Chapter Text

Izuku kicked a pebble to the side as he entered the creepy-looking warehouse. If I get caught, I'll just blame it on Kacchan, he thought absently. The building he had just entered was the meeting place for the League Of Villains. They were apparently up for new recruits, so Izuku had decided to take them up on their offer.

He felt like he had plenty of reason to be a villain at this point. While being bullied by his childhood best friend (and his entire school) for a decade, he had originally had one lifeline. “All Might would believe in me,” he had thought. It turned out All Might didn't believe in him. No one did. So he just didn't care anymore.

“Hello?” Izuku asked into the darkness of the building.

“Welcome,” a voice said. Out of the darkness walked a boy with spiky red hair, and– “Kacchan?!” Izuku asked in shock. Izuku's face soured into a glare.

“You can't let this guy in,” Bakugo said to the red-haired boy quickly. “He doesn't even have a quirk!”

The red haired boy shook his head. “It doesn't matter if he has a quirk. It matters if he's manly enough to join us. Also, I'm assuming you two know each other somehow?”

“You could say that,” Izuku said. His voice had an edge to it that could have cut diamonds.

“Well, I'm not about to pry into that,” the boy said.

“I know how we'll test him,” Bakugo said with a smirk. “We could make him fight all of us.”

The redhead looked startled but agreed.

“All of you?” Izuku asked in confusion. “I only see two of–” Suddenly, a group of about eighteen teenagers walked out of the shadows.

“I guess there's a lot of wannabe villains these days,” a boy with yellow hair said.

“I prefer the term ‘darkness vigilante’, a boy with a bird head corrected.

      The yellow-haired boy shrugged. “Whatever.”

“I'll start!” A girl with pink skin said, lunging towards him and flinging acid at him. Izuku deftly dodged out of the way quickly. He had done some training. It was meant to be for hero work originally, but plans changed.

The girl lunged at him again, and he sidestepped. He grabbed her arm and threw her onto the ground. “Not bad,” she said with a laugh, “But let's see how well you do while floating in the air. Uraraka!” She yelled.

Uraraka ran forward, reaching towards Izuku. He dodged once again. “You're quick,” Uraraka said with a smile on her face. Then she reached forward and Izuku didn't manage to dodge this time. Now he was suspended a few feet above the ground.

He got his bearings and just floated there. Then a sparkly laser shot at him, and he just barely managed to maneuver out of the way.

“He's lasted plenty long enough,” a girl with purple hair said. “This guy's the real deal.”

The redhead nodded. “You seem like the manly type,” he complimented Izuku.

Izuku smiled. “Let's show him our base!” An invisible girl said excitedly.

A boy with glasses knocked a pattern on a part of the concrete ground. A mechanical door slowly swung open, and a girl with pink dreadlocks popped hallway out of it. “Hi!” She said excitedly. “Come on in! Maybe I can show you the babies I'm cooking up!” She began rambling about some invention, and climbed back down the ladder into the underground base.

Inside of the base, it was surprisingly cozy. A soft carpet covered the floor and grey velvet couches were scattered across the room.

“This is our living room,” a boy with tape dispenser elbows said. “Down that hallway is the boys rooms, that way is the girls, bathrooms are down the hall to the left, plus some other stuff I can show you later.

“This place seems nice,” Izuku said.

“How about we can all introduce ourselves to the new recruit?” Uraraka asked.

“What, like this is kindergarten?!” Bakugo asked.

“Ignore him, he's always like that,” Uraraka said cheerfully.

    “I know,” Izuku mumbled.

“I'm Ochaco Uraraka!” Uraraka said happily. The rest of the group introduced themselves in similar fashion.

“This isn't all of us,” Kirishima said. “There are a couple more hiding out in other spots, but this is our main group.”

“I have to say, I'm curious. Why did you choose to join us?” Yaoyorozu asked.

“Well,” Izuku began, “I was bullied for over a decade by basically every single person I knew, plus this guy–” he jerked his head towards Bakugo– “And then All Might told me I couldn't be a hero because I don't have a quirk.”

“Dang,” Kaminari said. “All Might himself? Talk about rough. Being a hero's probably not all it's cracked up to be anyway,” he comforted.

“Plus, villain girls are cuter,” Mineta supplied.

“Shut up,” Mina said. Mineta immediately took a step back and stopped talking.

“I'll show you the arcade,” Kirishima offered.

“You guys have an arcade?” Izuku asked in awe.

“I made it! I can make basically anything,” Hatsume said happily. “Speaking of which, I made a really cool bomb. You guys wanna see it?”

     “Heck yeah,” Sero said.

     “I'm intrigued,” Todoroki said.

"Show it to me now!" Hagakure yelled.

Izuku stared. That's concerning, he thought.
