[Wu POV]
"WU!"
"GARMADON!" Slamming his fist against the table, Wu tried reasoning with his brother.
"I understand your worries, but for the sake of The Ninja, and possibly the entirety of Ninjago, we need to get to the temple!"
"For the sake of The Ninja we should not go to the temple! You know it would be best for only one of us to go. It is too early for this." His Brother all but pleas.
Wu settled a Glare at his distressed brother.
"Uhh what temple?" Breaking the idea the brothers were alone, they glance at the door and back at each other.
Garmadon and Wu held a silent conversation with their eyes darting between each other and the Ninja. The winner of the mysterious argument was clear the second Garmadon stood and walked off, not bothering to close the sliding door.
After a few moments of silence, "Master Wu? What's going on?" Harumi entered.
"Yeah! What's got Sensei so worked up?" Cole followed, entering behind her with the rest.
Wu let out a long sigh before turning his entire body to face his students, keeping his head up. "I have finally found a solution to our current predicament."
"Master Wu?" Nya questioned.
"Why would Sensei be upset about that?" Harumi followed.
"Is it another thing from your guys past that you would rather not tell us about because it brings up bad memories and now you have to tell us or the world is gonna end again?" Jay interrupted.
Wu looked down in enough time to catch Cole wack Jay across his head.
Eyeing each of his ninja, he made up his mind. He could only hope his nephew would understand.
"Students, please come sit. There is something I must tell you."
Harumi, the youngest of their disciples was the first to approach, sitting right beside him, followed by Zane and Nya.
While Cole took the seat across from Harumi, securing their rightful places as the teams Leader and vice leader, Jay followed, sitting infront of Nya.
Kai sat opposite of Wu.
"I want to make it clear that what is to be revealed is a secret kept close to mine and Garmadons hearts. What you will hear today must not be repeated ever. Too much would be risked if this were to get out."
"I was hoping to push this off for as long as possible, but the time has come..."
"Uh Master, your kinda scaring me" Jay, again, interrupted.
"So Jay was right?" Cole...
"There's a first for everything." Kai declared. His siblings joining in, only to stop at their masters words.
"Students! Please, I must explain this without interruption."
"Sorry Master" they all collectively quieted down.
Wu let out a quick cough, "And not only is this a risk for us, but for all of Ninjago. Where i plan on taking you will be difficult for all parties involved."
"The Source Temple, is a temple my father created. Originally, Garmadon was suppose to inherit the temple, and I the monastery. As you can tell, neither of us did get the temple, and have been left to 'share' the monastery." Wu silently followed his brothers figure as it re-entered the room, tea in hand.
Garmadon sat at the edge of the table, setting down a few boxes of travelers tea.
[Garmadon POV]
"Come now, you make it sound as though we are forced to live together." Garmadon let out a chuckle, emphasizing his brothers claim.
"Perhaps. But, as I was saying–"
"The temple was inherited by Lloyd. The Grandson of The First Spinjitzu Master." Outing himself before his brother could, Garmadon interjected.
"WHAT?!" Obviously, Jay had the most dramatic reaction, as he reeled back.
"GRANDSON??" Followed up by the second most over dramatic Ninja, Kai.
"MASTER WU HAS A CHILD??" Cole, allowing his surprise to overcome his normally calm demeanor shouted while pointing an accusatory finger at his master.
"Ehm...no, Wu does not have– Lloyd is not his son, but mine." If Garmadon hadn't seen the glare in his brother's eyes, he might've let his tongue slip. That story was just as too soon as this one.
Though, maybe after all this is over, he would let it slip. A sort of revenge, for getting Lloyd involved with all of this.
Wait...
He did ask his son for permission before telling the Ninja right?
"Wu? You did inform Lloyd about this visit? right?"
With how he tensed, Garmadon almost felt pity. He supposes this would be a sort of revenge in its own way. After all, he wasn't the one who let the Oni out of the bag.
Nope.
Father forgive his idiot brother.
"Shit." Garmadon choked on his tea, not expecting Wu to vocalize his realization.
The Ninja, who were just yelling questions stopped, looking absolutely shocked at their masters words.
"Master Wu!" Nya reprimanded.
"Sensei?"Cole, sharing a concerned glance with their leader.
"What do you mean, your son?"Kai, not deferred,continued the onslaught of questions. "How have we never heard of him till now?"
"OKAY!", Harumi clapped her hands together, silencing the Ninja.
"Thank you, Harumi," Garmadon resumed, "Questions later. There is much to explain before we can even head out. Now",
Garmadons gaze flicked over to his brother, who was still stock quiet and still, "Lloyd inherited the Temple, but we will not find what we are looking for there. The Temple is simply a tether to Lloyd. Travelers Tea is only able to locate Lloyd from inside the Temple."
"Why would we need to meet your son to fix all of this?" Harumi gestured to all of her and the other ninja, emphasizing on all of this.
"Because, Lloyd has–he is uhm– connected to the elements the same way our father was. He, is essentially the second coming of the first spinjitsu Master."
"WHAT?" Jay.
"SENSEI!" Kai & Nya.
"I WANT TO YELL TOO" Zane.
"Why," Harumi, bless her soul, questioned without shouting. "Is he 'tethered' to this Temple? Is there something keeping him there?"
"That, is a complicated question, one i myself am not able to answer. That is something only Lloyd can."
"OH so you answer her questions!!" Jay exclaimed.
"Nya, be a dear and put a plug in your Yang."
Nya, got up with a sigh and began dragging Jay out. "On it Sensei."
"Now, Brother, are you planning on informing Lloyd before it is too late? Or should we start praying to father?"
"Sensei, why is it that Masters heart rate has jumped so high?" Zane asked after a quick scan.
"Ha! You will all understand soon. Your Master has practically doomed us all to the cursed realm when we die."
"You're joking."Harumi.
"Why do you seem so proud of that?" Cole.
"There's no way that's gonna happen right? Right?!" Kai.
