I'm more so forcing myself to do this because holy procrastination I've never procrastinated longer than I ever have in these past few months. But I'm genuinely gonna try and write shit this time because I'm sick of not keeping my word.

Anyways, have fun with the JUICY ass new lore, babes <333

Notes:

A short summary + lore addon of my first lore post. Enjoy! :D

Chapter Text

Okay, so. As I mentioned in the previous lore drop, Xeria is a universe that is made up of an orbit. In the center of the orbit lies two core realms, Heaven and Hell, and they're being orbited by all the other realms. In each realm, there lies a dormant ancient, a powerful, immortal, colossal creature that takes care of its realm and keeps it and everyone in it alive. Lucifer (the ancient of Heaven) and Nova (the ancient of Hell), were twins that were born into the Void, an empty, desolate space where no living creature can survive.

Off track a little, but basically, when an ancient is brought into being, they're automatically encapsuled by a realm in which they grow in, and the realm grows with them, becoming more stable as the ancient grows older and more capable of controlling the realm. As Lucifer and Nova grew older, thousands and thousands of centuries later, more and more ancients and their realms began to appear, naturally orbiting around the two largest and alpha realms, Heaven and Hell. Every century, a new ancient is born, and with it, a unique new realm with unique new beings. So how all this contributes to the multiverse and shit, well.. it doesn't! Xeria is its own multiverse, in a way, and I'm totally not making this up on the spot because I can't explain it any other way.

(Basically the TSAMS universe all takes place in one of the realms, is how I'm pathetically going to explain how they're able to meet)

Each realm has its own unique species of inhabitants, and Heaven and Hell, of course, are home to Celestials and Demons. I still haven't really gotten everything figured out for Hell, like, how it's structured, how the social pyramid works, and all that shit, but basically for Heaven, there's three ranks of Celestials: seraphims, the royal family, cherubims, the caretakers and warriors, and archangels, the peasants/servants of the royal family.

How the whole war started between Heaven and Hell is a long story, but to summarize, Nova was jealous of how much Heaven thrived in its light, and how loved it was, so of course, it took action and convinced Lux to let it possess him, in return promising him the power and recognition he so desired. Through Lux, Nova then possessed Nyx, and then went on a murder spree, killing and eating Celestials to gain their light. Nova was able to consume Queen Lucille, their mother, before Nyx (still possessed by Nova) and Lux were banished to Hell by an enraged King Aether and became demons. Possessed Nyx then overthrew the king of Hell, Erubus, and took the throne for herself. (To make it less confusing I'm just gonna use Nyx and her pronouns instead of referring to Nova constantly, since she was possessed for pretty much the entirety of the story). Nyx knew that now that she was queen, she could use it to her advantage and start a war against Heaven, consuming more and more light and making Hell grow and grow.

~CHARACTER LORE~

Angelis ~

Angel is the youngest in the royal family, and the golden child. Appearance-wise, he has gold, wavy, medium-length hair that barely goes past his shoulders, large round glasses, gold sclera with blue irises, and four gold wings (two on his back and two on his hips). His light is extremely powerful, despite him being the youngest, which obviously, his older brothers tease and envy him for. He hates that everyone treats him like the golden child he is, and he feels guilty every time everyone praises him because he hates the power he was born with.

Artemis ~

Arty is the oldest of the siblings, and as I mentioned in the original lore chapter, I always imagined him looking similar to Alexander Hamilton but with dark blue hair and gold eyes with dark blue sclera instead. His fiancée is named Oriana, a female archangel who's been close with him since childhood.

Lux ~

He felt that he was out of place in Heaven because he was the runt of the litter and inherited the least light, meaning that he didn't have any wings or abilities. He felt a strong detest towards Angel because he was the "golden child", the most powerful, and he could do no wrong, while he was the "curse" of the family, hated by his father and distanced from his mother and siblings because he struck chaos and misfortune wherever he went. He wanted to be recognized instead of pushed away like a vermin, and he was so tired of being useless and powerless, so he turned to the last straw and made a deal with an equally desperate Nova, who was at the time possessing another celestial.

Eris ~

He has short, aqua hair with gold rings for irises, usually wears a black sleeveless turtleneck with the neck attached to a large gold collar around his neck, and his pupils are the same color as his sclera (sky blue). Uhh I don't really know what else to put for Eris, I haven't looked too much into him and his personality, but he's very chill and serious, though he irritates easily.

Nyx ~

Nyx was adopted by the royal family as an infant, after her and her twin sister Hexara were separated shortly after birth, both Cherubims. She was kind, enthusiastic, and sweet, loved by her mother, though her father was wary of her for how eager she was to do everything and anything that anyone asked her, and do anything to stay noticed, afraid that it would eventually harm her, and it did. She felt as if her power wasn't enough compared to Angel's (she was a cherubim, so her powers are naturally weaker than the rest of her family, who are all seraphims) and she strove to get stronger so her parents would love her as much as they loved Angel.
