Work Text:
My name is Kokomi Teruhashi, otherwise known as the perfect pretty girl.
Although, you wouldn't need another name to recognise me by anyway. Everybody knows my name.
Who wouldn't? After all, I get greeted everyday; strangers, underclassmen, classmates, teachers, neighbours, practically everyone that happens to recognise my presence! (Not like it's possible to overlook it).
Well it shouldn't be possible, right?
So why is it that this Saiki Kusuo does?
I have no doubts about my perfection. After all, i'm fully aware of it.. not that i'd openly boast about it though, where's the perfection then?
In my beliefs, perfection means to be simultaneously:
— Beautiful
— Kind
— Too humble to acknowledge those traits about myself
All three of which i'm great at. In fact, I could be considered the epitome of those three things.
As I walk past, the expected reaction should be 'oh wow' — not a person walking amongst this earth is exempt from that unspoken law.
Every cute 'accidental' glance or gesture should result in a gasp or reaction of some sort.
Hence, what is it that grants Saiki immunity to this law?
Never once has he been fazed by me, not even if I sigh. These methods seem to persuade others with such ease, so why him? Why is he the exception?
There was one occurance last year when Saiki had stared at me for a prolonged period quite intensely, unlike anything he's ever done before.
And yes, he may have occasionally done a few acts of kindness for me,
But has he ever gasped? Taken a second glance? Get flustered over my presence?
What even is it that makes this Saiki Kusuo so special? Hes so... Average!
Shouldn't it be a blessing for him to have the prettiest girl he'd ever see in his life voluntarily wanting to spend time with him, let alone stepping foot into his presence?
Why is he so adamant about admiring me?
