The room the two of them share is too small for two people. It is somehow colder than most of Winterfell and perhaps the most isolated room regularly in use. It is a humiliation for both of them, especially in how they only provide a single bed for the two of them.
Theon doesn’t mind Jon, he really doesn’t, but that doesn’t mean that he wants to share such close quarters with him, and certainly not when he knows what it means. He’s lesser now. He was the son of a ruling house, he was someone with a claim to something greater than himself, and now, he’s a hostage, has been for near ten years now, and reduced to the same status as Lord Stark’s bastard.
That’s what he is here. Someone on a par to a bastard given leniency. He hates them. He hates Jon.
