly. They wondered what the fuck happened and where Chloe was, and then everything went the hockey puck started dissolving, and eventually where the hockey puck once laid on the floor, now there was nothing there.
-the avengers scrambled for an explanation, they asked Jarvis if Chloe was in the tower to which he answered no. Nat checked her pockets to see if somehow the hockey puck found its way back to Nat but it wasnt there, it was gone. She then grabbed the old phone used to communicate between universes and texted Chloe but when she sent the text all that came back was a message saying no service. Everyone got extremely worried
-Tony asked Jarvis what the hell happened to the hockey puck, Jarvis then answered saying it gave off an immense amount of energy and then the energy slowly disappeared and started going to a place in Atlanta Georgia. The avengers all looked at each other and asked if it was possible the hockey puck went to that location and maybe Chloe was there, they then asked Jarvis to give them the exact location of the energy signature to which he did. They all then went into the avengers jet and headed there. On the way there they all hypothesized what happened.
-back to chloe, she wakes up in an empty alley way with the only thing next to her is a singular dropped pen. Chloe then lays back down and thinks abt what happened. She eventually comes to the conclusion that she died once again and was now attached to a pen except she cldnt exactly teleport back to her world bc it was probably filled with nuclear gases in the atmosphere. She concluded that someone finally launched their nuclear bomb which made everyone else launch theirs. She sighed and just stayed laying on the ground in the alley
-the avengers arrive at the location and see Chloe laying down in an alleyway, they approach and are like wtf happened and r u okay? Chloe answers saying whoever said instant death was a thing lied bc it hurts like hell. The avengers are all confused and Chloe explains that how she first got attached to the hockey puck was that she died and when she teleported into her universe she got caught in the middle of everyone launching their nukes and died again. She then picks up the pen and throws it at nat and now im attached that fucking thing except theres rly no point bc i cant exactly teleport to my universe which is now filled with air i cant breathe. The avengers are all very shocked but Chloe keeps telling them that shes fine, eventually they make their way back to the tower.
-time passed and Chloe never teleported again, the pen stayed in Natasha’s pocket just like the hockey puck despite the fact that it was no longer needed but Nat cldnt get rid of it. Eventually things went back to semi-normal with Chloe hanging out with the Avengers. She never teleported back to her universe and when Tony offered to make something so she could breathe in her world Chloe declined saying she didnt want to return anyways. Some more time passed and Chloe ended up getting another dog which she named Kaya. She was a good dog and she stayed by Chloes side wherever she went and Chloe never let her out of her sight. Natasha was the one who actually got her the puppy, she didnt even have to convince Tony to let her stay in the tower bc he was on board right away. And every now again Chloe would still go into the common room kitchen and announce she was stealing some food, to which the avengers just smiled.
