"AND I'M NOT YOUR FRIEND?!" the ball screams at him
But mob can barely listen
His thoughts wander to Twixxel-
Twixxel whos forever traped in this god forsaken world.
Guilt flows through every bone of his body.
He can't live with himself after getting Twixxel killed so easily, just for wanting to help Mob-
Next, they wander to himself.
Anger and rage courses through his veins as he points the gun towards verity.
He feels regret.
Regret for opening the box, regret for trusting verity, regret for staying with the ball.
Regret for wanting to get rid of him-
He hates himself for that.
He hates with everything he can muster. He hates that he feels bad as he listens to verity's crazy ranting.
He hates that he's hestistating the sligthest bit.
He feels sad.
Sad for verity, sad for twixxel, sad for himself, for so easily trusting the ball because he was lonely.
sad for-
He swallows dryly.
Sad for his parents.
He dosen't want to think about them.
At the same time he yearns for them
He yearns for his dad-
For grox to hold him, to tell him everything will be okey.
He yearns for his father-
For Froggy's stern words, his gentle protectiveness.
He misses them.
He misses his parents so much and the last time-
The last time he saw his dad he sent him away.
He know that he wasn't being fair to him. To any of them.
The guilt in his body grows.
He didn't want his dad to get hurt.
He didn't want verity to mangle him like-
The thought alone makes him feel like throwing up.
He didn't mean to worry his parents.
He didn't mean to worry twixxel he-
He shouldn't have contacted any of them.
He should've tried to handle verity alone- he should've just stayed with him and made him happy-
He loved wandering worlds.
He didn't want to be stuck in his parents empire forever.
But now he's stuck with someone he can't escape and he feels regret.
He would've gladly stayed forever with them if it ment not meeting verity.
A pained expression appears on his face with another load of guilt.
He feels so selfish.
Selfish for thinking like that. If it wasn't Mob, another soul, maybe even many more would've fallen victim to verity.
He should be glad.
So why does he feels so..
Broken.
Mob dosen't like to think of himself as broken.
But he remembers the way his Dad looked at him when he came.
Everything that made Mob, well Mob was torn away from him.
He hated what verity made of him.
"So i'm just, stuck with you?" He seethes through his teeth, his tail lashing.
He hates him- he hates Verity so much but..
At the same time, he can't hate him.
Because he knows.
He knows what it feels like to be lonely, he knows what it feels like to want to be with someone-
If Verity just hadn't....
maybe he would have..
"Your not stuck!" The ball begs him,
Mobs hands shake- staring down at verity
"We can do this together-" Verity says soothingly, trying to coax Mob to sumbission.
A traitorous part of Mob's mind agrees.
Because he wouldn't be alone anymore
But at the same time, he would be depressingly alone.
He wouldn't be able to see his parents again-
Twixxel would have died for nothing.
"So put the gun down instea-" verity starts pleading.
Mob swiftly raises the gun towards himself.
He stares at the celing before closing bis eyes.
The shot runs out.
He feels himself fall.
It's dark.
Hes hurting.
He wishes... he wishes he could've apologized to twixxel, for getting him into this mess, for getting killed just because he wanted to protect Mob.
He wishes he could apologize to Verity.
It sounds crazy admitting it.
He wishes he could apologize for leaving him, apologize for how things turned out.
But mostly,
Mostly he wishes to hug his parents one last time, he wished he would've visited them atleast one time after he left.
He wishes he could apologize for making them worry.
For breaking the promise he made with his dad.
"Promise me, Mob" he hears a soft voice, softly flowing through his ears.
A memory.
"Dad..." he gurgles softly, as the life quickly drains out of his body.
"promise me to never take a gun to take matters into your own hands."
It feels like a soft whisper.
Like a warm blanket wrapping around him for sleep.
He can't bring himself to whisper.
He can barely think as he falls limp and his breathing falls flat.
He sees the faces of his parents in his memory and can only think of two words.
I'm sorry.
He hopes his parents will never find him.
He dosen't want them to live with his failure.
