Chapter Text
Yin and Yang believed that their time on season 3 had really helped them see from each other's point of view, and understand each other much more. However, the age-old debate topic still re-emerges every time they need a drink.
“Water!”
“Dr Fizz!”
“Water!”
“Dr Fizz!”
“WATER!”
“DR FIZZ!”
“WATER!”
These petty arguments could go on for hours if they were left unattended. This was not one of those times, as (for the sake of everyone’s hearing) OJ interrupted them.
“Hey Yin-Yang, I think I have a solution to your ‘Water vs Dr Fizz’ arguments,” OJ said, interjecting before Yang could respond to Yin.
“DR FI- ok, I’m listening.”
“Follow me.”
The two of them followed OJ, answering his questions while walking.
“So, Yin. Why do you prefer water over Dr Fizz?” asked OJ.
“It’s the healthier option, we need to keep our body pure!”
“And Yang, why do you like Dr Fizz?”
“It has FLAVOUR!” Yang yelled passionately, “And I like the bubbles.”
“Alright,” OJ said as they walked into the kitchen, where Yin noticed a new appliance on the counter with a packet of brown powder next to it.
“What’s that?”
“It’s a carbonated water maker,” OJ replied, grabbing a bottle of water out of the fridge, “Can you get a cup and straw?”
OJ then screwed the bottle into the ‘carbonated water maker’, and pulled the lever, causing the machine to make a strange sound. Yin-Yang got the cup and a straw and placed them on the table, watching as OJ poured the now-fizzy water into the cup.
“Does carbonated mean fizzy?”
“Of course it does Yang, what did you think it meant?” Yin replied, causing Yang to get a little embarrassed.
“Alright, now I want you to pour this into the water, then stir it with the straw until the powder dissolves," OJ explained while opening a packet of the brown powder with a pair of scissors.
Yin-Yang followed OJ’s instructions, taking the packet and emptying the contents into the cup of water. Then Yang took over with the stirring, surprisingly not spilling anything with how aggressively he stirred, until they were done. The water was now a dark-brown colour. Yin picked up the drink to look at it closer, to which Yang snatched it from him and chugged the entire cup. Their eyes widened in shock as the drink, which was once water, now tasted exactly like Dr Fizz.
“Do you like it? Because I can get Mephone to generate some more flavouring if you wa-”
OJ couldn’t even finish his sentence before Yin-Yang ran out of the hotel shockingly fast, presumably to ask Mephone 4 for more of the flavour packets themselves. But they weren’t arguing anymore, so that's nice.
