"Rose," Minute calls out, worried, seeing his teammate on the ground, very injured, with cuts and scrapes, alongside, you know, a literal stab wound in her shoulder.
Who would be able to sneak up on her? Schpood maybe, or Saps, I don’t know. Minute thinks, letting his emotions get the better of him; he causes anything living within a large area around him to flake into black dust, which included the alleyway underneath him, where Ro was, who is part of the city's main superhero group and was helping them
Rose and Minute frequently work with the Lifesteal group without being official members. This was one of those cases they were doing a stake out at a state crew warehouse. The state crew are a group of some of the most notorious villains in the city lead by Schpood and Saps. but today they accidently while on the stakeout got the attention of the groups main engineer Gotoga or just toga and their informant Thomas. Thomas being the reason why they were doing the stake out in the first place, As they had recently caught him giving information to Sap’s second in command Flux. turns out Thomas who had been serving as the Assistant to the Lifesteal groups secretary Pili and had been feeding flux information on them for months.
"Wait, Ro," minute says, realizing what just happened
"Ro," Minute says again, worry coming through his voice
"Oh my god, I killed him," Minute says, looking around and seeing a pile of black dust in the alleyway where Ro was
"Uhh," Minute says, quickly climbing down the ladder leading up to the roof where he was
He then grabs the un consiouse rose and runs away from the scene before anyone else knows what happened
But he does happen to see that he has someone following him; that someone being Thomas
One minute is a bit away from the scene; he finally takes a moment and starts to patch up Rose, or, well hannahs wounds, and only once he finishes does he acknowledge the person that was following him
"Thomas, what do you want with us?" Minute asked
"Oh, nothing much. I just wanted to ask if you thought about my offer from a few years ago anymore."

minute and hannah were still brand new vigilantes and hadn’t had any run-ins with any of the major villains until today
"Flux, what do we do?" Thomas said
"I didn’t know new vigilantes were patrolling this area," Flux said, countering one of Rose's vines with his stone spikes.
"Rotation, we need an extraction. We got cornered by some vigilantes," Flux said into an earpiece.
"Seriously, you want to retreat? That's crazy. Who are they? Do you know? Because I don’t think there are any vigilantes known to be patrolling that area. They must be new." Rotation said, crackling through the earpiece.
"Before we go, what are your names?" Flux asks
"Rose," the female vigilante said
"And Minute," the male vigilante said
"Alright, good to know. Bye-bye, see you later," Flux said as a portal appeared behind them, and they both dipped through, with Thomas giving minute a small piece of paper before leaving.

"You really think we would join you, Thomas? The answer is still no," minute said to Thomas
"Well, you are on the run now. I figured that would have helped you decide," Thomas replied
"Why the hell do you think we are on the run?" Minute says
"Uh, you just killed one of the lifesteal group's members. I don’t think they will be thrilled with that once it gets told to them, you know." Thomas said
"Like, you will tell them," Minute says
"Oh, I very much know I was caught. Trust me, I know, but that doesn’t mean I can’t send an anonymous tip to them about it," Thomas said
"You wouldn’t," Minute said, "and I bet once they learn why, they would understand, maybe"
"nah your screwed, definitely screwed," Thomas said
"Oh, shut up, Thomas," Minute said, "screw off; we don’t want to join your little group."
"Eh, it will grow on you, trust me," Thomas said, and then left
minute then takes hannah home back to their house to allow her to rest and goes to get some rest himself
The next day
Minute wakes up to 16 miss calls from the various lifesteal members, 4 from Pangi, 5 from Princezam, and 5 more calls from Jojo, and 1 call from Clown, the boss who is the only one that left a voice message. Minute also has 54 missed messages from various other Heros him and hannah have worked with that want to know what happened last night.
Minute decides to listen to Clown's voice message first
Hey, Minute, whenever you get this, ignore the calls and other messages you got. Please give me a call back. I know what happened last night. You aren’t in trouble; I have some questions about how it happened. Yes, I do mean everything.
"Ha, fuck, you, Thomas. They don’t care I told you." Minute then gives Clown a call
"Who is it?" Clown says the minute he picks up his phone.
"Hey, Clown," Minute says
"Oh, right. Minute: Hi, hang on, let me get to a more private place so we can properly talk," Clown says
A few minutes later, Clown speaks again.
"ok, so firstly, how is Rose?" Clown said
"She’s ok; she’s still asleep, though," Minute said
"So you had a run-in with Saps and Flux last night. Is that what happened?" Clown asked
"And Schpood, but that's a whole other thing. But also," Minute replied
"Yeah, you don’t have to say it. I know, it was an accident, right? You didn’t mean to, right"
"yeah, it was an accident i saw rose being pinned down by who i did find out was Saps, seeing her there all helpless and stuff kind of broke me i couldn’t handle my emotions much for a bit and i didn’t know Ro was there and i just let it all out and then when i realized what i did i freaked out and grabbed rose and ran." minute said
"You had a conversation with Thomas too, right?" Clown asked
"Oh, you know that too? Because yeah, I did," Minute said
"Yeah, turns out Leek was nearby and saw you two talking. What did he say to you?" Clown asked.
"He just asked me if I wanted to join them after what just happened." Minute answered.
"Figures he would try that again. You didn’t tell him anything, right?" Clown said
"Nope, basically told him to fuck off," Minute said.
"Alright, thank you so much for telling me all of this," Clown said
"No problem, Clown," Minute answered
"You're still cool with us?" Minute asked
"Of course," Clown said
"You know, one of these days, if you two ever feel so inclined, you should join our group and become full-fledged heroes; it might be good for both of you," Clown asked.
Minute chuckles. "You have asked us that how many times"
"Yeah, I know, but still the offer stands," Clown said
