An utterly ridiculous revelation

Summary:

Chloé comes to the most ridiculous revelation of her life. Not that she finds muscular women attractive, she already knew that from Ladybug, but that she finds Marinette Dupain-Cheng attractive. Like full on blazing hot?!

Notes:

Hi so I always like it when Marinette or Ladybug is described as muscular 'cause it just doesn't make sense to me that Chat Noir would become incredibly muscular from hero work and LB wouldn't. (Obviously he does fencing but in most fics his muscles are explained by his hero work, meanwhile LB still had noodle arms, using just a yo-yo to pull your entire bodyweight actually requires more strength than trying to balance on a self-extending baton (no offense to Chat, it's still hard work (the actual fighting)) so I think LB would at least have abs and strong arms (and probably strong legs from all the running and jumping) so yeah, thx for listening to my speech about muscular Mari.)

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Oh god

Oh god

Oh god oh god oh god

Oh no

Chloé, Chloé freaking Bourgeois, was attracted to Marinette Dupain-fucking-Cheng. The baker girl.

The girl whose pigtails she wanted to pull on every single day. The girl whose smile she wanted to wipe off her face every single day. And now the girl whose lips she wanted to kiss until they were swollen and redder than tomato head’s (Nathaniel whatshisname) goddamn fucking hair.

And Chloé hated it.

Why would she, the mayor’s daughter, the Queen Bee, want to kiss some peasant girl’s lips?!

It didn’t make sense.

It didn’t make any sense.

Chloé pulled down her big sun hat.
For some stupid reason, Dupain-Cheng had decided to organize a beach day for the entire class. (Probably to seduce Adrikins or something..) And although Chloé didn’t initially want to go, she was convinced when Adrikins had said he would attend.
She wasn’t about to throw his shirtless self to the wolves, those thirsty fucking fans of his. And she sure as hell wasn’t going to let Dupain-Cheng anywhere near him. (Although she was now questioning her reasoning behind that motivation. Why did she not want them to get together?)

And right now, the weirdly attractive baker girl was standing just a couple meters away from her.

It wasn’t even Chloé’s fault she looked at Dupain-Cheng that way, how could she not? Especially when the klutz was wearing the cutest and frilliest pink bikini this world had ever seen. It hugged her curves just as well as Ladybug’s superhero suit did for her and it revealed…

Oh god

Her abs. Her abs.

Dupain-Cheng, Dupain-fucking-Cheng, had.. abs. And muscular arms and legs.

There’s no way she got those just from being a baker’s daughter. Her mother didn’t have those and as far as Chloé was aware, she didn’t lift much.

So how in the living hell did she get so muscular?! She was basically as muscular as Ladybug, the savior of Paris, the one that fought for the sake of the city of love every single day (because Hawkmoth just refused to give her a break..).

And.. and the worst part was that.. that that was Chloé’s exact type..!

How dared Marinette Dupain-Cheng become Chloé’s type?! How dared she make the illustrious bee-themed hero of Paris attracted to a mere baker girl?!

Her heart (and hormones..) was reserved just for Ladybug!! (Oh, and Adrikins..! She nearly forgot about him. Wait, was she even attracted to him..?)

And now Dupain-Cheng dared to show off her perfectly toned and shaped abs, her scrumptious arms that just begged to be flexed, her full legs that were wishing for a massage.

The blonde pulled down her sun hat further, she couldn’t bring up the self restraint to fully cover her eyes, or at least look away from the attractive girl before her, but she could at least pretend not to look at those chiseled abs. Those muscles…
Those goddamn muscles…

Oh god

“Hey, Chlo, you good?”
A familiar voice called out to the mayor’s daughter.

“Oh hey Adrikins..”
Chloé said less enthusiastically than she usually did, her voice slightly muffled by the white sun hat still pulled over her face.

She heard footsteps approach her and her beach chair. A plastic white chair that was much too hard for the rich girl’s taste. It was barely softened by a towel, but a hard beach chair was the least of her worries, her desire to touch those hard abs was much more important.

