Work Text:
The clock already hit the start of the new day. It was the hour when the night was the darkest, when most people were lying in their beds and dreaming themselves away to another world. The inhabitants of the Milverton Residence were sleeping like that, only two people were awake. Two men, one of them holding the other strongly in his arms, ready to protect him from anything, while they quietly discussed their future.
The two men were the media mogul Charles Augustus Milverton, and his secretary, Ruskin. Ruskin kept his employer in his embrace while Milverton laid his head down on Ruskin's chest and his mind was restlessly brainstorming the thoughts. Ruskin's fingers gently pampered him, playing with his curly hair. Milverton rewarded him with a smirk when he looked up and continued what they were talking about.
"So in the worst case scenario, if we need to leave this country forever and start a new life somewhere else, we will go to New York." He summarized it. "We will soon make an account there in the bank under a different name. We need to make sure that it will not get traced back to us. So you will be the one who arranges this, Ruskin." Milverton patted his secretary's cheek. "I believe that you can handle the matter."
"Of course, sir." Ruskin smiled and the joy was bursting inside him that his beloved Mr. Milverton trusted him with such an important job. This added to his happiness that his employer made this discussion with him. He planned to have this future with Ruskin, and only with Ruskin from his old life - if the worst case scenario occurs. "You can count on me."
"Perfect." Milverton nodded and raised his head to look at his secretary. "Now we only need to decide what we will do with everything that we will leave behind. Incriminating documents - and subordinates who might have seen or heard something." He noted and waited for the suggestion what Ruskin would make.
Ruskin only thought about this for a moment, then he cheerfully answered.
"The documents might be useful one day, so we should bring them with ourselves, sir." He noted. "And about the subordinates... What if we kill all of them? Then they can never tell what they accidentally learned about you. We should indeed leave no trace behind us. I will happily kill them all, then burn everything down." He offered with excitement.
Milverton stared at his secretary's eyes which were sparkling from the devotion and love. Ruskin's expression was bright despite the fact that he talked about murdering a lot of people. But he would murder them for Milverton's sake, so for him, this was purely pleasure.
Milverton let out a chuckle and covered Ruskin's lips with his own for a moment.
"I will think this through." He replied while he watched his right hand with satisfaction. "But I like how ruthless and evil you are."
