Chapter Text
Let's do some world building.
In this universe, there is a 5% population of people who have the Switch Gene but is commonly known as the Carrier gene. This gene is responsible for allowing both genders to either have the ability to have kids or produce the sperm to give kids.
Meaning some males are able to carry and some females can produce sperm. With that being said, this comes with a disadvantage. People who have this gene are 60% less likely to actually produce due to having both reproductive systems which can cause an imbalance of hormones within the body.
Men are 50% more likely to shoot blanks. Meaning not producing enough sperm to be able to impregnate another person.
Women are 50% less likely to release an egg before their period. Sperm is only released when something is inserted through their vag. Should another male who has this gene engage in sexual acts with them, the male or female could end up pregnant or both.
Societal view on Switch Gene
While this gene has existed for many years, people don't really care as much. However, exposing that you do carry this gene does make a person the topic of the room or an outlier.
In the past 100 years, males have not engaged in much carrying since they lack the proper exit for the baby which means babies are born via c-section. In the past 50 years, due to more research and advance technological development, males with this gene have been able to successfully deliver and survive.
Women can only impregnate other males or females with this gene. Men can become pregnant regardless if the other person has the gene.
Women who have this gene may experience:
- higher level of testosterone compared to the average female
- Delayed puberty but seeing most changes in late teens. This is mainly in regard to physical attributes.
- Shorter periods and some cases going 1-2 months without functioning period which potentially affects the release of an egg.
- Women who engage with other women in sexual acts can result in either female becoming pregnant only if both have the gene
Males who have this gene may experience:
- Higher level of estrogen compared to most males however, not high enough to flag illnesses
- Puberty takes a slight change compared to average male. Widening of the hips, some males experience puffiness in the nipple/areola during early puberty which eventually becomes normal towards the end of teen years.
- While males do not have periods, the body flushes out its uterus lining through its lower reproductive tract which is connected through the anus . Males who experience this phenomenon very often confuse it for illness but, eventually learn the difference between their "monthly shed" and illness
- Males experience their menstruation typically happens once every month or even go up to two months without a menstruation.
I think that should be good .
I honestly don't know too much about soccer so I'm going based on research and what I have seen. Inaccuracies may occur and please correct me ‼️