“Chlo? You look kind of out of it? Is it the sun?” (No it’s those abs.)

How sweet. Her dear childhood friend remembered her supposed hatred for the sun. Although that was just an excuse she had made up when she had started wearing her mother’s sunglasses on her head. She hadn’t wanted to admit she had wanted to look like her mother. Imitation was the greatest form of flattery after all. So she had just made up some hatred for the sun or something, she doesn’t remember the exact words she had said but he had, of course, wholeheartedly believed her excuse.

“I’m fineeeee…..” Chloé reluctantly replied.

Ugh.

“Have you ever thought of Dupain-Cheng as…” ugh “..attractive..?”

Nope. Nope.

She immediately regretted asking. Either he was going to ridicule her for her tastes or he was going to gush about all the things he liked about the baker girl.

“M-Marinette?! Well.. she.. well I guess she is.. she’s cute, not to mention beautiful and whenever she” bla bla bla.

It was the latter. Definitely the better option of the two but still annoying. Chloé immediately tuned out of their conversation, ignoring whatever he had to say about the muscular teenage girl (who she only now noticed wasn’t wearing her hair in pigtails?! Had she really been so distracted by her abs she didn’t notice the extreme hairstyle change?!). She had learned to do it whenever he started one of his rants about anything other than Ladybug (that was the only topic she was willing to listen to.)

She was almost too distracted to notice the absurdly hot bluenette run towards the two of them. She hadn’t been standing too far away. Close enough for Chloé to be able to admire the beautiful display of feminine strength. But she still chose to run instead of walk to the two blondes.
Her muscular right arm waving through the air to greet the two richest people in class, not at all intimidated by their high standing in society. And why would she be? She could crush the two of them easily with those arms, and thighs. Oh wow she hadn’t noticed those thighs yet. Chloé kind of wanted Dupain-Cheng to crush her with those-
No.

No.

She was still stupid little Dupain-Cheng, just because she was insanely hot now didn’t mean she wasn’t still that dumb little baker girl. (Although she sure didn’t look the same she did a year or two ago.. when was the last time Chloé had seen her bare arms? Or bare stomach.. bare legs… abs.. biceps.. thighs…)

“Hi Adrien! Chloé..” Wow. Didn’t have to say her name with such disappointment. Chloé would like to say she wasn’t happy to see Dupain-Cheng either, but that would be a lie. She was very happy to see her today.

“M-Mari..! Hi!!” Adrikins stuttered. Why was he so embarrassed? Oh right, he was in the middle of a rant on Dupain-Cheng’s beauty. Blegh.

“Hello Dupain-Cheng.” She tried to reply with at least some disdain in her voice but that might have come out completely differently than she had intended. Not like she knew what she was even saying anymore, she was completely absorbed in those little dense packets of muscle in front of her.
Oh wow those abs looked even better up close.
No.
No.
Stop.
Stop, Chloé Bourgeois.

“So are you coming?” A hand reached out to her just as the words hit Chloé’s ears. Coming to what? Were they saying something?

“Huh?” She could only say in return, still looking at the pale hand in front of her. The hand that was connected to a very muscular arm.

“Swimming? We are at the beach after all.” The bluenette explained.

Wordlessly, Chloé took the hand, which was admittedly much softer than she had expected from someone so defined.

They slowly stumbled towards the clear blue sea that took over the horizon. Marinette looked back, striking Chloé with a bright smile, one that would have previously disgusted Chloé.. but now..

Oh..

She wasn’t done finding Dupain-Cheng attractive, was she?

Notes:

I will soon continue posting chapters for A Pigeon’s Point of View but I just had ideas for other fics so I wanted to write those down first, so here’s a lesbian oneshot. Hope you liked it!
Also Chloé doesn’t mind being gay here, she just minds the fact that she’s attracted to Marinette of all people.
Being attracted to Ladybug? Cool.
Being attracted to baker girl? Ridiculous, utterly ridiculous.
